Hi all

I hope this is the right forum to post this....

I have a Panasonic Viera tv given to me by someone. I recently signed up to a Netflix free trial and I want to watch it on my tv. I'm not really interested in watching it on my laptop or iPhone, only on the telly. I have the remote control for the tv but the person who gave it to me has lost the manual.

My question is, is my Panasonic telly internet ready? How do I find out if it is? The people at the Netflix helpline couldn't really help me.

Cheers.

From the dates on the AVForums thread about it here - http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-l...lxd600-22.html

... it looks like a 2006 model... so pretty old..

Even if it is Internet ready doesn't necessarily mean there will be a Netflix app anyway.
Your best bet would be looking into a device to plug into the TV like games console, Apple TV, Roku, Blu Ray player etc.
Or even get a cable that connects from your laptop to your tv.

Thanks all. I think it's too much hassle to be honest. I don't have a games console or Wii or anything like that. I'll just wait till I upgrade my telly. I probably watch too much as it is

If you don't mind spending a bit extra. Try the Roku LT box for £40 - £50.

According to this Netflix is compatible with Panasonic smart tv's. Might depend on the model though:

It isn't going to work with a 2006 model.
