She gets spontaneous human combustion!

Have you ever seen No Angels before or Trying Again?
The one where she buried max alive and realised she made a mistake and run to dig him up. Also the episode where Vanessa found out about max and Tanyas affair/tanya discovering she had cancer. I personally think Zoe Lucker is a miles better actress than Jo but in that episode Jo was great and Zoe... Not so much.
When did people start to go off Tanya?
I have been looking at old threads on here from 2007 and lots of people on here back then loved Tanya. I know Tanya wasn't too bad before she buried Max alive IMO there was nothing unlikeable about her and there is lots of praise about Jo Joyner on threads from December 2007.
I have done a Eastenders scrapbook and there are a couple of pages of my favourite two characters Max and Tanya and a page of Jo and Jake at awards and other events.
I miss watching Jo as Tanya.
When did people start to go off Tanya and please say why you didn't like her when she first came into Eastenders because IMO she was one of the best female characters from July 2006-February 2008.
When I watch early clips of Tanya she wasn't too bad IMO.
Also has anyone seen No Angels before. Can everyone keep your fingers crossed I will get to meet Jo Joyner? It will make me so happy if I get to meet my idol
Please let this thread drop.
I don't understand the hate for Tanya in 2006 and 2007 and just so everyone knows being obsessed is part of my autism so I can't help it and I want to meet Jo Joyner.

I dont think anyone hates Tanya or Jo Joyner for that matter
I do think people are getting frustrated with you asking the same thing over and over again
I know I am - sorry!

Your scrapbook sounds lovely MG, I used to keep one on my football team many moons ago.
Don't get too despondent about not meeting your EE favourite Jo Joyner yet, I'm sure if you're patient then a chance will arise sooner or later.
Everything comes to those who wait as they say, and the longer you wait the more it'll mean to you when it finally happens.

When you started making 58853 threads a day about her.
I love Tanya Branning! Really want her to come back!

That's not bad acting

They're supposed to dramatise everything, I'd hate to watch your soaps with everyone poker-faced! And who doesn't look at their phone when they ring?
That's the nature of soaps and the way they have to work, and not just soaps, with many dramas, movies and ESPECIALLY plays, so I am surprised you are in to acting at all.

Well I want to know when people went of Tanya was it after she buried Max alive or was it a few months after she arrived in Walford or just before Christmas 2007 and I want to know if anyone has seen No Angels and I want to know what was unlikeable about Tanya when she first arrived that made people on here dislike her when she was a new character when people have answered them then I won't need to ask them again.

I hope your right
For crying out loud, I hate the character of Tanya, I never went off her because I didn't like her to begin with. I haven't seen No Angels and never want to. I have seen Jo Joyner in Dr Who and a programme about women cab drivers where she played a similar dizzy, mouthy character that she did in Eastenders. Hope this is clear enough.

Mormon Girl, I don't want you to be upset by this comment. But you can get help to address your obssessive behaviour. My nephew is autistic and can be very problematic for my sister when his routine changes or when he gets something into his head that he wants to do. He sees a trained councillor who tries to dissuade him from certain things. It isn't healthy for people to encourage you to aim for something that is 95% improbable. It can make your autism worse and more difficult for you to accept things.
You need to consider this. Please. Just try it. Close your eyes and think this next thought:
"I am unlikely to meet Jo Joyner." Now you need to keep thinking this. I know it's upsetting, disappointing and hard to accept. But you could end up being very very disenchanted about things if what you aim for doesn't happen. Just because you have autism doesn't mean you can't think rationally when guided. You need to seek that guidance.
Try and imagine how Jo Joyner will feel. You come across as a bit of a creepy stalker. That isn't a nice enticement to try and get someone to meet you. And actually, what happens if you do meet her? Do you start imagining you'll become best buddies and go for coffee mornnings together? You need to stop creating thread after thread about Jo Joyner. It results in you getting upset because posters start posting negative things about the person you idolise. It's natural they'll respond that way. Just try, for a few days, to not create a Jo Joyner thread. She isn't even relevant in EastEnders anymore anyway. She's left.
As I say, I'm writing this to try and help you. People pussy footing around you in order to try and give you what you want is not helping you. You need to address the problem yourself. Good luck. Best Wishes. x

How do you know it's a meeting with Jo Joyner? How do you know Jo Joyner will agree? How do you know your dad isn't just trying to be kind and give himself a bit of peace by letting you think what he wants you to think? You probably do go on about it quite a lot!

He needs a kick up the bum if he's promised you a treat and you've been waiting over a year for it. He probably hasn't got anything for you. If he did he wouldn't go around telling you he had a surprise planned then leaving it indefinitely. It's also not a surprise if he tells you.

What didn't you like about Tanya when she first arrived?Do you think Jo can't act. You keep saying you never liked Tanya but what was so unlikeable about Tanya in these scenes?

You never explain why you never liked Tanya if you explain then I won't keep asking you the questions. If people don't explain why they don't like something I want to know why. Don't you think Jo can act at all? Do you know what No Angels is about its a comedy and Jo was good in it:

Also if you became EP in May 2006 what would you have done with Tanya?

Yes. It's not simple in life like ringing Jo Joyner's agent and saying "Hi, yes, my daughter has autism and she wants to meet Jo Joyner" and the agent saying "Of course sir. We'll fix that up for Wednesday!"
This "I will meet her" nonsense has to stop. It is unhealthy and creating false hope.
