Best peak of the year! With BBC cleverly rejuigging Sunday's schedule so the main final starts at 1.50pm instead of 12.50pm, it'll definately be most watched show of the year so far with 13-15million average.

BBC will be happy that they moved the one show to BBC 2 then.

Patriotic sport, the biggest draw in TV today.

Bigger than BGT, than Downton Abbey, bigger than Jesus!

Absolutely fantastic ratings for the Tennis, didn't expect a peak that high! The bolded bits mean:

a) ~3 million watched the BBC News at Six and Regional News
b) BBC Two more than likely won the slot from 18:00 to 18:30
c) BBC One must have peaked fairly high at 17:55 before the news

Brilliant, brilliant stuff. An average of 8 million through the 19:00 hour and 11 million against Coronation Street - I don't think even the Olympics did that!

I'm not so sure of the average being much higher than last year, but I'd like it to be so just to see your orgasmic response.

I would assume The One Show slumped to an all-time low.

Holy moly, guacamole!

Superb share as well! The final will probably get an astronomical peak.

BGT Final peaked at 17.4m

Great numbers for the tennis though.

That was a typo I think from ITV Media at the time (or a 1 minute peak).

So, predictions for BBC1 all day share? It's going to be huge

These one off sporting events were always going to rate better than those shows (maybe not BGT in 2009 unless it was the Olympics or Euro 2012 ).

If only the five-minute peak was that then. A consolidated 1-minute peak it's been said. I wonder what the share was.

Yes it was, the breakdown was posted on here at the time, and 17.4m was not the five minute peak.

31.8%

They got 24% on Thursday and that's very high.

I didn't say it was a 5 minute peak, I said it was the peak.

Therefore, it is not a like to like comparison. Comparing 5 minute peaks, and the Tennis is on top, as Hassaan's table shows.

Do you speak on behalf of the whole of Newcastle?
