So since 2012 we have seen quite a few popular and Iconic (And some legends)female characters leave Walford.
But who had the best Exit storyline?

Since 2012?? Only pat was an iconic female who has left; before her Peggy; before that Pauline and before that Sharon in early 2006.

Small poll dan.

Only pat had a "proper" exit, the others were rushed and silly, Stacey I couldn't wait to see the back of, horrible slappable cow.

+1

Tanya and Zainab aren't iconic characters that's just silly talk they wouldn't even make the top ten list of Eastenders all time characters you feel the loss of Pat,Peggy,Sharon and Pauline more.

Well spotted. Wonder why her name was included in the list.

Stacey and Pat got my votes.

Easily Pat - not only was it sad, but it was closure for the fans. It was a real farewell, packaged superbly with the return of David Wicks - giving Eastenders it's strongest fortnight in years. It hasn't been as strong since either in my opinion.

Peggy's was good, but they left the door open for a return - and they've tried to tempt her back a few times already. I'm not saying every character should die when they leave, but I don't like the talk of a return every few months.

Personally I think Babs will return at some point - Peggy will have cancer and hopefully that'll spark a full out Mitchell reunion for around 6 months.

What about Shenice? She was well popular.
How can you not have Shenice on the poll?

It was a slip of the button I meant 2010 (as in this decade) of course Pauline ect are icons

As I said above it's just the popular women to leave over the past few years.

Pat was the biggest loss of all. She never should've been killed off. I couldn't care less if I never saw the others again.

I am kind of 50/50 with pat. Yeah of course the show still misses her but I kind of always wanted her to be killed off when Pam announced her exit from the show.

The last think I would have wanted was a black cab exit....for her to never return again and be killed off screen.

That wouldn't have happened. Pam St. Clement didn't want Pat killed off so she obviously would've returned at some point. There was no need for Pat to die when she did. She could've done a Ethel and returned to die years from now

That's all well and good but we don't know what God has lined up for us. We don't know when we are going to die.

I heard David Jason (and the writer) talked about a return of Only Fools and Horses to mark the 30th Birthday and they had an outline on the episode but then the writer died before he could pen anything.....

If your going with that lot you may as well have stuck Ronnie in there her exit was miles better than zainabs and Peggy's, but il go with pats which was the most emotional of recent times

I dont believe in God but I get what you're saying

Better to be safe than sorry. Still, Pam isn't that old. June Brown left when she was around Pam's age and ended up returning.

Don't worry. You put Pat in the poll and she's winning. That's all that matters

I was glad Pat died. The last thing I wanted for such an iconic character was to fizzle out. She had a fitting end.

Why?? These forums are filled with those who have only ever seen EE 2.0 - Stacey and Ronnie are the poster childs of this EE, not the likes of actual true characters, such as Pat and even Peggy.

Yeah but there's still plenty of us that have watch the 80's/90's ect.

Stacey was popular there's no doubt about that one and she had the last biggest EastEnders rating (12 million) when she left and not to mention the amount of awards people voted for her to win.

But

Ronnie I just don't understand. Sure she was involved in some of the biggest storylines and other than Danielle storyline and the Baby Swap she was hardly a main feature
when compared to other other Two.
