EastEnders - Tanya, Sharon, Ava and Cora

Is anyone finding it bizarre that Tanya didn't say goodbye to Ava and Sharon? I know Sharon left before Tanya but they were supposed to best mates. Also Tanya was so keen to find her half sister Ava and formed a relationship with her.

She didn't really say a proper goodbye to Cora and they couldn't have a proper mother-daughter hug.

What are your thoughts?

Yes it is somewhat strange but we can only assume she has text them.

Did anyone really buy into Tanya and Sharon as best mates? I'm glad their friendship was forgotten. It was fake and hollow.

Does anyone really buy into Ava as a character? She's a pathetic add on who serves little purpose, has no fixed characterisation and makes no sense whatsoever. It was pointless to make her a regular. Those couple of episodes last year should have been it for her because they clearly have no idea what she's about or what to with her.

I'm speaking for myself now but I also never bought into Cora and Tanya as mother and daughter. Sometimes it worked, mostly it didn't feel real and came off as 2 actresses acting. That's no slight on the acting of either actress but I felt they lacked chemistry as a believable mother and daughter.

For a supposedly important and major character Tanya's exit was very poor. Badly thought out and not very believable in terms of her being able to uproot her entire life in a flash. I don't see any reason why it all had to be crammed into a week's worth of episodes. I'm fed up of this style of storyline structure from EastEnders.
