Incredible peak for Murray, as expected.

I was away from my TV yesterday so ended up watching his victory on a packed train on my mobile using the BBC Sport app. It would be interesting to see how many more would have watched through other mediums.

@TVRatingsUK has relayed that BBC News have reported a peak of 1.9 million in Scotland - a 90% share.
Thank you, and.

90%? Wow.

Any demographics for Wimbledon? I think there's quite a chance the Over 65's were the highest skewing demo.
The peak share for 16-34s was 82.6%

Of the entire population of 16-34s or just those watching TV at the time? in either case though!

Of those watching TV, actually that was at the peak of viewing time - 5:30pm, at other times it went up to 82.8%.

65+'s highest peak was 78.6%

I thought the new series of L&O was 8 episodes long, but it appears to be only 6 episodes. Have the remaining two episodes been moved over into series 8? Does anyone know?

They commission 13 episodes usually so the US can screen it in that format as one long cable run and in the UK tend to show these as one 6 episode run and one 7 episode run.

The opener being promoted is clearly based on a US episode that I recall well.

Not sure why they are still not writing anything original and why no crossovers with the US series (as Dick Wolfe said he was up for that).

That guy from Law and Order: SVU who has been in every TV show on earth (X files etc) playing the same character would relish the chance to further boost his Guiness Record total....and seeing the two ex Corrie star 'cops' together (Bradley Walsh meeting Law and Order and SVU ADA Cutter - Linus Roache) seems surely too good an idea for ITV to miss.

Wonder why they have not bothered?

Wasnt there something recently suggesting Peter Fincham was looking for some new entertainment format as a direct replacement for DOI?
I mean ending DOI does give scope for moving the big hitters if they want to-seems a fairly risky venture replacing DOI with a maybe outwardly grand, but still untested new format.
But do not forget the ending of DOI has now been called into question...with its continuation without Torville and Dean post 2014 being considered as an option apparently. Robin Cousins and Phil Schofield seem to want to go on. Robin Cousins wanted it to be reformatted with the public instead of celebs. ITV seem keener just to maybe tweak it with new skating coaches.

Newcastle was heaving according to my daughter.
Considering the men of Newcastle don't like wearing shirts in winter, I dread to think how little they were wearing yesterday! Or was it cooler up there?

Anyone know what has Channel 5 done with the Neighbours: This Week?

This experiment proved shortlived due to poor ratings. Full Neighbours episodes are available for up to a month after UK broadcast via Demand 5 at www.channel5.com/neighbours.

Superb peak and shares for Wimbledon. It really got the nation together again after the success of the Olympics last year.

Nice to see The Returned holding up nicely - hopefully it can keep staying on the right side of 1m. Big Brother remains solid.

The White Queen is underperforming a bit. ITV didn't have a very good night, though ITV2 and ITV3 did well.

I think the figures for Wimbledon speak for themselves. Brilliant result.

BBC One
22:25 - Today at Wimbledon: 2.97m (21.5%)
* peak: 3.57m (26.8%) at 23:05
Obviously a higher than usual figure anyway but I think that Today at Wimbledon really could get a new lease of life in the post-news BBC1 slot.

From one of the BBC tennis correspondents on twitter:

@piersnewbery
Murray v Djokovic viewed by 17m on BBC1 (highest TV audience of 2013) and 8.5m web browsers (biggest weekend day outside London 2012).
Web figures are always heavily manipulated so don't know how accurate that is or indeed what that figure represents, but it does sound pretty impressive.

Barrowman to host new BBC quiz show, Pressure Pad, which will launch in the autumn

God, I'd thought we'd given him back to America.

It seems to have found its live audience... last 3 weeks in a row its been around 1.10 million. Timeshifts well too.

What does ? 4.5 million for a factual documentary? seems like a great rating to me...

Besides the soap obsessives in the soaps forum, I don't think anyone cares about these announcements. It will no doubt be something minor that could be announced at any time.

There are some other Channel 4 shows that week that got around 2m like 24 Hours In A&E. You left those out.

Even with strong ratings for 10 Stone Testicles, it wasn't enough to fend off Channel 5. Excluding +1 channels, Channel 4 and Channel 5 both tied on 4.1% in the weekly shares. It's only the second time this has happened since records began: the other occasion being w/c 22nd August 2011 and the first full week of Celebrity Big Brother when they couldn't be split on 5.2%. On that occasion C4 added a further 0.9% on +1, whilst C5+1 did not exist. On this more recent occasion (w/c 24th June 2013) C4's advantage with +1s included was somewhat smaller. (4.8% to 4.5%)

Well considering the last "BIG EASTENDERS NEWS AT MIDNIGHT" was the casting of an ex-Hollyoaks actor forgive me if I don't get too excited.

Well, I guess a lot of people wanted to see it due to the shock factor. CH4 wont reach these heights again this year.

Aside from sacking Jay Hunt, have they anything else to fall back on? Do they have money issues?

Its far to early to say that surely.... there's 5 months left in the year.

Indeed it does - great rating at the top but they soon drop. C4 should be having at least one show a night hitting 2m - even 1.5m, and certainly the top ten should be 1.5m+.
