I thought Will Smith did a great job as Muhammad Ali in 'Ali'.

Also, Denzel Washington as Malcom X.

Quite a few of my favourites are already listed.

I would add Hilary Swank, as Teena Brandon/Brandon Teena - Boys Don't Cry.

Not a Ben Kingsley fan, but his Gandhi pretty f''ing awesome. I do like Attenborough's old-fashioned biopics though, so have to add Downey's Chaplin, Denzel Washington's Biko and Kevin Kline's Donald Woods (Cry Freedom) and Simon Ward's Winston Churchill.

Toby Jones as Truman Capote in Infamous
Tammy Blanchard as Judy Garland in Me and My Shadows. I thought she was absolutely fabulous. It was as though you were watching the real thing in those recreations of Judy's films.

Michael Sheen as David Frost in Frost/Nixon
Frank Langella as Richard Nixon in Frost/Nixon
Ioan Gruffudd as William Wilberforce in Amazing Grace (very underrated film IMO)

Anna Madeley as Mrs Beeton in The Secret Life of Mrs Beeton
Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Hawking in Hawking
