I know this is not a new thing as I have heard of people dropping their school kids off in the pyjamas, I saw a woman today in my local supermarket with a bunch of kids and she was wearing pyjamas

I saw someone shopping in a supermarket in their pyjamas. So I just went up and vomited on her in outrage. It was all she deserved.

a cute fashion I think, as often they're prettier than day clothes and the fabric can have a lovely quality.

I wear tops which are actually supposed to be pyjama tops but I don't think people can tell - I chose them for day wear because they've got cute patterns and lace trim.

Chav scum who simply cannot be arsed getting showered and dressed to nip to the shops. Unacceptable

It doesn't bother me as I don't care what others wear... I'd do it myself on occasion if I wasn't worried about what people thought.

Basic standards - anyone wearing pyjamas whilst shopping clearly have none (despite what lefty posters may say)

I wear nothing in bed and regularly walk around Tesco in the all together. And nobody ever stopped me. Ok, there was once a regrettable misunderstanding at the salami counter, but that was as much her fault as mine.

I had read about this happening, but had never seen it until yesterday.

I was in Tesco's and saw two women in onesies and another in pyjamas. They weren't together so hadn't dared each other to do it or something. It was early afternoon and I must admit, I was quite surprised about it, especially to see three of them, when I hadn't seen any before.

isn't it just a fashion these days though?

Like in the 80s, there was a fashion for tousled-looking, messy-looking hair? I think the idea was it looked sexy but, it actually took a lot of work to get it like that.

A bit different I think if someone is wearing pjs but they have beautifully styled hair, make up and accessories, (and are obviously clean), like the teenage girls I saw walking their dog last week.

No, sorry. This is laziness, young people sitting around in pyjamas and Ugg boots, nipping t' shops or McDonalds and generally sloth-like lazing behaviour, Dolls x

I see, so not like dressing up fashion pjs? Like, not actually getting out of your real nightwear pjs?

I can't say it bothers me personally. Especially if it's close to home or to a chemist. I would tend to wonder if the person is ill and had serious problems with energy levels or something.

A few years ago a lady in NZ went to the supermarket in slippers. It made that nights news on tv. Serious.

I remember seeing this in Liverpool. Girls out shopping in what looked like pyjamas/onsies with their hair in curlers in preparation for a night out.
No-one else seemed to bat an eyelid at them as though this was quite normal behaviour.

Dropping people off in the car doesn't bother me. Actually walking around a supermarket in PJ's..... Ugh.
