I thought once Brendan, Mitzeee, Walker and Cheryl left the show wouldn't be the same anymore but I'm actually really enjoying it at the moment. Jim is one of my favourite characters, he's very funny and I enjoy his scenes with Dr Browning, Carmel and Dennis. I never liked Mercedes but her and Dr Browning are a great couple. Newer characters like Sienna, Maxine, Patrick and the Roscoe's are also very entertaining to watch. With new titles on the way and the returns of Kurt Benson and Rory Finnigan in the Later episodes and Claire Cunningham in the main show, I think this is the start of a great new era for the show.

I'm absolutely loving it too, the show has dealt with the departures of some big characters very well.

Great that some of the older characters are being lined up for storylines in the near future too.

I have always loved hollyoaks and I agree it is great at the moment.I was sad to see Brendan go but loving new characters. Bryan kirkwood is doing a good job of bringing it back to families.i wasn't a a fan of all the sixth formers and uni students of the last few years. Loving the roscoes.

Its brilliant right now

I remember the last time it lost lots of key characters in Clare,Max,OB, Warren and Justin and then Lucy Allan took over and all we know what happened there.

Thankfully Kirkwood is back, he knows Hollyoaks well and what works and seeing the likes of Tony,Myra and Diane take center stage has been brilliant.

I agree - I must admit when it was first announced BK was back I half expected a massive overhaul in the first few months but the changes have been done slowly and subtly (well more so than some other producers anyhow!) and I'm enjoying it more than I have in years now!
