It's been a long week, but we're back everyone! Your favourite forum member is back in the hosting seat as well, what more could you ask for?

Anyway, welcome back to The Chance Factor ladies and gentlemen. Last week, we lost Kerry McGregor who was voted off by the judges after her sing-off with Lucy Spraggan. That leaves us with just 5 acts, making this the quarterfinal of the competition!

Today, the remaining five acts will each sing two songs. One that will show off their vocals, the Upplugged theme, and a Lucky Dip that forced the mentors to get creative. Tonight, 5 must become 4. It's a single elimination once again, with this being the final show to feature a sing-off after the results. From next week onwards, the act with the fewest amount of votes will be automatically eliminated. But enough talk of what's going to happen next week, let's introduce you to the judges and top 5 for tonight's show before we start thinking about the next one:

bboy1988
& the Boys
James Michael
Paije Richardson

jackamakka & the last of the Girls
Lucy Spraggan

pingu58011 & the last of the Overs
Brenda Edwards

puppylove7 & the last of the Groups
Union J

I hope posting this thread won't go as badly as it did last time I hosted. If everything went well, could the judges be so kind as to confirm their presence here?

Oh, and Jacka isn't going to be here tonight and explained why he couldn't send me comments, but he has provided me with a smiley review so you can get an indication of what he thought of the performances tonight. Well, let's get things started tonight then!

All right folks, opening tonight's show is last week's sing-off survivor. She's Jacka's only way to win, and showing the public why they should vote for her it's Lucy Spraggan doing her own thing with Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men!

Lucy
Lucy that was a pretty nice performance and a good comeback for you. The only problem I have for that is that the song is used a lot in singing competitions, and it is such a current song that the public may feel it is a little too predictable? Overall though it was a very good song choice that showed off your amazing vocals, and it is unplugged so I understand that you should use your guitar. I hope on the next performance you don`t have your guitar with you!!!

Lucy

Lucy, this was such an incredible chance for you to really shine as no one could have accused you of being repetitive or that because of the theme. I always feel safe and comfortable watching you when you perform but the last couple of songs I have found have started to verge on the side of boring. You every week have came out and just covered an act and I still haven't seen the Spraggan effect on a song which is a grave disappointment to me. You have the potential to be amazing and I just seem to be left with the bitter aftertaste of disappointment with you. I hope your second song can redeem you tonight or you could be in a lotta trouble.

Not a very good selection of comments for Lucy there. Will she be able to turn it around with her second performance?

Next up in our line-up of acoustic performances it's Paije Richardson singing American The Voice winner Javier Colon's version of Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.

Paije
Paije I moaned at your mentor last week for giving you a predictable song, and yet again you have delivered a below average, very predictable song. I understand that your mentor has won competitions before so I thought he would be able to find less predictable but it has been the same for you the last 2 weeks. Also, I don`t like that it was a performance by someone off the voice. Really not impressed tonight. The only thing I liked were the vocals. I really didn`t like the song choice at all!!!

Paije

Paije, this was a very hard theme for you as this isn't your normal style of singing acoustically. But I tell you what my man that was stunning. Your voice is so rich and soulful and seems to be able to lend itself to any song that I have thrown at you. I am actually glad that EoS decided to use this theme as it meant we were pushed out of our comfort zone but in my opinion Paije you absolutely smashed up that performance. I really hope the public love de the vulnerability and emotion you showed during that performance.

Really predictable so you could have told me that Paije would sing this song. That's a load of baloney and something tells me that my category is gonna get a lotta stick tonight for a strange reason

So you think I am doing this tactically? Time after time is a predictable song used a lot. And also, look for my comments for James before you judge!!!

Mixed comments for Paije tonight, with only Pingu not being too impressed by the song choice. Can Paije Richardson win him over as well with his second performance later tonight?

Next up it's Eliza's only group still in the competition. Hoping to win over their critics, it's the boys from Union J with Heart on My Sleeve by Olly Murs!

Well that is obviously not happening. I just feel that Paije has been very predictable with songs you probably picked quckily imo

Boys that was a quite sweet performance, and the vocals and harmonizes were great. The only problem, like Paije is that it was quite predictable. A song by a previous x-factor contestant, and your mentor knew that Olly Murs may have been used for the Lucky Dip. So yes, I am very 50/50 on that performance. I really hope that you can redeem yourself in the next performance!!!!

Union J

Guys well done on making it through to this week. After that song choi last week I honestly was shocked to see you not in the bottom 2. I think comparing that to last week it was a better song choice but I'm still sorta on the fence. I would have loved your mentor to find a cover that actually showed us where you guys would have harmonised as I didn't really feel that harmonies would work. I look forward to your next song in the hope you can really pull it outta the bag to make it through it the next show.

As always, mixed comments for Union J. I don't think they have ever won the whole panel over with a song choice of theirs, but as long as they keep getting through I guess it doesn't really matter.

Next up, singing a song I will always remember because of a specific event. Yes, this is not the first time Stephen has used this song Anyway, let's see how well James Micheal will pull off William Fitzsimmons's cover of Kanye West's Heartless:
