EPISODE TEN 48/50:

Dan puts his hood up as he leaves the phone box hoping he doesn’t bump into any familiar faces. The community centre is bustling with parents dropping their kids at nursery and he can hear Phil shouting at Dexter who’s late for work. Sadie is talking to a bearded man who’s asking for directions to the ‘Shirley Gutter’. Seeing IanMandy heading to Scarlett’s, he turns left towards the high street.

Zack has mixed emotions about Toni returning to the Square afraid he’ll let her down again. He walks slowly back to the flat as he gathers his thoughts.

Klen sits on Arthur’s bench not knowing which way to turn. He tries to think where she’d go as Dot tries to get in contact with Poppy’s mother and sister to see if they’ve heard from her. Klen continues to stop passer-by’s who know her.

Vaslav asks to be dropped in Albert Square unable to face his lonely abode. He knocks on Scrabbler’s door but Skye tells him that he went to the doctors before work. Vaslav waves off the woman thanking her for all her help. Klen asks him if he’s seen Poppy, vas apologises saying his sight isn’t 100% right now. *pointing at his bruised eye. He notices Scrabbler leaving the doctor’s surgery and makes his way over.

Zack sits down beside mona on the sofa. Still receiving the silent treatment, Zack tries to break the ice by asking how her ankle is. She reluctantly begins to talk. Zack tells her that they’re going to have to come to some kind of arrangement if they’re going to continue living together. Mona cries that she doesn’t want to go back to living with her sister, “You don’t know what it’s like to be a burden…….. feel invisible. I like it here.” Zack says that she’s going to have to start pulling her weight then, “If you act like a child, you’ll get treated like one!” failing to mention that Toni will be back next week. **someone knocks on the door**

Also tonight, Ilovenicnacs continues to reject F1Ken’s calls. Sorcha and Maurice return happy with the day’s shopping, sorcha puts her feet up after a long day and they both look in awe at each other as the baby kicks ahead of their scan tomorrow. Los.kav does some research about opening his own homeless shelter eyeing up Cora’s old Charity Shop as a possible residence. Mo Mouse locks himself in his room when Kim demands the rent money.

Zack gets the door and is surprised to see it’s Shirley. Mona is gobsmacked and begins to fix her hair as she hears her voice at the door. Zack leaves them to it but is curious when he sees Lauren nervously debating whether to enter the doctor’s surgery or not. Thinking she’s back on the drink, he approaches her. Klendathu is beginning to give up hope as no one as seen or heard from Poppy and he begins to think the worst.

Bevis is startled when Officer benbenalen asks him to come down the station for some questioning. Tracey is pi$$ed off that she has another stall to look after. Gary is outside the café and sees Bevis leaving with the police officer. Gary rings his private investigator but gets voicemail. Seeing his brother pushing Scarlett he calls him over. Dullag goes over to him not wanting to cause another scene. Gary tells him that he thinks someone has been arrested in connection with the case but he’s running out of money, “I need you to ask that rich b!tch you’re living with for some cash.” Dullag continues to walk, Gary runs up behind him whispering that he wouldn’t like him to tell Janine some things from his past, would he? Dullag continues to wheel Scarlett through the Square gardens, Gary heads back to the café.

Vaslav inquires why Scrabbler was at the doctors but he tells him to mind his own. Scrabbler asks who he was fighting with. Vaslav tells him it’s a long story and they head over to Scrabbler’s for a cuppa. Scrabbler gives dullag a guilty look as he sees him take Scarlett’s pram over the threshold.

Lauren laughs off Zack’s suggestion that she’s drinking again telling him she found Poppy on her back doorstep this morning shivering and doesn’t know what to do, “She won’t eat anythin and keeps frowin up!” Zack and Lauren enter the house. Klen goes over to Dot who wants to call the police but klen thinks they should wait a little while longer.

Mona asks Shirley what’s wrong. Shirley laughs saying that she heard she had rolled her ankle and wanted to check she was ok. Shirley is alarmed when she starts shaking and clutching her chest but she assures Shirl that she’s ok, “I can’t believe it. Sorry, it’s just a bit overwhelming.” Shirley says that Zack texted her to say that she wouldn’t be in today including the reason and they weren’t busy so thought she’d call round. **mona grins like a Cheshire cat** Mona spits out her drink when Shirl asks if she stood on the vibrator, then her phone rings. Shirl says she has to go there’s someone at the pub looking for her…

Scrabbler tells vaslav he should go to A&E when he sees his cuts and bruises. Vaslav brushes off his concerns saying he’s fine, just a bit sore. Scrabbler inquires whether it has anything to do with his tormentor. Vaslav tries not to weep as he opens up about his ordeal. Scrabbler proceeds to tend to the wounds himself saying he wasn’t going in to work today anyway, he’s left AngelicPrincess in charge. Vaslav tells him that he tried to get in touch but he didn’t answer. Scrabbler apologies saying he was having a bad day. He is unable to believe the story and urges vaslav to report Bomani to the police.

Zack is taken aback by the sight of Poppy wrapped up in a blanket on the Brannings’ sofa and says they need to call an ambulance. A weak Poppy then throws up on the floor. Zack lambasts Lauren for not doing something sooner asking has she not learned from los.kav and Toni, “One day it’ll go too far and someone will die from your stupidity and selfishness.” Lauren doesn’t stand for it saying that it wasn’t her fault that los.kav lied to her and Toni couldn’t handle her rejection. Lauren then slaps him when he brings up her mum and how she kept her cancer a secret too. They are brought back down to earth when Poppy gasps for a glass of water.

Bevis gulps as he hears that they want to question him about the disappearance of Emily. Back on the Square, Dan arrives back and feigns surprise when Tracey tells him Bevis has been arrested. Gary gives him a knowing look but dan smirks as he goes back to the house beginning to enjoy the thrill of not getting caught.

Shirley is shocked to see her brother Mick at the ‘Shirley Gutter’ with a suitcase. Meanwhile, Zack texts klen when the ambulance arrives letting him know that he’s found Poppy. Klen rushes over, Dot not far behind. All he can do is watch as she’s taken away on a stretcher.

Duff duff: Klen watches with tear-filled eyes as the ambulance leaves the Square.

EPISODE ELEVEN 49/50:

Klendathu is in a daze after spending the night at the hospital. Lauren hugs her grandma Dot urging her to come home with her for some kip but she won’t budge until she hears word on Poppy’s condition.

Bevis asks for his solicitor, RedHood, to be present before they begin interrogating. Officer benbenalen sighs agreeing to call him straight away.

The doctors approach Klendathu and Dot but it’s not good news. Poppy’s organs are struggling to function. They’ve put her on a drip and are feeding her though a stomach tube. The doctors ask how long it’s been going on, klen says it’s been ongoing since her teens.

Zack had a sleepless night thinking about Poppy, Lauren and Toni. Seeing Lauren arrive home, he runs over to her to see how Poppy is.

Vaslav thanks Scrabbler for letting him stay the night on his sofa. He tells him that he’s thinking of renting a flat on the Square. When Scrabbler breaches the subject of work, vaslav closes down unable to think of going near the place. Scrabbler urges him to contact the police warning that Bomani could do this to someone else.

