I gave WWE2K16 a shot on one of the freebie days. Awful game, overcomplicated mess. I was spoiled by the excellent WCW and WWE outings on the N64, though, but still... ugh...

Not a bad selection of games this month but I imagine people who purchased WWE on offer when the free play weekend happened are going to be pretty unhappy right now.

They're probably already unhappy at playing such a stupidly overcomplicated mess of a game.

OR - giving it as a GWG might indicate just how poorly the take up on that freeplay weekend was

You think WWE 2K16 was over complicated? Really? I thought it was fine, although hate the new submission system.

The new submission system is the main thing I was thinking about, to be honest, but, also, just getting through menus to set up even a quick match was a chore.

Like I said, I'm of the generation spoiled by the excellent, and arguably still superior, No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 games on the N64

Wwe 2k16 is a good game flawed by a poor submission system and a pathetic online matchmaking network.

Fix those main issues and the game would be up their with the best of wwe games.

Looking forward to downloading it.

It's a stellar month for me, as I used to play dynasty warriors a few years back, haven't bothered for like 4/5 years, but seeing as warriors orochi is free, and has had surprisingly very good reviews. I'll give that a go aswell.

This month is slightly better but GWG hasn't been that great recently, maybe they've looked at PS+ and realised you don't have to give top notch games away to keep people subscribed.

My Gold sub expires the end of August, I might have to look at not renewing if Septembers line up is poor.

Not super keen on the Xb1 games, not a wrestling man or a dynasty warriors fan really.
The 360 games are both classics though. I have them on ps3 but it will be good to have them on xbox.

I only played AC Chronicles: China a few months back, I'm not into racers and I played Mirrors' Edge on 360 and PS3 so not fussed about those. Earthlock looks interesting though so I'll definitely try that out.

I can't believe I started this thread just over 3 years ago, in annoyance at how poor GwG was in comparison to PS+... We've come a long way, people

Yes you can when you click on the Gold section in the 360 it also lists the Xbox One game and you can also do this on the Xbox web site.

Loving Forza Horizon. Looking forward to 3 even more now
Only had a quick look at Earthlock but it seems interesting.

Never got on with mirrors edge and I already have the chronicles game.
Forza makes this a great month for me though.

I think games like Earthlock are the kind of games the Xbox needs more of. We need more turn based role playing games. The Japanese are the best at these kind of games but they rarely get released on Xbox consoles.

Because the Xbox One doesn't have any of them. Turn based role playing games are nowhere to be seen on the Xbox One and it would be nice to have them.

Argument could just simply be that demand isn't there. You're saying "we need..." but that's not exactly representative of the entire user base whereas the reality is more along the lines of 'you' wanting them
