Agreed. Which is why I went for Xmas/Boxing day 2007 and last night's episode. I thought Jo was really good last night (never had a problem with her acting) but more importantly Tanya had finally removed the scales from her eyes, faced a few home truths and realised that she had to do something. The character evolved a bit so that was good.

However, because soaps are so badly and cheaply written, they have to make sure that even stupid people can understand what is going on so hence the ridiculous over the top ham acting.”
Bib: I do both these. If I think of something nice I smile and if the phone rings I look at it to answer it. I guess it means that I'm not normal then.
I thought Jo was great last night; like I said before Eastenders often is in a league of its own when it comes to exits. My only gripe was Tanya should have said some of the things to Max years ago.
Done, MG.

Voted for when Tanya broke down after seeing Pat on her deathbed

. Thought she did good stuff there. Though, if I had a multiple choice, I would've chosen the "Burying Max Alive" episode too.

Thats ok
Thanks everyone for voting
Jo is a great actress and I was sad to see her go last night.
Her stand out performances were Stax, the burial, the start of her cancer until everyone found out and last night IMO.
The character has come full circle and I feel the time was right for her to go but she definetly left her mark and won't be forgotten!

Thanks so did I. Im thinking about doing a thread like this for Lindsey Coulsan when she eventually leaves and June Brown and Patsy Palmer and Lorna Fitzgerald and Jessie Wallace and Steve McFadden and Steve John Shepherd and Charlie Brooks and eventually when Adam leaves.
Thanks for everyone who has voted
I find it really nice that Jo Joyner impressed so many people in the Christmas Day 2007 episode and in second place is her last episode and then in 3rd place is the episode when everyone found out about Tanya's cancer

MG, you STILL haven't had your surprise? Are you sure your Dad's not on a wind-up. Seems a bit of a long time to make you wait...

hope it happens soon.

I think I will and that is when I think Eastenders should end once Adam has left

I think that no character is bigger than the show,
what about the Beale/Fowler kids,
I think its the right time for Martin and Vikki to come back!

I would like Martin and Vicki to come back.
Its nice to see Jo Joyner impresses some people with her performances
Christmas Day 2007 episode is still winning and then Jo's performance in when Tanya found out she had Cancer is second and her last episode is third
I really missed her in tonight's episode but I knew I would miss her anyway. I had better get used to it though. Sadly she isn't coming back well not in the foreseeable future anyway.