Also tonight, F1ken is in the Shirley Gutter hoping to see nicnacs, will she appear? Shirley is inquisitive and Mick finally opens up saying he’s had a disagreement with Linda’s mum, Elaine, and needs somewhere to crash for a few nights. Shabnam confronts Mo mouse who is buying Vaseline and tissues in the Minute Mart, calling him a pervert Mo tells her she’s a loathsome, racist, religious nazi and leaves the shop without paying. Maurice and sorcha decide to go and visit Tk’s grave for the first time since sorcha’s suicide attempt.

Klen and Dot are preparing to see Poppy when a familiar face walks through the doors of the ward, it’s Fatboy!

After a half hour of waiting, Bevis is relieved to see RedHood. Officer benbenalen begins the questioning turning on the tape accompanied by a DCI. “Where were you the night of 24th June 2013, the last time Emily Worth was seen alive.” Bevis looks pensive as he begins to wonder if he should tell them what really happened that night!

Zack apologises to Lauren saying that she wasn’t to blame and that he wouldn’t have known what to do in that situation either, “I didn’t exactly handle Toni well, did I?” Lauren says that the doctors hadn’t been round when she was there but Poppy was very confused and wasn’t allowed any visitors. Lauren thanks Zack for helping her yesterday, giving him a peck on the cheek which ends up leading to a full on snog. Lauren runs cheekily up the steps and into her house, Zack stands still unable to believe what just happened.

Vaslav is outside the police station deliberating whether to enter or not, the photos Scrabbler took of his injuries in his hand.

Back at the hospital, the nurse tells klen et co. that only two are allowed in at a time and klendathu is heartbroken to be left outside. The nurse hands him a bag with Poppy’s clothes, looking in it he’s shocked to see she was wearing 5 jumpers to protect her from the cold. Fatboy is taken aback by the state she’s in, looking at her thin bones and blotchy skin. He has to remind her who he is, Poppy remembers him after he refreshes her memory.

Bevis recalls that everyone was invited to dan’s housewarming party that night. He remembers because it’s the day his grandfather passed away. Asked if he knew Emily, Bevis recounts seeing her posts on DS but they never really interacted. “I’ve never seen her in person so I didn’t know what she looked like. When I saw the missing posters, I recognised her face but I've never had any bother from her.” They thank him for his co-operation, RedHood checking his rolex. Bevis asks why they took him in now. They tell him that they have to follow all lines of inquiry and that the case is still ongoing but he’s free to go.

Fatboy asks her what happened, how did she get like this? Poppy weeps looking at the tubes stuck in her, “I felt so alone when you left……It felt like everything in my life was going wrong and I was stressed out! The one thing I could control was whether I ate our not. It’s an endless bloody battle, a battle I’ve been fighting since my teens…… I’m 23, I think I’m invincible but I’m not and it’s gone too far. That’s what first attracted me to you, you know. I thought you were teased over your weight too. **clutches chest** ….I always knew I had it but I was never diagnosed. I’d see people on the tv and laugh cos I could control it, I never went too far and was still trim. I foolishly believed I was in control of it!” Fatboy weeps gripping her bony hand saying he’s never going to leave her side again. Klendathu watches on, seething that he’s come in and played the hero when it was him that abandoned her in the first place.

Vaslav enters the police station and says he’d like to report a homophobic attack. The policewoman asks him to take a seat. Vaslav sits down anxiously awaiting making a statement.

Dot tells Poppy that she’s never felt so helpless saying they’re going to get her all the help she needs. Dot says that once she regains the weight, she’ll be fine. Poppy cries that there’s a lot more to it than that and asks for them to leave the room. Klen takes the chance to talk to her.

Mona’s not the only one grinning like a Cheshire cat as Zack arrives home like the cat that got the cream. Mona tells him that Shirley called round to see how her ankle was but Zack is still reliving the moment over and over in his head. Mona keeps rambling on saying she’s NOT going to physio as she went with her knee last year and then she couldn’t walk, she even had to use one of those plaster thingies, “At least EastEnders is on in a minute,” she sighs. Zack sits like a lovestruck puppy slouched on the sofa, “Oh yeah, Toni’s coming home next week!” **EastEnders theme tune begins**

Bevis greets vaslav on leaving the police station inquiring what happened him, long story he quips. Bevis dials dan’s number as he heads down the steps of the police station. Vaslav gulps as he enters the interrogation room.

Klendathu tells Poppy that the doctors here know what they’re doing, she just needs to trust them. Poppy weeps saying that she feels like no one understands, “They’re frustrated with me for getting like this. I didn’t want this to happen. I looked in the mirror and I was never happy. I’d clump the bit of fat on my thighs thinking that I still had more to lose.” Klen quips that she’s beautiful and should be happy in her own skin but she needs to take on-board all the doctors are saying if she wants to get better. **gripping her hand** Poppy sobs that he’s the only one who listens to her.

Elsewhere, Maurice and sorcha are visiting TK’s grave when they take the opportunity to walk along the beach while they’re there. Sorcha panics when her waters break crying that she still has 2 months to go.

While Poppy is left alone to rest the machines start beeping. The doctors rush to her side. Klendathu, Dot and Fatboy wait outside in dread. Dot leads them in prayer.

As they pray we see vaslav being questioned, Bevis turning the key in his door and maurice speeding to the hospital with sorcha in the back panting before returning to the doctors who are trying to get Poppy stable. A doctor emerges to tell them that they had to resuscitate her and she’s now in a coma.

Duff duff: Klendathu bursts out crying unable to take the news in.

EPISODE TWELVE – THE 50TH EPISODE ‘THE CIRCLE OF LIFE’: HOUR-LONG EPISODE

Sorcha squeals and pushes as the midwife tells her that she’s nearly there. Maurice is sweating by her side, sorcha gripping his hand tightly while breathing the gas and air. **Maurice cheekily asks if he can have some** Sorcha is worn out at this stage, Maurice asks if it’s normal for labour to last this long but the midwife assures him that it’s perfectly normal for the first one to be quite lengthy. The midwife urges her to push telling her she can see the head.

Dot makes her way through the hospital corridor hoping that Poppy has come round. She finds a weary-eyed klen sitting outside her hospital room where he appears to have slept the night. Klen informs her that there’s no change and that Fatboy has gone down to the shop to get some breakfast.

Scrabbler comes down the stairs to the aroma of baking. Lola_skye serves him his pancakes saying he can add whatever fruit he wants as a topping passing him the fruit bowl. Scrabbler thanks her but says everything tastes the same to him. Pointing at the roof, she apologises saying she got a bit carried away with the flipping and one got stuck. Vaslav emerges from the shower determined to get his life back on track. Scrabbler asks when he’s returning to work but vaslav tells him that he’s told them he’s been beaten up and needs time off, “I won’t be returning. Moderating just isn’t for me. I’m hoping to find something else in the meantime.” Scrabbler takes the opportunity to ask them both to stay there permanently saying that he likes having them around, “You have to pay your way though!” he quips. Vaslav and Lola embrace him, vaslav taking the opportunity to clench his bottom. Scrabbler also asks Lola to do some work experience at his office to help regain her confidence before heading to the bathroom to take his pills.

