Can i come up with a suggestion for the next comp dtc ? Maybe weight the players, a bit like the fantasy comp, so you have to have a certain amount of bowlers and batsmen plus they have a value .

Had thought of doing this but it gets a bit tricky. With the way it is , you get to choose whether you want batsmen or bowlers. (Or both)
Also, if I was valuing the players, we'd all be able to afford lots of australians but not many englishmen!

Could put them in groups and you have to choose one from each group, like tso does with darts and snooker.

Your call either way fella.

true, in Dean, External competition, it was really difficult to pick 11 players.
in my opinion, the group idea won't work for cricket, it usually only has 11-13/(15 for the touring team) players in a squad for each team, in reality everyone would pick similar teams, whereas now most people pick different team, and it would be rare for two players to have the same 8 players.

I know australia has picked 18 players, but in reality everyone knows the 11 players they would pick, apart from Agar

it works perfectly for other sports, since they are more players to choose from.

50 within 10
Or 25 the nearest

Didn't realise the first test had gone quite that well!

Personally I'd prefer it if the players aren't weighted. It leaves plenty of room for variety in our selections as you can pick how to split your team numbers wise between bowlers and batsmen. Also it can be quite tricky and time consuming for dtc to weight each player.

Not really, you could do groups like

Watson
Clarke
Warner

KP
Trott
Cook

and say pick one from each. Works well in the darts and snooker

it works well in the snooker or darts or even golf, because each group usually has 10-11 players, but in cricket there are only 13-15 players in the squad, with only 11 players playing in each team.

so if there are only 3 or 4 players in the group, it is very likely that the teams are going to be similar.

Give people the chance to choose Watson and Clarke and they will. Give them the chance to choose either and they won't.
