Hi all,

I have a Technika 22" LCD. At the moment it is just connected to my PC via HDMI into the DVI socket on the PC using an adapter.

The LCD has been working fine without any problems for at least a year when it was connected to another PC using a VGA cable, to my XBOX (HDMI) and Sky (RF).

Since being connected to the PC over HDMI / DVI it has developed a very annoying problem - at random intervals whilst using the PC the LCD is automatically switching sources from the HDMI to its built-in DVD player.

Any ideas on what might be causing this problem and if it's possible to fix?

Many thanks.

Sounds like the TV's software is corrupted and a factory reset should resolve it.

Many thanks for your reply.

Have tried a couple of times restoring the factory settings but this unfortunately hasn't resolved the problem.

The fault appears to be very random. Yesterday it hardly happened at all until late evening when it happened a handful of times, but today it is has just happened about six times in a couple of minutes.

Could it be caused by the PC? The cabling is slightly different to the norm in that I use an HDMI to DVI adapter. Also, I think my display resolution is slightly higher than the reported maximum in the LCD's manual.

The reported maximum resolution is 1680x1050 but I am running 1920x1080 because this appears better. Could this be the problem?

My display adapter is an NVIDIA GeForce 6700 XL.

The only other thing that comes to mind is a new wireless keyboard and mouse with the mouse being optical - infrared?

Thanks again.