Dan lies in bed watching Bevis get dressed. Bevis asks when he’s going to find himself a job saying he should try to get some bar work at Angie’s Den which is reopening soon. Dan asks why he didn’t just tell the police the truth when he was being questioned. Bevis laughs saying that it takes more than a standard police interrogation to break him and kisses him as he leaves for work. Bevis catches the post on his way out and is startled to see that RedHood has added the money that dan owes him to his bill for yesterday.

Mona is worried that she’ll be out on her ear when Toni comes back but Zack reassures her that they’ll sort something out whilst texting Lauren to meet up. Elsewhere, Gary watches Janine’s house from the Square gardens, what’s he up to?

Also tonight, Shabnam tells Kim about Mo Mouse playing peeping tom and robbing from her sister’s establishment, Kim vows to evict him wondering if the B&B is more hassle than its worth. F1ken comes face to face with nicnacs and begs her to hear him out. Sez_babe remembers Michael when she sees the armchair of doom being removed from the Slaters. Morgan reminds Bianca of the time she told him his father was Osama complaining that he never sees Ray anymore, Bianca corrects him that it was Obama.

Klen tries to refrain from verbally attacking Fatboy but he can’t help it when he continues to munch loudly. Klendathu shouts at him that this is all his fault and he should never have left her in the first place. Fatboy plays the martyr saying he wouldn’t have let her get in this state. Dot tries to play the mediator but klen won’t let him have the last word, “It was happening before you left for Ibiza and you didn’t notice!” Fatboy exclaims that she was always just trim, never anorexic. They’re interrupted by the doctor who tells them that she’s coming round…

The midwife tells sorcha one last push. Sorcha cries that she said that ten minutes ago but it’s enough. The midwife informs her that she’s had a baby boy. Maurice wipes the sweat from his brow as sorcha smiles with delight. Sorcha asks if she can hold him but receives no answer, “why isn’t he crying?” she squeals, “he’s ok, isn’t he? Tell me he’s ok…” She looks to Maurice for reassurance but he’s caught in some worried, shocked trance. The baby is rushed out of the room as sorcha begins to weep, Maurice half hugs her not knowing what to say.

Scrabbler is leaving the house in a hurry and is taken aback to see Gary looking in his direction. Gary is amused as Scrabbler walks around the Square Gardens instead of through them and shouts over that he’s just waiting on his brother, his stalking days are over. Gary walks towards the B&B when he sees dullag leaving the house but takes a right turn making his way behind the houses.

Zack is pleased when Lauren tells him that her house is free until this evening but Mona has a favour to ask him first, she wants to go to the pub but needs his help. Zack carries her down the stairs before following behind her as she hops around the pub amusing onlookers. Dan greets them as goes to meet Lotty. Mona is startled to find a mystery bearded man behind the bar. He is amused by her hopping to the stool quipping that she knows how to make an entrance. He asks what she’d like to drink along with her name, “Coke please and people call me Mona.” **Zack rushes to the Brannings his stomach doing backflips, somersaults and 50ft dives**, “Nice to meet you mona, I’m Mick….Mick Carter” Mona falls off her stool.

Fatboy rushes in to be by Poppy’s side. She’s still very weak and they are alarmed when she throws up. Dot heads to the hospital chapel to light a candle and pray. Elsewhere, Gary enters through Janine’s back door.

Sorcha can’t stop sobbing telling Maurice that she doesn’t know what she’ll do if he doesn’t make it. Maurice tries to remain strong telling her that these doctors and nurses are equipped to deal with these situations. The midwife returns to inform them that the baby will be ok but it’ll have to stay in an incubator until it can breathe by itself. Sorcha weeps with delighted looking up at Maurice and back at the midwife, she asks if she can see him…

Dan and Lotty sit on Arthur’s bench as she takes a break from the surgery. Dan tells her that Bevis lied to the police and he feels guilty now for phoning them on him saying he thinks he’s the one! Lotty urges him to move on now and try and get on with his life saying he has to trust Bevis if he wants to do that but surely he can now? Dan says he tries but it’s easier said than done especially with her brothers hanging around the Square. Lotty gives him a hug and she heads back to work. Dan sits and watches the world go by.

Gary can’t find Janine and heads upstairs. He’s surprised to see his brother’s stuff in a separate bedroom. Entering through Janine’s bedroom door, Janine is taken by surprise, “What do you think you’re doing in my house?”…..”I’m Gary, Dully’s brother. He let me in” Gary smiles.

Zack unbuttons the top of his shirt as Lauren gets them drinks in the kitchen. Hearing his phone beep, he sees a message from Toni’s psychiatrist stating that she won’t be getting home because she’s relapsed. Zack’s heart sinks.

Mona thanks Mick for helping her up but is curious about his motives wondering why he’s only crept out of the woodwork now that his sister owns a pub. Mick assures her that it’s only temporary. Shirley is surprised to see her and asks how her ankle is. Mona is envious as she watches their close relationship from afar.

Poppy cries that she thinks she’s dying but Klen tries to assure her that she’ll recover. As the machines start beeping, Klen runs to get the doctors. A guilty Fatboy stands by her side close to tears.

Gary asks Janine if she can put some money towards the investigation to find his and dullag’s sister, Emily, sighing that private investigators don’t come cheap. Janine laughs that he’s been throwing money around like a millionaire lately and should have spent his money more wisely. Gary lies that dullag was too afraid to ask her in case she thought he was a sponger. Janine tells him that she’ll talk to him when he gets back and that if she’s handing any money over it’ll be to HIM not Gary...”And in future I’d prefer if you rang the doorbell, I’ve only just ridded myself of one slimy, creeping creature. Close the door on your way out!” Janine texts dullag as Gary leaves, watching from the top window.

Maurice wheels sorcha to the incubator. Sorcha is overcome with happiness as she stares at him, “I can’t believe he’s mine. I can’t believe he came out of me. What should we call him?” Sorcha looks around but Maurice is gone…

As klen and Fatz talk to Poppy, they can see that she can hear them as her heart rate goes up on the monitor as they speak. Dot arrives back as the doctor tells them he’s doesn’t think her heart has much fight left in it. As they say their goodbyes, she takes her last breaths and passes away. Unable to cope Klendathu leaves the room as Fatboy comforts a sobbing Dot.

Dan treats Bevis to a meal at Scarlett’s as a thank you for everything. IanMandy waits on their table joking that he expects a hefty tip. When dan nips to the loo, he is amused when he hears an argument between Jake and IanMandy. IanMandy shouts that he’s not working with a child killer, Sadie has told him everything. Jake retaliates by saying that everyone knows he killed Emily. Dan enters the restroom.

Zack apologies to Lauren saying he’s not in the mood for any rumpy pumpy, he’s had some bad news about Toni. Lauren laughs that there doesn’t have to be any funny business and these drinks are strictly non-alcoholic. Zack and Lauren open up about their respective trials and tribulations.

