Well done to BBC One last night. Even the 1030 regional news did well, maybe due to the 6.30 bulletin being postponed. Also The Apprentice, which some people have written off, seems to be averaging 6.3 million this series.

At least at 10pm they can shorten the slot, like ITV do with The Americans.”

They manage it with CSI and NCIS at 9pm and they do well for them. US shows have been around the 42 minute mark for years. It's nothing new.

It's a fascinating interview with Frow. Seems keen to take the channel more upmarket. Also on the cusp of commissioning their first original drama for many years.

C4 used to do well with US drama in the 10pm hour so I don't see why C5 can't also. Body of Proof rated very strongly there earlier in the year and that's only a second run show. The likes of CSI might rate slightly worse in terms of numbers but shares will be far higher.

Good ratings for BBC One last night! Shame EastEnders didn't follow Wimbledon, that could have done with a big boost! There's always Friday if Murray is playing second!

A programme that starts with 4.1m, ends with 5m, and wins its peaktime slot should really be on at 10.30 in the morning? You'd make a great scheduler.

It got 400,000 without +1 AND 400,000 with +1 ..... so it sems no-one bothered to watch it on timeshift.

I thought Compare Your Life was delivering shocking figures at 8pm, but this one is even worse. Wonder how low it will go in the weeks ahead....especially if a heatwave really does kick in?

Superb BBC1 performance for a Wednesday when itv had an hour of soap and its bafflingly popular dog show, and bbc1 had no EE. They trounced itv1!

Granted there was a bit of tennis to keep the Home Counties ladies happy after a long lunch and before pony practice...

Do we have anything for the News at Six on BBC Two?

Again, the DS report makes no mention of the live tennis - average or peak. They seem to be restricting themselves to shows at 8pm or later.

To be fair, the "dog show" wasn't POGDOGS - it was actually a very good, well-crafted documentary. It did well, and it deserved to.

That's even more embarrassing. I think after this series Hollywood Me will be no more. Channel 4 are struggling he the 8pm hour it used to be a strength for them.

I also find that strange - the tennis was the ratings story of yesterday.

Corrie was very unlucky that the sun came out just as it started and went in when it ended.

It was pretty much For The Love Of Dogs all in but name, with O'Grady narrating it. Lots of fans of PogDogs on Facebook are demanding that its next series is expanded so it airs year round or 1hr per episode but I think Itv would be wise to keep it just 8 episodes for 30mins in a whole year. Too much wouldn't be a good thing and they shouldn't overwork O'Grady due to his health.

This is ITV we're talking about. They have forced so much out of their various golden gooses in recent years, I'm surprised the RSPCA hasn't intervened!

taking note of siroice elton johns comments about the voice and its lack of creating any big stars at all and mainly focused more on judges egos and publicity than anything else.

is it purly down to the fact Its nothing to do with the coaches and its bbc's polices of not being able to promote it successfully??

why didnt endemol consider the above problem with shows on bbc and realise without promotion no acts will do well??

I imagine one or two US shows will remain at 9pm with the rest at 10pm, things like movies on Sundays will likely remain as well,

dont the semis of mens tennis both start at 2pm with one taking place on centre featuring the highest seed and the second on court 1?? doubt they will mange to get murray tea time antics to boost stale bbc1 again this year until he get thrashed in a final if he makes it that far if.

c watchdog version 2 on wed night pulling in almost identical ratings so why not just have watchdog every wednesday at 8pm or has the investigation into how much bbc1 wastes on anne robinson been postponed?

Oh dear,I've been reading back to some of these rating threads, it seems to me you have a one heck of a BBC compulsive order, do you wake up and go to bed with BBC on your mind?
