EE BSA - When will it start to play out?
From winning the top loser title at the BSA in May, I was wondering "if" they had something good planned, when will it air on screen?
I'm not seeing any big difference in writing or quality yet! It would be very stupid if they had planned nothing since! They just added a bunch of characters, do they have plans for them or let them turn into deadwood! Sam seemed promising when he was announced but look how he turned out, as a matter of fact the whole family is deadwood! |

It is a shame that Sam hasn't turned out to be quite as likable or exciting as I thought me might be. In fact with Ava, the writers of EastEnders do not seem to know quite where they want to bring her. I thought it was interesting she didn't get one mention in Tanya's exit episode.
The whole thing with Sam at present is rather dull, but I'm not sure what is in the pipeline for them. With regards to big things happening, Ronnie Branning is on the way back which if you believe the reports throws Kat/Alfie/Roxy back in the centre again, and actually splits Roxy and Alfie up. Jake Stone (Jamie Lomas) is coming to Albert Square in August. I think he will most likely arrive with a returning Lauren Branning. Michael Moon's exit is being built up to be quite a corker I think. This one is going to get quite dark I think, and there is rumours that it ends with a suicide attempt. Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy) arrives back in Walford and finds himself in the centre of Michael and Janine. I would hope that the days of love and warmth are set to be numbered, because it is safe to say they haven't worked. EastEnders has an opportunity to bring back the viewers they have lost with a really exciting autumn/winter. Lorraine Newman hasn't had the best of starts at the show and a lot of her ideas have been dreadful. I do love that she rebuilt the Beales which is set to see Cindy Jnr join later in the year. I think EastEnders needs to go back to basics a little bit. It was always strongest when revolved around families. The families of Albert Square at the moment are very fragmented families. I think it wouldn't do any harm to have a two parent family, or a same sex couple aswell to reflect modern Britain. |

sorted!
![]() ![]() As a character, Sam has fallen flat. His love story with Ava is extremely contrived, he has shown barely any remorse for leaving Ava and Dexter, yet Ava believes that Dexter just needs 'time to adjust'. Knowing EE it will take him twenty years to.

I wouldn't say its been much better but there have been very good episode in 2013 (you could probably count them in one hand mind you)
Back to the point, Sam, Ava and Dexter im hoping will come into their own and have a good story line im thinking a domestic abuse SL, i think now that Tanya is gone Ava will interect with Cora more and we will get a few good scenes of Cora opening up about why she gave her up for adoption and why she never tried to find her again. I do think however we can get some amazing episodes and scenes in the next 8 months or so yet no matter what the BSA nominations will all go to Kat and Alfie reunion episodes and moments, a main problem of the past BSAs Kat and Alfie were nominated, yet there were other episodes superior in quality but since they are fan favorites to some. |
