So....if you could choose your very own line up for three nights at Glasto, who would it be?

Only a couple of provisos - You may choose bands from the past providing that all the members are still alive, and you have to choose three acts for each night, two supports and a headliner.

Here's mine for starters...

Friday Night

Support - Mercury Rev, Leftfield
Headliner - The Smiths

Saturday

Support - Kasabian, Sisters of Mercy
Headliner - Muse

Sunday

Support - Jake Bugg, B52's
Headliner - David Bowie

Thank christ for that. With these last two suggestions, the entire crowd would be made up of people from Essex.

You can see why organising a successful festival is best left to those who actually have a clue, can't you?

The idea of the thread is not to suggest viable line-ups, just line-ups that appeal to individual tastes. Personally one of the reasons I won't attend Glasto is that there's little or nothing musically to sufficiently interest me....

You must be having a laugh - there are 58 STAGES for chrissakes! Why do people focus on the Pyramid (main) stage and judge the festival solely on that stage?

OK, slight exaggeration - I had a look at the link (for chris's sake) and I admit that I like the look of the 'Gully' and a few other bits are OK.

Mainly because the Pyramid, West Holt and Other stages are the ones that the Beeb carry live.

And those sets would get THOUSANDS of reruns on BBC4, and just like with Chic's set from Friday, LOTS of airplay on Radio 2 and 6Music...
