Evening all.

Since peter has arrived back on the square, the continuity between him and Lauren has been evident and I'm pleased with that. It's clear from each scene he still cares a great deal for her.
Lucy on 21st June when peter asked why she had not mentioned the drinking said "This is Lauren, the love of your life, I didn't think it was my place"- he didn't disagree/tell her he doesnt.
Also we saw a little scene on the date where he said "I've missed that smile" and you could see he still had feelings for her?

Are EE trying to show him as still sort of being in love with her? I think going by history and the fact that the Beales/Brannings are strong family units, it'd be great if they put them together? I love their chemistry. But something tells me this "love" story between Lauren and Joey isnt' over. Ugh

Its evident that the storyline between Joey and Lauren just hasn't been working, depending on what happens when Lauren returns and if this Jake guy is involved in her storyline, I hope in the future they do something with them they do appear to have chemistry which is important.

I hope Joey Lauren rubbish has ended for good!

I have a feeling they're just going to add Peter into the whole Joey and Lauren mess and make it a love triangle...the writers have no imagination, and it's already being alluded to with Joey and Peter not liking each other.

It's a shame as Peter is better than that, and he has way more chemistry and history with Lauren. Their relationship is believable, but the one with Joey is rubbish.

I think Peter and Lauren will always share a connection as they were each other's 'first loves' and i think Peter will see off the Joey Brannings of this world. I've a feeling though they wont put them together at the moment but in a couple of years if both are still on show then yes id like to see them eventually get together for good.