Maurice bumps into klendathu on the corridor. Maurice can see he’s in a state and asks about Poppy. Klendathu can’t utter the words and just says “gone” while sobbing uncontrollably into Maurice’s tee-shirt. Klen enquires what he’s doing here, Maurice says sorcha went into premature labour but he can’t look at the baby because it reminds him of TK. Klen says, “why is that such a bad thing,? what did you expect?”

A montage plays with the following song, as Toni shouts to be let home. IanMandy weeps in the corner as the voice of Mandy tells him to hurt Jake and show him whose boss. A waylaid Dullag drinks his methadone before texting Gary that he’ll reveal his forum name if he doesn’t stop hassling him. Vaslav stumbles out of the pub drunk and falls over and thinks he’s died and gone to heaven when he opens his eyes to see Cora and Sharon helping him up off the ground. Mo Mouse lies in the gutter. Scrabbler sits alone in the dark office. Los.kav looks at the old Charity shop, seeing a young girl spewing up her guts he’s glad that he’s beaten his demon. Poppy’s body is wheeled out of her hospital room as Dot and Fatboy look on. Maurice cries to Klendathu that it was his fault that TK died.

Producer talk:

'Over the course of the four series, I've dealt with many mental illnesses; self-harming, alcoholism, drug addiction, schizophrenia, depression, anorexia, brief psychosis and I felt that it was important to highlight that not everyone beats their demons. We've seen some come to terms with their illness, others in the midst of them and now someone lose to them.
Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness which may surprise people but they are often not detected or treated until it has hit crisis point. The mortality rate associated with anorexia nervosa is 12 times higher than the death rate associated with all causes of death for females 15-24 years old.
The moral of the story is seek help, if its a loved one, breach the subject/get them checked out and support them. You often have to live with these illnesses for the rest of your life but it's about being able to cope with them day to day and resist those urges/messages from your brain. People often discard them because you can't see them. Unfortunately, there's still a big stigma surrounding mental illnesses.'

DS Enders will be back for a fifth series in May when the forum soap will celebrate its 1st anniversary (31st May). The series is currently in the plotting stages but it's going to be a big one for the Dan story and the Mitchells.

Also, any recommended names for sorcha's baby boy, feel free to post below or PM me. The next series will be 2 months after his birth/Poppy's death. I also hope to post the first DS Enders 2 hander (closest one was the 4 hander between Sharon/Phil/Shirley/Mona) and christening. There's also going to be a lot more fun next series with potential new romances and birthday parties.

EPISODE ONE 51/74: TWO MONTHS LATER

Klendathu stares at Poppy’s gravestone almost in a trance. It’s clear he’s still grieving her tragic loss. Maurice makes his way over having just visited TK’s grave. He puts a comforting arm around klen’s shoulder as he wipes away a tear. Maurice tells him they have to leave in a few minutes as he has to get the house ready for sorcha taking the baby home.

Sorcha sits staring at her baby ecstatic that she’s going to be taking him home today. Touching his little hand, she stares lovingly at him. The nurse comes in to tell her she can go home at 3pm once the doctor has been around.

Mona tells Zack she’ll be spending the day in the pub helping to serve the food as Mick will be there, “I’m watching him like a hawk. He’s moved back in with his wife and kids yet comes back here to work shifts and see his sister, the sister he hasn’t bothered with in years but now she’s got her own pub, he’s playing the loving brother. I don't buy it!” Zack waves her off, her ankle now healed, “See ya later, Miss Mona Marple.” Zack texts Lauren to come over saying he’s got the flat to himself.

Skye thanks Scrabbler for giving her a job saying she feels like she has a purpose in life again and got back her self-esteem. Scrabbler smiles saying she’s doing a great job. Vaslav comes down the stairs in a suit ready for his meeting with DS. He jokes to Scrabbler to stop eyeballing him, “I’m going to tell them out straight, it’s me or Bomani. The police may not have been able to do anything about it due to no CCTV but I’m not going to lose my job over this.” They both wish him luck as they head to the EastEnders head office inbetween Angie’s Den and RedHood’s solicitor office.

Also tonight, Fishmonger O…O tries to sell Ian some red herring but he’s having none of it. A homeless Mo Mouse begs outside the Minute Mart and is thankful when Shirley throws him a fiver, he tells her she’s not the two bit lush he thought she was. Nicnacs is torn over what to do about F1Ken and wonders if she should continue seeing him, knowing he’s got a wife at home no matter how badly she might treat him. Mr. Ender is amused by his new customer who just wants him to sext her.

Klendathu asks Maurice how long it takes for the pain to go away. Maurice directs him towards the car and they begin to walk slowly, “I’m probably not the best person to ask. Sorcha’s only just gotten over Tk’s death but everyone’s different. Some never get over it and they become defined by it. It’ll always be a part of her but she can deal with it now, I don’t know… she’s just come to accept it. I think time helps, yes she has her bad days when something reminds her of him or she comes across something of his or one of his favourite songs comes on the radio.” **both get into the car** Klen cries that he doesn’t even feel close to her there. Maurice says that sorcha too prefers to visit his plaque, close to where TK died. Klen nods, “I feel closest to her at Dot’s house but she won’t see anyone. **Maurice’s phone rings and he asks klen to take the call**

Vaslav waits anxiously to be seen at DS headquarters. He gulps when he sees Bomani and his crew, the first time he’s seen him since the attack. He unbuttons his top button struggling to breathe. Going to take a drink, he spills it as his nerves take over. The secretary notices his uneasiness and opens the window. Sticking his head out it he takes a series of deep breaths wondering if he’ll ever be able to work here again, Bomani or no Bomani.

Mona watches Mick closely, perched at the end of the bar with a bird’s eye view of everything that’s going on. She refuses to be taken in by his friendly bravado. Shirley remarks that he has the punters eating out his hands and takings are up now they have a man behind the bar. Mona quips that she’s never mentioned him before, how come he’s only come out of the woodwork now? Shirley states that her family history is complicated. Mona spits at Mick that she knows he has an utter motive jealous that he’s taken her place, Mick laughs it off by mooing at her. Mona looks back at him bewildered muttering that Phil will kill him with his ‘bear’ hands if he double-crosses her Shirl.

Sorcha continuously looks at the clock on the wall just wanting to get home with her baby. Talking to another new mum passes the time but then her partner turns up and she’s surprised to see it’s a woman. Turns out that they got a sperm donor and they’ll be bringing up the child together. She wishes Maurice was there too and texts him that she’s chosen a name hoping he’ll come to the hospital quicker.

Priscilla sighs ‘finally’ as Maurice pulls up outside his house. Waiting impatiently with Sez, blue, Sharon, Kim and IanMandy, he lets them in as they hurriedly prepare the house for sorcha’s homecoming. Sharon reminisces about Denny’s birth, Kim proceeds to wave around her crucifix necklace and bless herself. Priscilla sticks the kettle on as blue prepares sandwiches with a series of different fillings whilst IanMandy takes the cling film off the finger foods he’s taken over. Maurice takes the gifts upstairs and sits them in the nursery before proceeding to the hospital to collect her and the baby.

