I did this thread because even thought some people hated Tanya I know some of them thought Jo was a really good actress

I think they are both rubbish ham actresses. As bad as each other. The difference is that I like Tanya but loathe Leanne. Who do you think is best ?
Xmas/boxing day 2007, the episode where she let Max out of the coffin (ridiculous concept but brilliant acting) and last night stand out as terrific performances for me. Yesterday I really got the impression that Jo gave it her all and truly understood her character, which thanks to poor writing has been lacking for a while for many characters/actors.

Jo Joyner. How do you think an actor/actress is suppose to act because you don't really say why you think everyone in Eastenders and Coronation Street can't act? Do you watch Emmerdale?

I do watch it. I suspect that most actors and actresses are better at acting than they actually show during the filming of soaps. Turning to look at the phone when it rings, smiling to themself when nobody else is in the room etc etc are things that normal people just don't do. However, because soaps are so badly and cheaply written, they have to make sure that even stupid people can understand what is going on so hence the ridiculous over the top ham acting.

Its not the actors/actresses fault the director tells them how to act in each scene but getting back on topic I think Jo is a fantastic actress
I think this thread is coming along really well because it shows that people were impressed by Jo's acting no matter what they thought of Tanya

Hi Morman Girl!
Its gonna be so weird without Tanya, it will feel like the rubbish 2010-11 era when she was on her maternity leave,
Jo has a big fan base and some people who don't like Tanya liked Jo because she gave some fantastic performances

Jo always give great performances, but I think xmas 2007 was brilliant and the sl was great. Its a shame her sl started to become tedious and repetitive and they turned her into a hypocritical snob.

I put that people can vote more than once if they want to if they can't make their mind up like me but I agree Christmas day 2007 was a really good performance. I think I might do these polls for each Eastenders actor or actress I like who leave in the futuer like Patsy Palmer and Jake Wood and Lorna Fitzgerald and Jessie Wallace and Lindsey Coulson and Jacqueline Jossa and a few others. If Tanya wasn't a hypocrite would you of liked a bit now?
