Loved how Lord Sugar reminded him that anyone else would be an employee

The clip on the spin off show, where the the experts expose the bull-shine, showed the real hard-nosed one saying ... " You're a parasite, this interview is over"

Was he speaking to Jordan do you think ? .... who, it appears, is on the show to sell someone else's business plan ?

The parasite line could as easily apply to Neil's estate agency aggregation service, and that is without knowing what the women are offering.

Jordan's proposal has two fatal flaws. The first is the idea of making programming easy for non-programmers has been around for decades: no-one has cracked it; and thousands of people a lot smarter than Jordan have tried.

The other is simply this: what does Jordan bring to the table? If his mate is developing it, and Lord Sugar is paying for it, then why does either of them need Jordan?

Jordan, therefore, cannot win.

My sentiments exactly.

Re, the BIB, I agree.
The only difference is that with the mobile phone app' market today, perhaps there's more of a place for a sort of mini-market for 50p app's similar to the way Kindle allows authors to self-publish books?

Only thing there is that his software developer is going to have to be a f**king genius in order to produce, potentially, thousands of unique app's with their own identities rather than just ending up with a "production line" of almost-identical products which are obviously designed by the same person.

Plus Jordan himself has proven himself to be unlikeable and someone who Sugar clearly doesn't see eye to eye with. That, as much as his business idea or his now-revealed associate, will doom him - Sugar won't partner up with someone he doesn't like.

It was all a bit odd. With all his talk about discussing percentages, did Jordan think he was on Dragons' Den?!?

He'll be destroyed in the interview. I can't wait till next week. I think the parasite line was for Jordan. How can you go into the Apprentice when the business idea is not totally yours?

Can't stand all these little annoying things he does in the boardroom, from "whooping" with delight, to nearly choking last night.

Plus why wasn't it mentioned about his 4-5 hours he took to buy some bloody candles, he lost that task for the guys in my opinion, he was lucky not to get fired.

I dont understand what the complaint of parasite is. If he is using someone else who cant get funding and he can, by surviving the apprentice 'trials' whats wrong with that.

We don't know its aimed at him, it's all speculation at the moment. But after last night in the Boardroom where he said he actually already has a partner, it came across as if he just "latches on to people"

I thought Jordan's partner was Luisa!

“ This week it was revealed that she ended her six-month romance with co-star boyfriend Jordan Poulton days after the show returned to TV screens.”

Didn't last long. I guess she won't be sharing any profits from his new business venture.

Watching last night, I don't think either Jordan or Neil had plans that would particularly appeal to Alan Sugar.
I think Jordan's interviews next week will be quite something to behold! I also think Neil will be one of the few candidates who doesn't get flustered at the interview stage - I don't like him tbh, but I think LAS does, and maybe if he doesn't win, Sugar will offer him some other kind of backing?
At the moment, I've a hunch Leah might be the surprise winner - I've no idea why, it's just a feeling I've got; that she's got this far for a reason.

Didn't we see a clip last night of Neil Standing up to Claude?

It really wouldn't surprise me. I think Neil has that supreme self confidence that just wouldn't allow him to feel inferior to anyone or browbeaten by them.

Leah has got this far because she has only twice been in the final boardroom: once when Zee was fired, and Natalie would have been next at-risk; once when Alex was fired, and Myles would probably have been next choice.

Leah is a good candidate: numerate, articulate and with a good business brain. Much of the criticism of her has revolved around her harsh Northern Ireland accent.

The main obstacle to Leah winning might be her unwillingness to sacrifice her medical career for business. Lord Sugar does not want to run the company for her while Leah is up to her armpits in some unfortunate patient's abdomen.

Not sure thats true, her main criticism was in the Dubai task she basically sulked and screwed up the task, nothing to do with her accent.

Was there not a bit where the Dubai man she was asking about something on the phone simply could not understand her?

I suspect that
Spoiler
it may well be Leah or Francessca now I think about it since on the episode blurb it says
Quote:
“In an emotional boardroom, Lord Sugar receives some surprising news, and someone feels the full force of his fury, before a shock exit leaves everyone open-mouthed.”

I think she's good, but I don't think it's her accent that's the problem, more just her people skills. She comes across as quite cold and mechanical and has generally struggled when it comes to communicating with clients and sales so far. She's not, that's obvious to everyone that watches week in week out, she just struggles in those situations. I think she's a much better candidate than both Francesca and Luisa though.

Jordan would have got thrown out of Dragon's Den for pitching a business idea where there is an existing partner with a shareholding already in place.
All I could hear in my head during this week's boardroom mauling of Jordan by Lord Sugar, was Duncan Bannatynes voice going "Aaahhhhmmmm Owwwwt!!"

As for Leah - If her business is cosmetic surgery/ dermal fillers - as has been rumoured on other threads - then Sugar won't touch it with a bargepole.

PIP implants - latest scandals about fillers - he would be mad to go near it.

Rather like the call centre / cold calling plan last year. NO way !!

On YF they showed clips from next week's main show and one of the interviewers (not Claude or Margaret) who was interviewing Leah pointed at his face and asked 'what would you do with this?' . This seems to imply Leah's BP is cosmetic surgery.
Next week's interview look brutal. Can't wait!

The way I read it he's got a mate who codes apps but they both lack the imagination to actually come up with decent ideas.

What he plans to to is sell his mates services to people who do have the ideas - so he's a total leech.

I hope it is him that Claude eats alive

I wonder if his affair with Louisa will come out in the interviews? or had it not started by then?

The spoiler below is just speculation, so not really a spoiler, but it related to something that is in a spoiler so I thought I'd keep it under wraps for those who don't want to see it.

Spoiler
If 'a shock exit leaves everyone open-mouthed' does that mean someone will do a Katie Hopkins and leave voluntarily?

”

also speculation... unrealistic too (mine, I mean, not GM's)

Spoiler
Maybe. But it would be good if it were entirely counter-Hopkins in spirit. Jordan spoke with some asperity when Sugar dismissed the techie friend as 'your problem'. I'd like to see Jordan walk if the process is going to diminish or demean anyone's work, or cut them out. The guy has been supportive of others in quiet ways throughout the run, so maybe he would do that. Would cheer me up no end to see it.

Not necessarily, because on Dragons Den he could have brought along the existing partner, which if he had done then he would have been fine. Of course had he been on his own as he was in the boardroom he would have of course been mauled by the dragons and possibly worse than what Lord Sugar gave him.

The Dragons get upset when there is already some equity sold ie there is another investor rather than upfront partner - especially if that other investor got a better 'deal' than the Dragons are being offered
