I think they might do seperate coverage for bbc scotland and bbc northern ireland, and there might also be a chance of it being on the red button

There will definitely be separate coverage.

Chances are it'll be the BBC NI coverage on the red button, because their branding is closest to MOTD.

it says - The game will be on BBC Two Scotland, BBC Two NI and the BBC Sport website, while BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Ulster will also provide commentary. but i dont think bbc northern ireland and bbc scotland have regional versions of bbc two hd so i presume they'll use bbc red button hd to show the game in hd but if they're using seperate coverage, it gives the bbc a dilema which coverage to show on the red button hd. I think the game should be pushed to bbc one for scotland and northern ireland to solve the problem.

if bbc NI are doing the out side bradcast/ film production, it may not be flimed in HD. non of the Live GAA games shown on BBC NI are in HD.

So there will be 4 different BBC commentary teams at this match?, not complaining, obviously each platform serves a different audience, however can imagine the Daily Mail doing an article on it!

Keep the Champions League on ITV (and erm sadly Sky) I prefer watching ITV's coverage to BBC now with the tired Lawro, Lineker and Hansen line-up :yawn: I'd never thought I'd see the day when I would say ITV outdo the BBC for football coverage, but that day has come.

Hansen and Lawro in particular just come across bored and uninterested.

Lineker, Hansen and Lawrenson will be nowhere near this game.

Lawro has always come across as bored, it is just the way he is, he is funny on occasions, especially during the confederations cup, some of his remarks were genuinely funny, when Alan Green and Lawro are together on the Radio they are dynamite.

I actually agree about Lawrenson on the radio.

He's one of my preferred summarisers on that medium - he can be quite funny, and as you say he's got great chemistry with Alan Green.

Unfortunately his TV work is dreadful in my opinion.

The centralised contract comes in at the playoff round (or fourth/final qualifying round if you prefer)

At present the Celtic game isn't scheduled on BBC Red Button TV - but if you visit the link here http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/blogbbcin...tton-6-13-July and leave a message like I've just done, maybe we can get the Red Button team to schedule it! I see no reason why not - rights wise, if it's being shown on Scotland/NI and the BBC's website they must have all rights - so please leave a message on the blog and let's get the match on Freeview!

They never seemed to have a problem with them having four commentary teams at the Final when they had the FA Cup.

Should Celtic progress (which they now should) they will play Elfsborg (SWE) in the third qualifying round, as the Swedes are 7-1 up against a Latvian team I've never heard of.

PSV Eindhoven, Lyon, Zenit St Petersburg, Fenerbahce and last year's surprise package APOEL Nicosia enter the competition at this stage.

Arsenal, AC Milan, Schalke, Real Sociedad and Pacos de Ferreira will enter at the play-off round.
