Ideas for new audition format?
Title says it all.
In terms of TV competitions we've had arena auditions, blind auditions and closed/room auditions. If a new show was to come along, how could they do it differently? Really interested as to what ideas anyone can come up with

I doubt there would be anything. Perhaps in front of an audience of 100 would work.

Have audition shows based around certain styles of music, for example one week could be auditions in an open mic style jazz bar setting and the next have opera auditionees performing arias in a theatre, and each of the auditions has one judge familar with that type of music compiling the 'best' to go forward to a week of live shows, one based around each style, which the public vote for the best in each category who then compete in a grand final

Changing it around too much won't do the ratings any favours.
