Media streamers
I am interested in knowing from the informed crew here about decent media streamers. Is this one any good? Any other recommendations please? Thanks in advance.

Hi there
I own the Mede8er MED1000X3D and all I can say is - ITS BRILLIANT !! Plays everything I throw at it. Great support via its online forums as well, and constant development. Just bare in mind, it does not have catchup TV features such as iPlayer etc. http://www.mede8er.com/ Available from http://www.my-htpc.co.uk A good place to do your research is here = http://www.avforums.com/forums/strea...media-players/ And everything really depends on what you want/need - So my advice it do your research. Cheers |

I use a WD TV Live (http://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-TV-Live-M.../dp/B005NYOKC2) but i'm currently messing with XBMC on a Raspberry PI works really well but requires a little set up time which you may not want to bother with.. but just incase, start here: http://www.raspbmc.com/
I have used lots of different media streamers, so let me know if you have any other questions. Mike |

i have a LT Roku, which has things like Netflix, BBCi player and various other channels, I also have a Netgear EVA8000 which plays any format I throw at it (only downside is windows 7 isn't supported) so I stream lots to it using a windows vista machine.

WDTV Live, best streamer I have ever used. Its simple and quick and has catch up services and there is nothing it won't play (so far)

Thanks. Given your respective contributions I might have to consider alternatives to the Pansonic I was going to go with!

Wdtv live for me although won't play wmv files but apart from that really nice device, I just wish I could view different camera options on it.
