European industry players offer support for UHDTV logo

European broadcasters, consumer and professional electronics manufacturers, satellite operators and national HD Forums have agreed a series of measures to further the development of ultra-high-definition TV in Europe.

The European Broadcasting Union hosted a meeting of interested parties in Geneva last week under the aegis of the Forum for Advanced Media in Europe (FAME), which agreed, among other things, to collaborate on a common logo for UHDTV display devices and closer engagement with the European Commission on related matters.

I suppose once again we will have the confusion of UHDTV ready, full UHDTV, and Freeview UHDTV.

There will be the confusion the any acquired UHD having greater bit depth frame rate at least than any screen on sale today .....
And there are other parameters .......

But is there a place for UHD 1 broadcasting?...
UHD 2 seems far more likely ... In 10 years tie
Wih UHD 1 being used for acquitision definately .... it is now
and some displays ....
