I would say that there'd be questions raised over the expense of the Over 60s trip. Although cheaper than the Family trip, the disposable income that comes in, most likely from pensions, would be significantly less.
I would also argue that looking at current trends for Over 60s, they prefer simple holidays such as caravanning around the South of France, or across Europe. Close enough to home and a lot more 'personal' perhaps. |

Alex felt that the price was way out of the comfort zone of the travelers, as well as the fact that when it's compared to other bargain packages this one wouldn't be very appealing.
There were also concerns raised that your advertising plan for the over-60s wasn't very sensible as, while there are older people that use the internet, it shouldn't be the main source of advertising. |

On the family holiday side of things, the price was the main concern. However, Bethany felt a few of the activities, the Darwin tour in particular, wasn't suitable for children.

The most disappointing thing is that no one seems to know much about anyone elses pitch. You may have been pitching separately but this was a team task. And that goes for both teams.
Tyjet, who will you be bringing back and why? |

Because their pitch yielded the fewest orders (& also because one of them has done nothing), I'm going to be bringing back Justin & Jason.

I'd also like to quickly mention before I leave the boardroom... I touched upon it on my evaluation form but...
I do feel like Tyjet made a lot of decisions and wouldn't change his mind, even if it was better for the team. I expressed feeling uncomfortable having to pitch to somebody who openly hates me and whilst I don't doubt Anactoria would be professional enough to not take personal opinions into account, as seems to be true with her orders for the package deal. I do feel like it may have harmed my pitch as I did feel pretty uncomfortable, like I was potentially walking on eggshells and I was worried the interrogation was going to be really intensive. (Which, it was, but I feel like all the questions were actually appropriate.) Good luck, team! |

@ Carlisle: you make it sound like you begged me to change my mind. You didn't. You expressed discomfort & after I assured you that she'd put her personal feelings for you aside, you dropped it. If it was that much of an issue then you shouldn't have rolled over so easily. And as it happens, it wasn't an issue at all because she ended up ordering more than Alex & Aliyah. Quote:

As for why I don't deserve to be fired, I think I'm easily one of the strongest people in this competition. This was not my strongest task (& I'll be the first to admit that), but I was far from bad. I'm a very intelligent individual and I know how to do DSA and do it well. I also know that if I had a more respondent and present team then this task would have gone much better for us across the board, and then perhaps the pricing would have been less confusing. |

Tyjet, I do believe you're a strong candidate. However, we believe the fact you already knows this hinders the amount of effort you put into each task. I, personally, haven't seen enough of you as of yet. Jason, your lack of contribution to this task is very worrying. I question whether you have any interest in this process at all. However, you have performed well on recent tasks - do we risk keeping you in this competition? Justin. It would appear, despite your pitch having the lowest number of orders overall, that you have performed very well on this task. You're safe this week. Tyjet and Jason... |

After sending me a very viciously worded message about "making you look stupid," we both agreed, privately, that we were going to put bad blood behind us for tasks moving forward, a statement which you, quite frankly, lied about yourself. Since, apparently, you're not able or willing to do that, and since you're so good at hyperanalyzing every last line of text, I'd love to hear how you read this: Please don't let your views of my personality or my work ethic distract from the fact that I'm serious about this competition. I don't spend every ten seconds saying you should get fired because I don't like you - which, believe me, I don't - and even went as far as to commend your work on the first task I worked with you, and still didn't think you should have been fired on the second task I worked with you on because there were more deserving people. Did I contradict myself anywhere here? |
