Not a bad share for Emmers though, nor for EE which is back over 35%. The soaps are proving pretty resilient on this measure, as they do have their diehards.

ED is better than EE lately. The question is what percentage of these are habit viewers?
EE continues to recycle story lines- Sharon is back (again) and looking for accommodation by dropping hints to Phil (again);Steve and his son have yet another heart-to-heart (they can't have much more to say to each other).There was an ambiguous reference to the possibility of Andy Murray winning Wimbledon (why didn't they tape a new sequence on Monday, it was only a minute or so).They really do need some new storyliners and script editors.

I tried watching it a few times.....it ties with The Valleys as the worst reality tv shows ever created.

Glad Geordie Shore wasn't too detrimental to BB. In terms of quality, BB is a much better programme.
By the way, I've seen Time shift being said quite a bit in here - what does it mean?

The between sets analysis you mention was done this year, I remember watching on a few occasions them showing where players were hitting the balls, where they were hitting serves etc and going through all the stats after each set so they haven't ditched them.

Not sure what else they can show really. I can only presume they are banking on the big Doctor Who episode and Eastenders. Can't see what big sitcom they will show on the night apart from MBB.

put "very" simply...there are two main statistics: overnights (people watching a show before 2am) and officials (people watching a show within 7 days of transmission).
Timeshift is the difference between the two.

well, not quite, timeshift is the difference between the published audience (after 7 days) and the live audience (those that watched the programme live). Overnights include people who have recorded and watched back later that same day so overnights include a rather significant amount of timeshirt already.

I'm a fan of both, but BB comes first obviously. I always record Geordie Shore and find is very entertaining.
And yes, time shifts can make quite a difference. GS for example goes from 500k to over a million because a lot of people record it or Sky+ it. BB has currently been averaging 1.4m overnight and around 1.8m+ on time shift.
Shows such as Doctor Who and many dramas time shift a lot. Over 1m many times.

I enjoyed the Robson Green programme - it just seemed a bit off-brand for ITV. Felt more like BBC4 territory.

i know, but i wanted to keep it in terms of its use in this forum, so because we rarely get the true "live" stats, the term "timeshift" has, here, to be taken as "officials minus overnights"...

I prefer (but sometimes forget) to say "consolidate". Timeshift should refer to sweeping up anyone who didn't watch live, whether in the overnights or officials.
