Ok this is getting outta hand now....CBS has to do something and fast.....they should just eject these people..and to think they will be cheered and everything if they are evicted is beyond me...now that is this huge CBS needs to act quick and too the point!

If they ejected people it would just bring more focus on it and possibly make the program look worse, why would CBS want that happening? Be realistic rather than sensationalist. More likely if there is more fuss they will let them know privately in the DR that they have to watch their words.

They would LOVE it....Just think not only will CBS get MORE exposure they will also be congratulated for dealing with the situation and getting them out the house so people wont have to listen to them say these comments i find it very hurtful being a gay male myself....

In the past, they have ignored everything from racial slurs to someone discussing in detail how he wanted to "rape (another housemate) to death". If they acknowledge this, they will have to acknowledge every similar incident that's happened since Grodner took over the show. There's no way that's going to happen, because then it calls into question the validity of the results. In several cases, the racist/bigoted/misogynist contestants have gone on to win, or to be invited back to the show for a second chance.

Yeh once you make it a big issue there is hardly any turning back, and the slightest thing will be picked up every year (like Jemima in the British version this year). It might actually make live stream unfeasible unless they had the sound blanked out at times, and they might feel it could be easier not even having live stream.

I do find it extremely shocking that racism, homophobia and misogyny is covered up and not condemned on national TV shows across America. You would think these types of comments would be dealt with appropriately considering the US is being run by Obama of all people at the moment.

But it isn't covered up lol. That's the point. If they did cover it up it wouldn't be an issue, maybe they'll have to do sound dipping if many complain. Ultimately reality TV is a reflection of society and no doubt prejudice and bigotry is as common in America as it is in Britain.

I meant covered up by the producers so the millions that only bother to tune in to the highlights show are oblivious to the racism, homophobia and misogyny inside the house. If it wasn't for this controversy reaching the mainstream press, only the biggest BB fans would know about it all when that shouldn't be the case.

I think the HLs are always going to be heavily censored, maybe because it's on a major channel and most definitely because of the timeslot it is in. There will be all kinds of swearing they won't show, why would you be surprised at that?

I'm not sure The Daily Mail with it's scum reputation is exactly the kind of news source that is best at carrying this kind of story.

I can understand them bleeping/censoring terms like "n*gger" and "queer" but when some of the contestants mention inoffensive words such as "blackness" in an offensive context, I don't see why that can't be shown. My problem is that they don't even bother to show any of the conversations even if they do censor certain words.
