How does the final work this year?

Can somebody please explain this to me.
So the interviews will be held on the semi final, and there are five candidates going in, not four. Three go out, leaving just two in the final. Then what? Are we supposed to sit through an hour of boardroom discussion about who will be the winner?
THANK YOU

Your guess is as good as mine ... the winner will no doubt already have been selected.

5 in the interviews with 2 going through to final was same format as last year wasn't it?

The final usually has a task with returning contestants forming the teams.

The usual format is that all but two candidates are fired after the interviews. The final two are the project managers in the final task, aided and abetted by all the fired candidates of this series. This is recorded a goodly six months ago, but the final decision is actually not revealed until the day before the final is transmitted; not even the finalists know.

Which means the final is always structured in such a way that Shuggs can pick whichever he wants to win, six months after the fact

I'm pretty sure last year four people went into the interviews, then all of them went into the boardroom and shuggs fired two then hired the winner. Same the year before when Tom won. I specifically remember the semifinal that year with Tom and Helen against Jedi Jim, Susan Ma and someone else, when they had to set up a fast food restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't recall in detail the year before that......

So I assume the final decision will be filmed (along with You're Fired) a few days before the transmission of the show?

I think they film both possible endings when they film the last boardroom.

They do. It would be too difficult to film a boardroom months later and pretend it was on the same day, as the candidates would presumably look a little different - have shorter/longer hair or something.
