I thought New Tricks was starting in September again? Although I suppose it might start in August to take over the weeknight drama slot once Luther is done.
Wonder what night they'll put it on this time? It is starting to look a bit vulnerable with all the cast changes and could maybe do with a soft slot this time. Sundays against Downton seems unlikely as isn't George Gently back in September? Mondays against Doc Martin would be a stupid idea as well. Could go on Tuesdays where it could get overnights of c8m as it has done in the past when there's been no drama competition. Although that begs the question of where The Paradise and Last Tango will end up as they took Tuesdays last Autumn. Will they both be ready for Autumn or are we looking at early next year? |

BBC, just like itv, look to have a crammed schedule this autumn- all the returning dramas (including possibly sherlock plus a whole bunch of new dramas just this autumn (quirke, what remains, truckers, the escape artist, happy valley and probably more that I've forgotten).

Quite surprised that a fairly minor Coro St episode on Fri 8.30 beat Eastenders' much trailed big exit episode in the consolidated ratings.

"Hazel" was trending number 1 worldwide on Twitter earlier, Big Brother number 1 in the UK.
(For those who don't watch BB, Hazel O'Sullivan (model, darts walk-on girl) has made no secret of what she...er..."needs" at the moment and has focused on fellow housemate Daley). Daley's girlfriend (at time of writing!) Katie has said just her piece on Channel 5's Big Brother Bit On The Side amongst the tears and is "not gonna watch it after today, and I'm not gonna be in the country for much longer, just wanna run away and forget about it, and concentrate on myself and my son". https://twitter.com/KatieCorriette |

Wednesday onwards will be interesting as 7pm is one slot where they have remained very uncompetitive, consistently losing out to C4 News. But that's unlikely to be the case for the duration of the Ashes series. So further growth to be found here perhaps. Could C5 inch in front of C4 in the weekly shares for the first time in its history?

Following MG's scathing article yesterday, now DS is joining in the criticism of the BBC's Wimbledon coverage:

Instead there will be Xmas specials of Citizen Khan and Not Going Out.
I hope Allen has a comedy rabbit to pull out of the hat for December 25th. |

The London Anniversary Games will air on Friday 26th July, beginning on BBC2 for an hour at 7.30pm then switching to BBC1 from 8.30-10pm. BBC1 really should have ditched EastEnders for the night and made a bigger deal of it on BBC1.
