I don't have exact timings but match would have been approx 11.05am to 12.50pm.

Incidentally re an earlier post the match almost certainly did outrate the 1st Test as the 1st Test had a far shorter programme intro (due to NZ Test beforehand).”

Unfortunately not, sorry.

Murray wins his 2nd set.

Do the likes of Bargain Hunt and Escape to the Country rate better on Sunday afternoons than the EE omnibus used to?

Hoping Djokovic comes back from 2-0. A 3 set Murray victory won't get the same kind of massive ratings as a 4 or 5 set one. Last years final peaked with 17million at 6.10pm, if this match finishes an hour earlier like it looks like its heading, the peak will be more like 15-16million especially with this weather. COME ON DJOKOVIC, win a set at least!

Bang goes my prediction of a Djokovic 3-1 victory then.

I'm not sure, I'm really not. I don't want to predict a peak. It's going to be high. But how high.

You really are pathetic aren't you. Ratings aren't the be all and end all of life you know.

I'm not a fan of either Murray or Djokovic particularly. As a neutral, what's wrong with hoping for an entertaining 5 set epic? Rather watch that than a straight sets win.

I'm sure you will get the usual stick for this comment but I agree . Just as long as Murray bloody wins the thing.

I suspect almost nobody will be worrying about the impact on TV ratings of a Murray straight sets win.

Incidentally the Lions is miles bigger than the Six Nations though the World Cup would obviously come first.

Lions tours represent most of the key defining moments in British rugby history (after England's World Cup win). The Six Nations is not on that level.

It's hardly a straight sets walkover though is it.

I agree with Brekkie you've really stepped up a gear in these last few months now to raving nutter status.

I couldn't care less about ratings, I just want Murray to win. God Samuel really is sad and pathetic isn't he?

Just looking at the iTunes app chart and the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport apps have both rocketed up. BBC iPlayer was in the 30's just an hour or so ago, now it's number 19 - I don't think it's been that high for a long time.

I reckon the number of people watching on mobile devices may break records today, even surpassing the Olympics. I'm sure the BBC will issue a press release to tell us all about it.

Well it is 77 years (and all those other 7's )

It will be historic which should drag some who would not normally watch to the screen. However there are probably a lot of local galas and festivals going on what is the most glorious of days. Very hard to call as you say.

Most early to mid afternoon England Euro/World cup games match average at around 75%-80% share, so I think Wimbledon could match that sort of area today.

Well, when/if the peak comes in lower than last years 16.9million, we'll have to bear in mind if it was a straight sets win as that can make a difference compared to 4 or 5 sets. There's also the weather too. If it is 3 sets, I predict 12.5million average and 15.8m peak. 4 or 5 sets and maybe approaching 14million average (16.5-18.5million peak).

Sorry to quote myself but - BBC Sport has just lept from 28 to 10, BBC iPlayer has moved from 19 to 17.

Online viewing will be counted by BARB (separately) by the autumn, I think? High on cheap lager and Murraymania, so might be wrong.

I think you're right, but does it include mobiles? And will we get data the following day, or will we have to wait weeks?

Also if you're watching on the BBC Sport site would BARB count that, as it's actually not technically BBC One? Probably not.

Lots of questions, but it can't come soon enough!

Well with it being hot weather today the usual Sunday afternoon filler on ALL the other channels will be even less appealing than it usually is, so the share for Wimbledon should be massive.

Murray serving for the championship - if he completes the job, we won't miss too much of ITV2's "proper" Star Wars Sunday (priorities)
