What they should give away next is something like Condemned or F.E.A.R for Halloween, something like that anyway.

It would have been good if MS had allowed the use of larger external HDD/USB's. 32GB is fine for Arcade games or 1 or 2 on demand games and I use one of these myself (I hate having to uninstall then reinstall games) but being able to use a 500GB or 1TB HDD would have been far better but i'm sure MS have their reasons for not allowing it.
Have considered doing this before but never gotten round to it, I suppose with the price of 32GB pen drives now it wouldn't be too expensive to try. To those that did it, how was performance compared to the HDD? Noticeably worse?

Also I know I can delete games and re-download the digital ones I own. I think I just like to have my whole game collection on the machine so whichever game I want to play, I can just start playing with minimal wait time, also kind of reminds me which games I actually have, as when your collection gets to a certain size you can forget especially the more obscure titles. I also like to install my disc games too for best performance though I've never actually tested one installed vs not installed to see if the difference is enough to justify the space used.

Gears of War

Shoot Many Robots
Still nothing decent being offered for long term 'gold' subscribers.

Gears of War is a great game, but I can't imagine many people haven't already played it or its sequels.

Shoot Many Robots seems distinctly average. I'll check it out, but I'm not expecting much.

Yeah FF, I mean most people would already own or have owned 'Gears'. Shoot Many Robots is ok for a quick blast but does get boring quite quickly.

Nothing yet. Free games start sometime in 2014.

We'll probably get Lococycle first, and then get Ryse in a couple of years

I wish they would offer Tales Of Vesperia, now that would get a lot of people interested.

Amazingly, I haven't played any gears of wars games so it'll be something now for me and something about 7 years old for everyone else.

Still annoying people calling the games crap, sure they are old but that isn't the same thing as being bad, a great game in 2006 (as a average 94% suggests) should still be great today, though may not look quite as good.

Don't own the other game either so another good month for me.

I hope they do too, not for me as I already have it but it is a really great game that more people should get to play, something different too from the typical 360 experience i.e. shooters.

They might want to re-evaluate who their main target audience for GwG should be, because right now the program is beneficial mostly to those who have bought a 360 recently, who really are the minority.

Otherwise, they might consider changing the name to "Monthly Disappointment with Gold", because ever since GwG was launched it's been a massive disappointment

I'd like something released within the last 3 years at the very least!

To be honest i'm not really too bothered what games they offer, it's free after all so i'm not going to complain.

I'm not a fan of Gears of War and Shoot many robots looks a bit meh, but i'm still getting them just because they are free