Vaslav takes a deep breath as he enters the DS office. They tell him that he’s a valued MOD but they need to know whether he’s ready to return now. Vaslav says he’s only just recovered from the homophobic attack he suffered. He tells them that his attacker is one of the workforce and that he can’t continue to work alongside them saying that the bullying is also occurring in the workplace. He’s told that there’s no evidence of this and that no other member of staff has noticed any unacceptable behaviour in the office, passing it off as workplace banter. Vaslav issues an ultimatum, “It’s me or Bomani!”

Sez notices klen is downbeat and says that after Michael died, she found it helpful to go to a therapist, “People don’t know what to say to you. I found therapy really helpful, I still attend just not as frequently.” She hands him the number, he thankfully grips her hand as a sign of his appreciation. Kim moans about the B&B saying she’s thinking of closing or selling up. It’s met with hostility but she cries that it’s too much work and people aren’t paying their way. IanMandy heads to the bathroom as he begins to hear Mandy’s voice, not wanting to have an episode in front of everyone. As he imagines Mandy touching him, he unzips his trousers. Downstairs, Klen queries where Zack is.

Lauren is dressed to the nines as she enters Zack’s flat letting herself in with the key he gave her. Zack sprays himself with some Beckham as she makes her way up the stairs. They waste no time talking and quickly get down to business. Elsewhere, Maurice drives back into the Square, sorcha and baby in the back. As sorcha carries the baby into the house in his car seat, she’s overwhelmed to see everyone in her living room and the spread they’ve put on, “Everyone meet baby Eddard.” she smiles. **Kim spits out her sausage roll**

Zack takes off his t-shirt as a lingerie-clad Lauren slips back into the empty bathtub. **sexy music plays in the background** Zack turns on the taps as Lauren puts the stopper in. They continue to embrace but are stopped in their tracks when the bathroom door opens.

Duff duff: A shocked Toni stares at the scantily-clad pair making out in the bathtub.

Toni scans the bathroom swiftly, ‘I see you’ve changed the decor.’ Zack arranges himself awkwardly as Toni leaves the bathroom. Lauren turns off the taps and lets the water out before drying herself off with the towel. Zack makes his way into the living room. Toni remarks that this is a turn up for the books. Zack mutters and mumbles as he tries to explain to her that he and Lauren have only been seeing each other a couple of months. Toni pauses and looks towards Zack lifting up the Phirley dvds simultaneously, “I mean you living with mona or is there something else you’d like to tell me?” Lauren appears at the threshold of the bathroom door but doesn’t speak.

Over at sorcha’s homecoming, Priscilla breaks the awkward silence asking if anyone wants a vol-au-vent. Kim sarcastically smiles that that’s nice as klen says she must be a big Game of Thrones fan leading the conversation swiftly on. Maurice jokes that she’s addicted and stayed up until the middle of the night to watch the latest series opener live. Sharon quips that if she has a baby with Phil, she’d consider Joffrey if it was a boy. Klen laughs that she shouldn’t let mona hear her say that, she’d lock up in the cellar and give you a hysterectomy. Upstairs, IanMandy is still in the bathroom. Confused and distressed, he quietly exits through the front door and outside to get some fresh air. **cue fancy directing**

The DS heads tell vaslav that there’s no evidence to support his claims, “Can anyone corroborate your story?” A defeated vas shakes his head knowing there’s more chance of Cora being Sharon’s mother than Bomani being given his p45. Vaslav says then that he has no option but to resign as a moderator of DS, “You know what you can stuff your job. I’ve had enough of the trolls, wind-up merchants and previous banned users not to mention those whose opinion is so important they have to start a new thread every time a thought springs into their head or almost orgasm at some breaking news that they don’t notice the existing 25 topics on the subject. Don’t even get me started on the bullies that stalk me, probably the same ones that pervade this office.” **vaslav flounces out of their office**

IanMandy walks through the market in a daze. Ian nabs him telling him he needs him to cover in the restaurant tonight. IanMandy asks if Jake will be there. Ian sighs saying it’s impossible to continue keeping them apart on the rota adding that he’ll warn Jake to be on his best behaviour. IanMandy ponders it but can’t say no to Ian’s begging desperation. IanMandy continues to walk. Turning the corner, he sees a blonde woman resembling Mandy sitting at the War Memorial. On reaching her, he’s disappointed to see it’s only Nikki Spraggan but he still sits down beside her.

Also tonight, Bevis asks dan if he’s going to the club opening but dan says he wouldn’t be seen dead at it. Los.kav looks on as the charity shop is cleared imagining what the shelter will look like. Nicnacs texts F1Ken to meet her at Scarlett’s. Gary texts dullagj2 that he needs more money pronto.

Toni and Zack both sit down on the sofa as Zack hands her a cup of coffee. Toni sighs that now Lauren’s gone, he can finally fill her in and what she’s missed. Zack tries to defend himself saying that he and Lauren wasn’t planned, it just kind of happened. Toni says he doesn’t have to explain himself to her. Zack apologises for letting her down, Toni grabs his hand and says he saved her life, “Who would have found me if I’d been living alone?” Zack tears up and they share a touching hug, “It’s so good to have you back. Place hasn’t been the same without you!” Toni smiles but says she won’t be staying in this flat…

Sharon says she has to go as it’s the opening night of Angie’s Den and she wants to see Dot too. Klen asks if he can come with her as she won’t let him in. Sez and blue do the clearing up and Maurice’s awkwardness around the baby hasn’t gone unnoticed, blue says he might just be nervous with all the guests there. Kim coos at baby Eddard asking if she can call him ‘Ed’ or ‘Eddie’ for short, “I’m not good with names, that right Norris….” Maurice is too busy trying to get through to IanMandy to see where he got to but he just gets voicemail. Kim quips that there better be free drinks at this bar opening. Priscilla states that she can always just bring along her sugar daddy, Gary, just in case. Kim rolls her eyes in her direction, “No need to be jealous honey just cos you ain’t got nobody.” Blue takes Kim to leave before the girls come to blows. Priscilla sits down beside Sez, ‘You know I thought I was one of the ones that got Kim’s humour.”

Vaslav calls into Scrabbler’s office, clearly cheesed off. He tells him that he’s going to get smashed at Sharon’s club opening tonight and looks on the brightside saying at least he won’t have to see Bomani again. Scrabbler tells him that plying his liver with alcohol isn’t the answer, Vaslav asks if he’s got any better ideas. Over at Scarlett’s, IanMandy is pi$$ed off that he’s missing Sharon’s big night. More so, when he finds out that’s why Ian’s got him to cover.

Sharon and klen are surprised to find Fatboy on Dot’s doorstep with his suitcase. He tells them that he just wanted to say goodbye to Mrs. B before he headed back to Ibiza but she wouldn’t open the door saying he's best far away from her as everyone that gets close to her dies. Fatboy’s taxi beeps, klen isn’t sorry to see him go. Sharon doesn’t take no for an answer and Dot eventually lets them inside. Elsewhere, Sorcha says she felt for klen today before giving Maurice a peck on the cheek, thanking him for bringing everyone together like that. Sez and Priscilla get them to raise their glasses to a new chapter. Maurice tries to feign a smile scared at what lies ahead.

