The words "Robson Green's" put me and millions of others off.
Had it been "Stuart Maconie's" or "Paul Morley's" then it would have been a far more attractive proposition.
And I speak as a northerner.
But this is ITV not BBC4. If ITV did a documentary about the cultural influences of Liverpool they'd ask Keith Chegwin to present it.

I don't disagree with any of that. But we can overanalyse things. Citizen Khan is funny and reasonably popular. Successful programmes get asked to do Christmas specials. So it is with Citizen Khan.
