Put big Mo and Charlie back in the slater home . Keep Alice and Joey. Charlie and Mo could take Alice and Joey under there wing and Joey might even work better if they turned him into more of a Mickey type character working with Big mo doing dodgy dealings. I would like to see a different side to Joey maybe see what he's like in more of a comedy role.

Plus they have history in the show we need those sort of characters. Plus it's a friend for Patrick in Charlie and a friend in Jean by showing more of Big mo I'd love to see a Big Mo and Cora stand off like the days of Pat and Mo. I think that would be good IMO it was a big mistake Bryan Kirkwood axing Charlie Slater!

Eastenders hasn't been that bad IMO it just needs a few tweets here and there! We already have the beales fixed I wish I could I could put my ideas I have outlined to LN it's the smallest things that can make a big difference. LN is missing a trick by not showing big Mo set something up and let us have a Big Mo and Cora feud and throw the rest into the mix and we could have fire works

Charlie and Mo are relics from the past . Dinosaurs who have had their time . Bringing back Charlie and using Mo more would be a step backwards .

Yeah, bring back Charlie Slater as a Tony Soprano style crime boss who wants to take over Walford . Him and Phil could have a food war .

How do you figure that out? Id rather see alot more of big mo and bring back Charlie than have the likes of poppy and fatboy on This show at the minute. Plus it would be good for other characters related to them and I can think of loads of stories for big mo and Charlie

Its called progression . A soap has to keep moving forwards . Do you really want to see big Mo bang on about dodgy gear and fat Elvis ?
Charlie Slater left the show for a reason . His character had run its course .

I wish people would take off the rose tinted glasses when ot comes to past characters .

When will it all end ? Lets just sack everyone on the show at the minute and bring back everyone who used to be in it . That way it will be good again

I never really understood the logic of getting rid of either of them – I realise they rarely had storylines of their own, but they were important long-term characters with lots of links with both old and new faces – something the show really needs. There are few pre-2006 characters left, plus they would’ve given Kat something to do post Derek affair. The absence of Mo particularly (considering the character hasn’t officially left) in that period was inexplicable.

I seem to remember Jean siding with Alfie, so having Mo there would’ve been interesting, as out of loyalty she would’ve supported Kat. She would’ve also put Derek in his place.

I guess it’s costly to have them on the pay-roll if they do very little. Maybe in a period of cuts and austerity the execs had to get rid?

Roly the poodle had more storylines than Big Mo over the years - she's a waste of a wage on EE really

I liked the character of Big Mo when the Slater family first arrived in 2000 but over time they changed the character from formidable matriarch to comedic relief. I don't mind characters showing different sides of their personality but we never saw any of her early promise. The last good scenes she had was during Pat's death/exit s/l ; it was nice to see them working together as their history had been a defining trait of Big Mo's character in her early years but it seemed to be dropped in favour of the Pat and Peggy friendship. I don't mind if she leaves but she should be given a proper exit as she deserves that having been in the show for 13 years. I'm not opposed to guest appearances however these have not materialised which weakens the show imo at times when Kat would need support from her family. Her Nan is the only relative she has left in Walford . This was the case with Kat/ Derek affair s/l. Really not realistic that Mo wouldn't be there fighting Kat's corner.

Her visit to Pat in hospital was excellent.

“Keep your chin up. All three of ‘em!”

It was a really touching scene with Mo pretending to visit another friend when both of them knew full well that she was there to make sure Pat was ok. The little nod and “alright” she gave Pat later in the Vic was also a nice acknowledgement that despite all their differences over the years there was love and affection there.

I do agree that it was a shame that this was dropped over the years to develop Pat and Peggy as friends – there was scope to continue the Mo / Pat storyline as a long running arc, but it never got much airtime.

I don’t necessarily mind that she’s been relegated to a guest character, but considering it’s now July and she’s appeared in one episode, it doesn’t even seem she’s got ‘guest’ status.

I'm still surprised they haven't killed Charlie off-screen yet. Especially with the amount of ill visits Kat has seen him through since...

Kats very limited now and she can't really talk about her family or much about the past to anyone. So why still keep the sort of characters that hardly have anyone they or related to and apart from the beales at the minute every other family is missing something some those jigsaws need put back together. And I wish they would Get rid of Alfie already he's a curse to that show.

Imagine relegating Mo to a guest character when you've got the likes of Sam and Kim on the payroll.

She is a guest character now.

I do not want Charlie Slater back either. I do not want any old characters brought back as it is a retrograde step.

Glad somebody agrees with me I would also set it up as Charlie being a possible love interest for Cora. Have Cora living with Charlie big mo Jean Kat and Tommy The scenes of Cora big mo Jean and Kat in the slater house could be amazing and I think Cora would give Kat a laugh!

And one of the most believable family's 2000 to 2002 would have been no were as good if it hadn't been for the slaters