As Sharon talks to Dot, klen goes up to Poppy’s room. He tears up as he sees its still as she left it, like she’s out there somewhere and will be home soon. Seeing her dressing gown, he sniffs it, it’s like she’s alive again. He’d forgotten what she smelt like. Seeing the weighing scales hidden behind the wardrobe, it hits home and he breaks down crumbling to the floor. Downstairs, Sharon has to rush off to get the club ready. Dot hears klen. Making her way upstairs, she gives him a comforting hug and they begin to reminisce about how they miss her presence in their lives.

Zack begs Toni to stay saying he can kip on the sofa but her minds made up, “I can’t stay here…in this flat…too many bad memories..” Zack asks her where she’s going to go? Toni says that she’ll stay at the B&B until she finds her feet saying there’s a reception job going at the doctor’s surgery. Zack is tearful as she heads off afraid that he’s ruined their friendship and/or she might be planning something stupid again, fearing she’s not as healed as she makes out.

IanMandy tries not to let Jake get to him making conversation with nicnacs but when Jake finds someone has spiked his drink with alcohol, he blames IanMandy and a row ensues. The other staff are forced to separate them but the tension remains high.

Over at Angie’s Den, the place is buzzing and Sharon is pleased that the night appears to be a success. Vaslav thinks he’s seeing things when a man like Bomani makes his way to the bar. Moving closer for a better look, he’s floored to see it is him and leaves rapidly.

Back at Scarlett’s we can hear commotion from the outside. As the camera pans inside, we see IanMandy clutching his side. Nicnacs inquires what happened as F1Ken calls an ambulance.

Duff duff: IanMandy gasps that Jake Stone stabbed him.

COMING THURSDAY:

EPISODE THREE 53/74:

IanMandy wakes up in hospital while Jake sits in his cell awaiting questioning. At Scarlett’s, Ian looks on in horror as the police investigate the scene of the crime. He cries to Denise that this better not harm his business after all the hard work he’s put in. Denise says he should spare a thought for IanMandy.

IanMandy is the talk of the Square once again. Bevis says he can’t believe Jake stabbed him, “As if the poor kid hasn’t suffered enough.” Dan recalls the argument he heard them having a few months back saying him and Jake have had a long standing feud. Bevis tells dan he should go and visit him at the hospital but dan says he can’t, he’s got a surprise for him but he’ll sort something out.

Dullagj2 is in a state as Gary continues to bombard him with texts for more money. Having had enough of it, he storms over to the B&B to have it out with him but is stopped in his tracks by Big Joey Crack, his drug dealer. Will dullag be tempted back to his old ways?

Bevis sets up his stall and is surprised to see a new stall has set up beside him, Pact Coffee, offering cups of coffee for a £1. Ian fumes at Tamwar for letting them a pitch on the market saying it’ll put his café out of business, Tamwar sighs that a bit of competition won’t do it any harm. Sharon’s on her way to the club and ushers Ian into his café in a bid to calm him down. Bevis’ jaw drops to the floor when he sees dan wearing a Pact Coffee apron and cap. Approaching him, he tells Bevis to say hello to his new market companion.

Also tonight, Dan asks Sharon to go and see IanMandy not wanting him to feel alone and suicidal again. Vald’s worried by los.kav’s continued binding fearing the effects this will have on him in years to come. Toni receives a warm welcome from the residents of the Square on her return having spent the night in the B&B. Lotty’s frustrated when she misses a skype call from her son due to her hectic schedule at the surgery.

The police question Jake who proclaims his innocence, ‘Someone had spiked my drink. I was out the back getting sick, I came back into the kitchen and he was standing there with the bloodied knife, the one I had been using. He shoved it back in my hand covered with what turned out to be blood. Then, that was when I noticed the wound to his side. Before I had time to take it all in, the other waiters came in and he was accusing me of doing it.” They tell him that they can keep him up to 48 hours before deciding whether to charge him or not.

IanMandy is happy to see a familiar face at the hospital when Sharon shows up. She urges him to get in touch with his parents but he says that he can’t, they’ll disown him when they find out he’s left college. Sharon is stern with him saying he can’t put that off forever, they’re going to find out eventually. They’re interrupted by the police who want to talk with him. Sharon leaves the room.

Bevis has mixed emotions about dan’s new found employment, he’s happy that he’s finally found a job but mad that he kept it a secret from him. Dan’s adamant that he wanted it to be a surprise but Bevis is left wondering what else he could be hiding from him. He’s also put out when dan badmouths IanMandy to PrincessPerfect who’s asking if there’s any news whilst buying some coffee for the EastEnders team. Peter also gives his two penny’s worth saying he used to have full blown conversations with himself when he lived at the Beales. As they recall his suicide attempt, they begin to wonder whether he’s mentally unwell. Bevis is uneasy at the gossiping having grown close to IanM since he moved in with them seeing him as a younger brother.

Gary sees dullagj2’s encounter through the window and is pleased to see he declines the heroin. As dullag enters, he takes a deep breath before berating Gary for his persistent harassment, “I’ve already piled money into Emily’s money fund. You won’t be getting another penny from me or Janine, I owe you nothing!” Gary laughs it off refusing to be deterred, “In case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve piled everything I’ve got into this. Some of us aren’t fortunate enough to have a millionaire to pay for our every need.” Dullag laughs that he should leave the police to do their jobs, his private investigator has made no progress at all. As dj departs, Gary rings the police…

IanMandy tells the police his side of the story, “Jake is a loose canon. He blames me for his wife leaving him and then yesterday someone spiked his drink with alcohol and again he blamed me. Knowing he’s an alcoholic, I’d never dream of doing such a thing but he was adamant that I did. I think he continued drinking, I kept my distance after the initial disagreement so I’m not sure.” **Mandy shouts at him to frame the ba$tard!** “Later on, his phone was ringing and I went to get it for him cos he was out back. It stopped ringing when I got to it but it was opened on pervy pics of Ian’s daughter, Lucy. When I confronted him, he flipped!” he sobs.

When Janine hears dullag sniffing, she fears the worst. She asks him if he scored while he was out but he swears he didn’t, he’s just got hayfever. Janine’s concerned for him and sits him down for a chat. Dullag opens up about Gary, “I’m afraid he’s going to push me back onto the drugs. He wouldn’t even notice if I disappeared. Having him here is bringing back a lot of bad memories. I don’t get why he’s so determined to find her but I’m going to find out. He’s not to be trusted! I bet he’s not even using the money for the investigation.” Janine comforts him saying that he won’t go back on the drugs as he has her and Scarlett now, he’ll never have to go back to that dark place again! As she wipes his tears, one thing leads to another…

Gary makes his way onto the market not wanting to miss all the action. He also takes the opportunity to taunt dan at his coffee stand, “What’s the secret of this cheap coffee? Beale’s is almost three times the price!” Dan refuses to entertain him giving him his change. “All secrets come out eventually, no matter how hard you try to guard them.” Gary quips. Dan is taken aback by the sudden police presence, his heart going ninety. He’s relieved when it’s Big Joey Crack who’s arrested for possessing and supplying drugs. Gary is pleased at his day’s work.

Nikki shows up at Walford police station having heard about yesterday’s stabbing incident. She tells Officer benbenalen that she has information she thinks might be of interest to them….

