There will be a murder eventually on a UK reality show at this rate. It's going to happen.

Not saying it'll be anything like that but 1.8-2.0m is possible. Just for the curiosity factor. BoTS could nudge 1m, or at least peak with it.”

I think the main show will go down to 1.5 tonight.... BBBOTS will go down aswell but it will still rate higher then usual because of the Daley interview

Although of course if it did the show in question would almost certainly be cancelled, and at the very least that incident wouldn't be aired..

I think that's the whole point of the BBC actually, they don't need to worry about ratings all the time.Current affairs on ITV is now almost non-existent.

So without +1 ... Eastenders was just 0.17m viewers ahead. Hardly a clear victory considering Corrie is 1.6m ahead despite straddling EastEnders either side and with no clashing to speak of...

And Emmerdale beat it in share.

Honestly, glossing over these issues will do EastEnders no good. You can't turn a blind eye to this performance, unless you want it to be axed? ”

Um I never said it was a clear victory. I was just pointing out that your post wasn't correct. I have no idea what your on about with the last part of your post. I mean if I said that figure for EE was fantastic then you would have a point but I never. Plus you also have to take the weather into consideration as even Corri was down last night as it normally rates above 8mil on Mondays. However the share for it was good.

Why do people keep saying this? Correct me if I'm wrong but this isn't a multi series show. As I understand it it's just one series, amalgamating three Philippa Gregory "Cousins' War" novels.

Playing at being a little Lord Sugar I think! Its part of this culture of excessive nastiness about failure. People in UK like to gloat over failures and like nothing better than to harp on about something that failed maybe 10 or 15 years ago. This thread is full of it.

Failure (or even mediocre ratings as in this case - its not exactly a disaster at 4m) is the price of taking risks.

Very well and articulately put. I agree.

I was going to agree with GeorgeS as well - BUT I just could not do it.

I see Channel 4 are screening the Lyon 2013 Paralympics event next week on... More4 from 14:15 to 19:20. Would have been the perfect opportunity to rest their usual line-up for a week.

Says a lot about the channel now doesn't it. Damaged and worried and now feels it has no room to take risks which was what C4 did every day when it was launched.

Because airing a subtitled french thriller in primetime isn't a risk?

Talking of Lord Sugar (who would be George's hero if ITV had snaffled the rights to TA, and if he didn't take shots at the dire ratings for Piers' Sob Stories), which BSI numpty has put the Final out AN HOUR EARLY tomorrow?!!!

I watched last week's last night and they only announced it after the "next week" preview which everyone turns over. How will people know?

Millions are going to tune in for You're Hired!

Viz a viz Law and Order UK (I am one slipper wearing 60+ female who appreciates it BTW!) Does anyone know how they will factor in those viewers who paid £1.29 (was it?) to watch the episode in the previous 7 days on demand? Are they treated the same as if watched on demand afterwards?

The second part of this two parter is also being sold on demand by ITV all this week.

Doubt it will have a huge impact on ratings, but some.

People have EPG's you know.

They have surely advertised the final throughout the week, and of course, said clearly BBC One, Wednesday at 8.

Plus ads on BBC radio which reaches over 35 million people a week.

They didn't bring in the ratings for England's summer tour on BBC Two. England's plastic fans only turn out for the Six Nations and the World Cup.

New New Tricks is currently down for Tuesday 30th at 9pm.

Death in Paradise repeat on Monday 29th at 9pm.

Might change, though, as the new series of Tricks begins with a two-parter, so it could get consecutive nights.

I forgot to comment on how well LLF did. That is a brilliant rating for a show on ITV, especially in the summer in this weather.

I concur with everyone else about Long Lost Family - that's a fantastic figure. I wouldn't be surprised if ITV extended the episode order slightly for the next series.

Run did OK, but I was expecting it to do a little better than that seeing as Olivia Colman was starring in the first episode. I was expecting it to be closer to 2m. I have a feeling the ratings will fall over the next couple of nights.

I watched Run and thought it was a brilliant drama.... however i'm not sure if Olivia Coleman really fits the role..

I think it will definitely slide over the next 3 episodes which is a shame..

I've said it before, but it should have been 1 a week
