You guys can watch the housemates live nightly from tomorrow between 11:30pm and 2:00am on www.channel5.com, the Big Brother iPhone and iPad app, and on the Big Brother Facebook app. Live streaming will commence at midnight during evenings when Big Brother’s Bit On The Side is simulcast at 11:00pm.
See you there!”

This should have been from the start but why always iPhone and iPad app and never Android with these being much more popular now

The share is still rather good. How warm was it yesterday?

It was warm yesterday sure (although less warm than recent days), but 5.50m is an appalling rating even by its recent heatwave standards.

2.3m (2.5m inc +1).

Deservedly so, for a documentary that offered absolutely nothing new.

Awful night for C4, which recorded a 4.2% peaktime share - compared to 5.1% for Channel 5.

Time for Jay Hunt to go.

On top of that, is there money issues with Channel 4? I noticed looking at the Freeview TV guide they are repeating the same series of The Simpsons from the start again!!! It was only shown four weeks aho! What is with this channel?!?!

CH4 just don't have much of anything special for their evening line-up.

It has a "daytime" vibe to it, samey and unsurprising.

I wished they'd repeat one of the earlier series for a change.

Ironically, given that Hewer and Mountford are both a pair of metropolitan Guardian reading lefties!

I'm sure if an ITV social affairs documentary had got a 4.6m overnight in a height of summer ratings nadir heatwave, we'd never hear the end of it....

1.26m (6.7%) / 1.66m (8.8%) for the series finale of The Big Bang Theory, and 934k (5.3%) / 1.14m (6.3%) for the series finale of How I Met Your Mother.

The Apprentice: Why I Fired Them: 1.77m (15.2%)

Had ITV got that rating, you'd have said the same thing as i did. Downplay the rival channel.

Bad start for Itv's 6-part documentary series Married to the Job, only 2.7million. Beaten by BBC1's Great British Budget Menu which got 3.66m (19.6%) .

Terrible figures, but the one that stands out there is Channel 4 News. I'm sure it was getting 800k-1m not so long ago. I don't watch but does anyone know if there has been a decline in editorial standards? It's quite worrying. Also, does anyone have the figures for Channel 5 News as comparison? It would be somewhat ironic if they've moved up to third place now Emma Crosby is behind a desk, something Channel 5 never intended to do with their news.

It puts into perspective how well For The Love of Dogs was performing.

Just puts into perspective how well Paul O' Grady's dogs did in that slot - often above 5million with +1.

Just ignore - it's a classic case of pot, kettle, black syndrome.

Anyone got the Big Brother figs for last night? Not even going to mention EastEnders losing to Emmerdale again with no clash... oh, I just did... May as well re-post the figures on this new page...

Shocking night for channel 4...

Nick and Margeret did ALOT better then I thought...great show...

Poor rating for "The Incredible Hulk Woman" .. but with a name like that, what would you expect?

In other news, Sophie from Geordie Shore has been fired for using racist language... she was caught saying "I hate ni**ers" on camera :O

Wonder if it will give a boost/dent the ratings

Expect everything this weekend to be down - it's looking to hit 33C in some parts of the country.
