To clarify by dominant I meant that British broadcasters paid the most, so one would expect UEFA would write into the tender that British home games would be prime time in UK market

Bayern Munich v Arsenal cannot take place same night as Leverkusen/Atletico or Sevilla/Lecister. Therefore must be on same night as either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

I didn't hear too much about this over the weekend, then again it was a particularly alcohol fuelled weekend for me! EDIT: it was discussed in the Europa League thread. Quote:
For the upcoming cycle, it was also decided to have two separate kick-off times in the UEFA Champions League, at 19.00CET (two matches) and 21.00CET (six matches), allowing fans opportunities to watch more matches.
So now we are going to have 2 x 6pm & 6 x 8pm kick-offs our time. Klaxons ready for the match-going fans revolt.http://www.uefa.org/mediaservices/me...d=2430054.html |

Wont be an issue if the two 7pm CET kickoffs are those clubs who are a further hour ahead, which it clearly will be. Problems will arise I guess if you only have 1 club (zero) that day where it applies to.
![]() Tuesday:- Basel v Arsenal Paris v Ludogorets Benfica v Napoli Dynamo Kyiv v Beşiktaş Man. City v Celtic Barcelona v Mönchengladbach Bayern v Atlético PSV v Rostov Wednesday:- Tottenham v CSKA Moskva Leverkusen v Monaco Legia v Sporting CP Real Madrid v Dortmund Porto v Leicester Club Brugge v København Juventus v Dinamo Zagreb Lyon v Sevilla |

You say that, but its 2 games per night so take last week's fixtures - which two would it be on each night? These threads thrive on predictions

Both Russian sides, Ludogorets and Besiktas playing away though doesnt help (all are at least CET+1 and one of them was playing a side in the same timezone anyway), I assume they will start factoring all this into the fixture planning ahead of time. |

In the above example I would guess on final match day, two games in same group at six. I'd guess Leicester group on Wed at 6pm.
Potentially arsenal group at 6pm. I'd guess the 6pm games will be away games for English teams and if that's not possible then next biggest tv markets. The change is for tv purposes, to get more money from larger tv markets with 3-4 teams in the competition |