IanMandy lies in his hospital bed hopeful he’s done enough to rid himself of Jake and he has also made it up with Mandy now that he’s proven he’s willing to take the necessary actions. Elsewhere, Jake languishes in his cell pulling at his hair vowing, “God help that little sh!t when I get my hands on him!”

There’s a knock on the door at the Mitchells. Sharon answers…..”You must be IanMandy’s mother, nice to meet you. Come on in.” The woman smiles albeit slightly confused and goes to enter the house.

Duff duff: IanMandy’s mother’s face, it’s only Kazia Pelka.

EPISODE FOUR 54/74:

Phil is on edge in the kitchen staring at his orange juice. Sharon gives him a peck on the cheek and exits through the back door. She meets IanMandy’s mother outside the B&B having promised to accompany her to the hospital this morning. Sharon calls Turpin Cabs before starting some inane chatter trying to make conversation. Sharon says she forgot to ask her name. She says she can call her ‘Evie.’

Scrabbler knocks repeatedly on the bathroom door for vaslav to hurry up saying he’s going to be late for work. Vaslav tells him to keep his hair on before emerging in tight fitting boxers not leaving much to the imagination. Scrabbler looks away in horror telling him to put it away, he’s put him right off his breakfast. Vaslav laughs that he’s afraid he won’t be able to keep his hands off him. Scrabbler rolls his eyes wondering what he’s even doing up considering he’s no job to go to now.

Gary texts dullagj2 to meet him in the café. Dullagj2 is in two minds whether to go or not. Janine says he’s best ignoring him and not letting him get to him. Receiving another text plus two missed calls, he starts to wonder if there’s been a development in the Emily missing case and heads over to the café to put his mind at rest.

Bevis can’t help but hear Nikki over at the clothes stall talking about IanMandy. Wanting to defend his friend, he goes over to her and Bianca to get the latest gossip. Nikki informs him that she was talking to IanM on the day of the stabbing, “He sat down beside me at the War Memorial. I was there minding me own business. He started to talk and I thought he was on the phone but when I looked around he was muttering to himself. Then he stared at me saying I looked like someone he knows before trying to kiss me. I said you’re too young for me sweetheart and walked off. He didn’t take it well and shouted expletives at me.” Bevis is worried now especially when she says she’s told the police about this.

Also tonight, Vald realises los.kav has taken out a loan he can’t afford to open the homeless shelter and asks Shirley if she can hold a fundraiser for it. Mick thinks it’s a great idea saying they need to be more proactive now with Sharon’s new club as competition. Mick suggests to Shirley that they should get some digital tv in to attract the pub crowd early at the weekend and even suggests having a band play on Friday nights. Mona’s collecting glasses but still fretting that he’s planning to take the bar from under Shirl’s nose. Mona warns her that he’s taking over and she needs to remind him whose boss but Shirl tells her to mind her own.

IanMandy is gobsmacked when his mother enters his hospital ward. He begins to sob uncontrollably. Sharon decides to wait outside. Evie holds onto him, telling him not to cry, she’s not angry with him. **kissing his forehead** Evie tells him that Sharon called her and filled her in, “I’m just mad you felt like you couldn’t talk to me. You know you can tell me anything.” They’re interrupted by the police…

Vaslav’s on George Street and thinks he’s seeing things when he sees Bomani entering a flat on the street. Turning briskly, vaslav rushes home. Back on the Square, Phil’s standing in his overalls looking around him before staring into the distance towards Max’s house.

Gary gleefully informs dullagj that his drug dealer has been locked up thanks to him and is looking at up to 7 years in prison. Dullag is shocked but says that there’s more than one way to get drugs around here. Gary starts to get irate, “A thank you wouldn’t go amiss. I’m trying to make it up for not being there and you throw it back in my face!” Dullag apologises but says he doesn’t get his sudden fascination in reconciling with him and finding Emily knowing what she was like, “You came here to stalk the man that played a part in the death of our father, don’t pretend otherwise. Something like 250k people are reported missing a year and 2k aren’t found. She was a troll, how do we know she didn’t just run away from life? Maybe she just wanted to start afresh and put her past behind her, who could blame her?” Gary’s adamant that she would have been in contact with him adding he couldn’t face telling their mother, “She thinks she’s here with us…”

Bevis chats to dan about what Nikki was saying, “That’s three people saying he was talking to himself not to mention the suicide attempt.” Dan says he tried to tell him that, “how did you not pick up on it living under the same roof?” he laughs. Bevis says he wants to go and see him tonight as he hasn’t seen him since the incident. “You’re a good man to have on your side” dan states. Bevis smiles.

The police tell IanMandy that they’ve been retracing his steps on the day of the attack and some have commented on his peculiar behaviour, “We’d like you to have a psychiatric assessment.” IanMandy laughs in their face saying he’s the victim, they should be questioning that alcoholic, pervy nutter who stabbed him. They say that they’ve recovered the pics of Lucy on his phone but the attack is his word against Jake’s.

Gary watches as dullag and Janine head to the park with Scarlett and Jemima the duck. He makes his way behind the set of houses and forces his way into Janine’s with his black leather gloves and crowbar. Creeping upstairs, he raids Janine’s jewellery box. Seeing a picture of him, dullag and Emily in the next room from when they were kids, he goes to leave the house but not before he’s stolen some more of Janine’s valuables.

Next door, vaslav is shaken after seeing Bomani again and empties the bathroom cabinet looking for some pills to calm him down, he’s shocked when anti-depressants fall on the floor prescribed to Scrabbler. He hurriedly puts everything back in its place not wanting to upset his landlord. He proceeds to moisturise finding it therapeutic but the pills are still playing on his mind.

Phil walks down the steps of the doctor surgery but turns back instead of entering. Shirley is outside her Gutter smoking a fag and looks wistfully at him. He continues his bear with a sore head routine to the Arches where he takes out his frustrations on Jay and Dexter.

Evie tells Sharon she can go on home, she doesn’t want to leave IanMandy on his own. She thanks Sharon for everything saying she’d still be in the dark if it wasn’t for her. A psychiatrist enters the ward.

EPISODE FIVE 55/74:

Sorcha looks at the digital clock on her bedside locker and sees that it’s 4am. She gently nudges Maurice. When that doesn’t wake, she shakes him and he wakens abruptly as if from a nightmare. Sorcha asks him if he wants to do Eddy’s feed as he rubs his eyes and tries to cover his yawn. Maurice doesn’t want to appear incompetent and heads into the nursery next door, not before being blinded by the landing light.

Sharon wakes to find Phil isn’t there. She sticks on her nightie and heads downstairs. Turning on the light in the kitchen she gets a fright to find him sitting at the table. She enquires what he’s doing sitting in the dark. He says that he was thirsty and fell asleep on the chair. Sharon asks what’s bothering him saying he knows he can tell her anything. Phil remains resilient and heads back to bed. Sharon stays standing in the kitchen, her mind a flurry with a series of different scenarios each one worse than the other.

