Ellie Goulding's version is far superior.

The versions are very similar. I think it's a real shame Leona's management passed that song over. What were they thinking?

Probably the same thing when they passed on Impossible by Shontelle, We Found Love by Rihanna, Got To Love You by Sean Paul ft Alexis Jordan and Blank Page by Christina Aguilera.

They clearly don't recognise hit songs.

They need firing. Leona needs people who know what good songs are.

Luckily she got rid of Modest Management a few months ago, so she does have new management, we just don't know who, though Music Week said she was looking for an American team this time.

Hopefully they will make a difference, though Syco are probably the ones who make the single and album tracklist decisions.

Leona's version is just on another level to Ellie's. I do like Ellie's version but the song suits Leona better.

But surely Leona must have some input in deciding which songs make it on the album and which doesn't? If she really wanted those songs I'm pretty sure she could have spoken up about it...

A competent A&R team (something she lacks) would step in and convince her that she needs these songs on her album. The label have the overall decision at the end of it all, they should have stepped in a guided her. Or albeit, forced her to accept the songs. Even someone like Lady Gaga has to compromise when it comes to songs, sometimes no amount of speaking up can help.

Of course she has a choice, she wouldn't commit to We Found Love because she wanted Trouble as the lead and Calvin didn't want to wait, this is where her label should have stepped in and said something. Trouble is a good song but not lead single material and her label should have realised that.

Leona's version hands down, and I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan. Ellie's voice is too sweet and cute to compete with Leona's version. Leona's version is edgier and sounds "cooler" and her powerful voice and tone suits the song much more than Ellie's.

No wonder Leona's fading into darkness when she gives away hits like these. For god sake, this and Glassheart would've brought Leona back into the modern times.

The label can't be blamed for the fact that Leona doesn't seem to have an ear for obvious hits. Artists fight for songs they recognise as hits and their A&R make things happen. There's no A&R on this planet that wouldn't recognise WFL as a hit and you cannot force an artist to release something they don't like....it just creates a bad atmosphere.

Have to agree, I can't believe how her career has nose dived. But it happened with Echo as well, some really good songs were left off the album and they went with Happy as the lead single.

She only has herself to blame I feel.
