Any updates or news on whether ITV will be bidding for champions league rights for the 2018-2021 cycle this late summer / Autumn ...?

You won't know unless they bid and win

APOEL Nicosia v The New Saints in the 2QR DOUBLE CONFIRMED for S4C on Tuesday.

With such as amazing result for Connah's Quay considering their budget (I've read it's the 10th smallest in the league), one wonders if it's possible for their game in the Europa League against Vojvodina to be shown on the Sgorio website?

Celtic's second leg is live on Premier Sports, bit of a shock there as Celtic don't normally sell there home games to broadcasters in the early rounds until they have too

Given what happened last week, they will probably delete it from their website and BT Sport will end up showing it instead

Yes I thought they pulled out due to rights issues. How have they managed to get it now.

Since you're obviously having problems, the word is definitely by the way.

Celtic v Lincoln Red Imps is scheduled for Premier Sports at 7.45 on Wednesday, according to the channel's website. http://www.premiersports.com/

That is what they did for the first leg but then BT got it.

Well yes but look at what happened last week, you can then understand the skepticism from some

Plus as already said, Celtic dont often sell the rights to these early matches, they would prefer bums on seats at the stadium instead, so this is totally at odds with that.

The tie is part of the season ticket so maybe they are not so worried about how many actually pay on the day.

Have the early CL rounds always been part of the season ticket though?

There are a couple of factors this time. Celtic have sold more season tickets than the last few years, whether due to Rangers being in the top flight or a genuine excitement around Brendan Rodgers as the new manager. Season ticket sales plus individual match sales have this game as a virtual sell out apparently. So to sell the rights at this late stage will have minimal effect.

Of course another factor in the sales could be a belief that it would not be on TV in the UK, which you correctly say tends to be the case with Celtic where they sell the rights themselves.

I would guess that Premier Sports has so few subscribers in Scotland (Australian Rugby League and NHL to name but 2 sports with little appeal north of the border) that them showing it would have minimal effect on the attendance. BT Sport would be another matter altogether.

Did they show any previous match live this year on the website?

For people outside the British Isles, LaOla1.tv will be streaming both APOEL v New Saints and Hafnarfjördur v Dundalk.

I have this and you can view if you hide your VPN (both on the computer and iphone app) - very easy to do if you have a google.

I watched some of the TNS v APOEL 1st leg on LaOla1 last week. They used the S4C feed, complete with DOG, Sgorio bumpers and half-time interviews - but without the sound track. So there was no commentary, just the stadium atmosphere.

No. The last live tie was Copenhagen v Newtown in the 2015/16 Europa League 2QR.
