Aaryn has been dumped from her modeling company.

Quote:
“Aaryn, season 15 cast member of Big Brother, revealed prejudices and other beliefs that we (Zephyr Talent) do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by Aaryn on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by Aaryn, either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are hers alone and do not represent the views or opinions of Zephyr Talent. Upon much consideration, we have decided to release Aaryn from her contract with Zephyr Talent.”

It's a shame that Aaryn has said such horrible things. She looks like she could be an interesting HG but impossible to support her now.

Check out the George Zimmerman trial that's currently going in the US. He shot and killed a teenager while the kid was walking home with skittles and a can of ice tea. It took the police a month to even arrest him.

not to mention the uk/aus has had all kinds of issues in the house including racism/sexism/assault, etc
no one is better than the other, everyone has flaws.
and big brother certainly doesn't represent a culture (uk/aus/usa or any others) it's a miniscule blip on a greater radar.”

I think the main difference is that the UK series actually broadcasts things like this and how it's dealt with, albeit rarely to the satisfaction of the entire viewing audience. The US version never puts this content on the broadcast version and works to cover it up. The House Guests aren't disciplined in anyway for this type of language.

What does one have to do with the other? Technically "freedom of speech" is irrelevant, because they're on CBS's show and CBS has the discretion to ask them to leave it for whatever reason they want. But if it did apply, being insulting doesn't automatically cancel it out.

Sweet. I didn't think of out of house consequences for their behavior, but that's even better than in house consequences.

Wow, those comments and housemates are truly disgusting. I know it's a cliche, but they are vile.

I just read that Candice has apparently said some homophobic-sounding things on the feeds, but I'm not stating this as fact as I don't watch them.

If so, the list of who to support gets smaller each day.

GinaMarie has been fired from her job as a pageant coordinator, a job which she loves as well

Totally, totally deserved, just like Aaryn.

Amazing how many shall be joining the ranks of the unemployable once they leave.

I just wish we could see their faces when they find out

And now Spencer may be losing his job as well.

“"Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments."

They ended their statement by saying they are "acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson".”

Since he's in a union job, firing him is a slower, more difficult process, but it sounds like hopefully they've initiated that process.
