Actually disgusting.

I don't know whether I'm more disgusted by the actual comments or the fact that CBS/producers clearly DO condone such behaviour. They should all be warned but Aaryn and GM especially should be kicked out. Even if they aren't, the public have the right to see them for the pricks they are and therefore should be broadcasted on the highlights show.

BBUSA makes me laugh with the ridiculous team names they come up with for themselves.

It's like a bad episode of the Apprentice.

Americans seem a bit prudish about sex on their main channels, but I've noticed on their late-night TV shows they have a far more laissez-faire and tolerant attitude toward racial issues and insults - and that is applied across the racial spectrum.

Even they wouldn't have tolerated Conor's victimisation of Deana, though.
one of the past winners was apparently physically abusive in the house so i'm sure Conor probably would've done just fine in BBUS..he wouldn't have been kicked out

Because they haven't broken any rules. The only thing that gets you kicked out is deliberate violence with contact that cannot be explained away as an accident (ie Dick Donato burning someone with a cigarette, but insisting it wasn't intentional...even though it obviously was - he went on to win the show)

There are no thought police or language rules on BBUS. They are all individually responsible for whatever word vomit they can muster.

Just reading about the stuff been said on BBUSA

Holy heck !!

"My sheets are dirty because the black girl was laying in them"

"Nobody will vote the same people as the queer"

"Don't talk about her, she could be in here and u wouldn't know(Dark room, black person)"

Stuff along those lines....!! And I here it's not been broadcast either, only livefeed viewers are picking up on it

Yeah well thats in the USA. You can speak like that in many countries but not here.

When they are aiming that language at fellow housemates and speaking in threatening, violent language about fellow housemates there should be no question as to whether they should be immediately removed. It's nothing to do with thought police or language rules but the effected housemates and their safety.

Nobody is automatically categorized as black. Even on legal forms there is an option to choose other or multi. You seem to assume everyone who is mixed race has the identifier forced on them. The reality is anyone who has lived on a different continent for a few generations is mixed race. The only question is how far back it happens and how many times. How is negating the portion that is African as not being enough any different than those (very rare) individuals who suggest any trace is enough?
I echo someone else's comment - do you seriously believe mixed-race people today aren't labelled black?

Not under the rules of the show and the contract they all signed when they went in. Under US law they have not committed a crime. Under the rules of the show, they have not broken any. It doesn't matter if what they've done is a violation of the BBUK rules or UK law, they've not violated anything in the US. If anything, if they were removed for that, they could probably sue and win for breech of contract.

Sorry, I don't respond to hyperbole. If you want to suggest any condition applies to every member of any group, all you're doing is exaggerating and stereotyping.

This is nonsense. He was smoking a cigarette in the only area they were allowed to smoke. Another housemate wanted him to stop smoking because she was sitting there eating. Which she could have done anywhere. He said no. And did his best to antagonize her, by blowing smoke in her direction. So she got up, walked over to him, and tried to snatch the cigarette out of his hand. He was waving his hand around right in front of his face, as she tried to grab it, and she burned herself. Totally within her control, and totally her fault.

He was not physically abusive. That would not be tolerated.

Sure, and I suppose he was pretending to talk about crushing her throat in his hands, too...

He was aiming at her and telling her he was going to burn her, then he burned her.

Even as recently as the 60's in some states it was illegal for a biracial person to marry a white person. That didn't change until the Supreme Court case Loving V. Virginia. In some Southern States there are still segregated high school proms. While great strides have been made there is still a long way to go when it comes to racism in the US. When major network shows like this do a shoddy job of covering it up instead of addressing it just adds fuel to the fire IMHO.
Where? In which states are they allowed to segregate high school proms? That is completely untrue.

I have the feeds and now BB seems to be delaying them by 5 minutes because of all the controversy. Right now it is 1:45pm BB time but the time stamp on my feeds says that it is 1:40pm. The delay just started this morning - it used to be synced right to the seconds..

I guess they're going to try to hide any more racist/gay slurs from these hideous people..

Of course it's true.

There are schools all over the South where the prom is handled by parents and community groups instead of the school - that means they get to dictate who is and is not included. This one was in the news just this year because it's the first time they've ever had an integrated prom...in 2013
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/30/living...ntegrated-prom

It's no different than the McMillan scandal, where parents organized a fake prom and then had a secret one that didn't include anyone.

http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/...n-2013-683616/

Every year another story pops up about a group of students in the south trying to integrate a prom. Morgan Freeman paid for a prom on the condition it wasn't segregated, he made the offer in 1997 and it wasn't accepted until 08.

Still think I'm lying?

I was watching feeds yesterday and Jeremy rubbed one of the girl's hats into his arse.

And this is a discussion with Jeremy and another housemate Spencer. (GM refers to another houseguest - GinaMarie who has been sacked from her job for racist comments)
Jeremy: This would be ideal, (GM) beats the **** out of Elissa, gets kicked out, Elissa has to go to the hospital and is out of the game.
Spencer: Harharhar, two for one.
Jeremy: Two for one, bro.
Spencer: Hehehehe
Jeremy: That would be ****ing amazing, dude... That would be ideal. Let's pray for that tonight.
Spencer: Yeah. Elissa wants to go home too.
Jeremy: We can put up Candace and Amanda. Is that just not, too perfect. It'd be too good to be true.
Spencer: Heeehehehehe.
Jeremy: Has that ever happened? Let's make history. Let's antagonize the shit out of that.

Jeremy: If you go to GMs, "GMs, beat the **** out of this girl, and I will make sure no producer comes in and stops you.
Spencer: Yeah.
Jeremy: We'll stand by the door and lock it. I promise, if you self-evict, you've got to beat her ass so you'll both go.
Jeremy (imitating GM): Alright dude, got you.
Jeremy: Or stab her, something.
Spencer: She'll probably take one of her high-heeled shoes and beat her to death with it.
Jeremy: That'd be ****ing awesome. Two for one, more like a three for one.
Spencer: I know, it really is.
Disgusting i'm gobsmacked

Don't they realise they're on TV? They would have been removed from the BBUK before they even finished their conversation.
Well yeh the tabloids rule this country, at least it's more real in America.

Jesus, is there no one decent in the house to call them out in their comments. Any self respecting person would be furious and call them out.

If you can't take aggressive language then you shouldn't be on BB. They actually ejected a HG last year even though there was hardly any physical contact, so physical contact is obviously punished.
