I am interested in knowing from the informed crew here about decent media streamers. Is this one any good? Any other recommendations please? Thanks in advance.

Hi there

I own the Mede8er MED1000X3D and all I can say is - ITS BRILLIANT !! Plays everything I throw at it. Great support via its online forums as well, and constant development.

Just bare in mind, it does not have catchup TV features such as iPlayer etc.

Available from

A good place to do your research is here =

And everything really depends on what you want/need - So my advice it do your research.

Cheers

I use a WD TV Live (http://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-TV-Live-M.../dp/B005NYOKC2) but i'm currently messing with XBMC on a Raspberry PI works really well but requires a little set up time which you may not want to bother with.. but just incase, start here: http://www.raspbmc.com/

I have used lots of different media streamers, so let me know if you have any other questions.

Mike

i have a LT Roku, which has things like Netflix, BBCi player and various other channels, I also have a Netgear EVA8000 which plays any format I throw at it (only downside is windows 7 isn't supported) so I stream lots to it using a windows vista machine.

WDTV Live, best streamer I have ever used. Its simple and quick and has catch up services and there is nothing it won't play (so far)

Thanks. Given your respective contributions I might have to consider alternatives to the Pansonic I was going to go with!

Any particular model you favour? (do not reply "Kate Moss"!)

Wdtv live for me although won't play wmv files but apart from that really nice device, I just wish I could view different camera options on it.