Janine hears Scarlett screaming and runs into her afraid the burglar may have returned. She’s haunted of images of Michael and sort of holds her mouth as if to not let a scream out. Having heard the commotion, dullagj enters as she tries to settle Scarlett. As Janine rocks her, tears clearly visible on her face, she tells him that she can’t live like this, “I thought these nights of being scared in my own home were behind me. I’m getting this place better secured. He’s dead and he still haunts me!” she cries. Dullag tries his best to comfort her saying he knows it was his brother and he’ll pay for this.

Bevis is also awake still thinking about IanMandy. Dan is woken when he puts on his bedside lamp to read a book. Dan tells him he’s done all he can for him. Bevis says he didn’t see him, “I’m worried for him. He just didn’t seem all there. I think he was traumatised by the incident and his mother turning up hasn’t helped things.” Dan quips that Sharon’s sticking her oar in again where it’s not needed, she should be concentrating all her energies on Dennis the menace. Bevis laughs saying she’s probably trying to keep away from him. Dan says he knows what will get him back to sleep and heads under the covers.

With Scarlett back off to sleep, dullag takes the opportunity to get back in Janine’s bed. He tells her that she’s not on her own. Janine says that she finds it hard to trust, “You were talking to Gary yesterday. You were also the last person to rob my house, how do I know you weren’t in on this?” Dullagj is offended saying he was a druggie desperate for his next fix then and would never betray her again especially after all she’s done for him, “I think I’m falling in love with you…”….

Maurice tries his best to get Eddy to drink his bottle but he continues to cry sensing his uneasiness. He’s forced to call on sorcha making him feel inadequate. The baby begins to feed for sorcha and she tells Maurice to go back to bed, there’s no point in both of them losing sleep. Maurice goes back to their bedroom and gets under the covers. He’s still annoyed though and wonders if he’s cut out for fatherhood.

Also tonight, Mo Mouse begs Geraldine for forgiveness although at first she doesn’t recognise him. Lola_skye is in two minds whether to join a dating site or not unimpressed with the Walford ‘talent.’ Vald wants to keep the fundraiser a surprise and asks los.kav to accompany her to the ‘Shirley Gutter’ tomorrow. Toni joins Ronnie’s gym having been advised by her counsellor to get a hobby.

Bevis and dan both can’t face getting out of bed for work. Dan says it’s so tiring standing all day, “When I was a taxi driver, the only time I had to stay standing was when I was urinating…….now I’m doing it for eight hours!” Bevis laughs saying welcome to my world, you get used to it “I’ll buy you a stool for your birthday.” “Great, now I’m got images of stools roaming around my brain. All this toilet talk is making me think of that night I lost my virginity in nightclub toilet to some bloke that was five years older than me. I was 18. Not quite how I imagined I would be" dan jokes. Bevis laughs saying he got carpet burns from his, although it was quite romantic with his first long-term boyfriend. “Not the last time you left stains in the carpet” dan quips before looking at his alarm clock, “Sh!t it’s 7:50, I’ve ten minutes to get on the stall.” “I guess we’ll have to make do with some Pact Coffee for breakfast, then,” Bevis sighs.

Priscilla calls round to sorcha’s to see how she’s getting on. Maurice goes for a walk. Priscilla’s in awe as she gets to hold him for the first time saying he’s making her broody. Sorcha tells her she’s plenty of time to have babies. Priscilla agrees saying she wants to have a career and be in a stable relationship before she even thinks about having a child. Noticing sorcha’s weariness, she says she can have a lie down if she wants and she’ll look after Eddard. Sorcha’s thankful but declines, “It’s just the most amazing feeling though, I can’t explain it. I just fell in love with him the minute I clapped eyes on him. I don’t want to let him out of my sight. He’s so quiet except when he needs a feed, he was just lying there in his moses basket last night and I had to check he was still breathing.” Sorcha texts Maurice to get some nappies and formula while he’s out. Priscilla asks how Maurice is adjusting to fatherhood, sorcha goes silent.

Over at the doctor’s surgery, Sharon watches as Phil enters having convinced him to go, him having confided in her this morning that he thinks he has a kidney infection but is afraid it could be something more. The camera now shows inside the surgery where we see Phil sat in the middle of Janine and Dot. Janine tries to settle Scarlett, amused to see Phil at the doctor’s. Dot starts nattering on that she already takes a load of tablets daily but is a hypochondriac and likes to put her mind at rest, “Dr. Lotty knows me by my first name, still no one comes close to Dr. Legg. At least this one’s not accustomed to setting buildings on fire, as far as I know anyway…” Janine is called in. Dot asks Phil where Peggy is now. Phil says she’s in Portugal with Sam and Grant. Dot remarks how she’s rarely left this Square over her life, “I sometimes wonder if I’d be happier if I did, then again I might never have met my Jim!”

IanMandy is happy to be discharged from hospital but he still has to be visited by a nurse daily to change his bandage to make sure his wound doesn’t get infected. The psychiatrist also wants to run more tests. His happiness is also marred by his mother, Evie, who continues to mollycoddle him and tells him that once this ordeal is over he’s coming home. IanMandy tells her there's no room at his place and she'll have to reside at the B&B.

Maurice calls at Dot’s wanting to check on Klen. Klendathu answers the door after 5 minutes, he doesn’t utter a word and goes back upstairs having opened the door. Maurice closes it behind him and follows him before finding him laid out on Poppy’s bed. Klen says this is the ONE place he feels close to her. Maurice says he can’t stay cooped up here forever. “Dot said I could stay, keep her company” he protests. Maurice goes to break down, klen enquires what’s wrong? Maurice sniffs that he doesn’t think he can be a father to TK’s child, “I thought I could but seeing him brings it all back, the affair, betrayal, murder….you’re the only one who understands.” Klen tries to comfort him, slightly glad that his mind is being occupied by something other than Poppy.

Back at the surgery, Janine emerges with a prescription of antibiotics for Scarlett. Dot lets Phil go ahead of her. As Janine leaves the surgery, she sees dullagj2 storming towards the market and follows. Dullag approaches Gary who is sitting outside the café and accuses him of burgling Janine’s house, everyone in the market looking at them he acts dumb. “Admit it, admit it or I’ll tell everyone who you REALLY are!” dullagj shouts at Gary.

EPISODE SIX 56/74:

It’s early Saturday morning on the Square but it’s awash with banners, bunting and flags as it’s not just any Saturday, it’s the fundraiser for los.kav’s homeless shelter and vald has gone all out. Elsewhere, vald wakes los.kav early telling him to get a move on, him completely unaware of what lies ahead.

The locksmith arrives early at Janine’s but dullag didn’t get much sleep anyway. Letting him in, he stares at the B&B. Janine peers out the window when she hears the knock. Seeing the Square all done up she’s reminded of her wedding day and Scarlett’s premature labour. She takes a deep breath and goes downstairs to the locksmith wanting to make sure he does a thorough job on her house.

IanMandy wakens to five missed calls from his mother. The nurse is right on time. Seeing her blonde locks, he imagines its Mandy touching him. Bevis asks if she needs anything, thanking him she says she’s fine. She enquires if Ian’s related to him or if they’re just friends, IanMandy informs her that they’re just friends. As she goes, IanMandy remains sitting unable to walk with all the excitement. Bevis lets her out.

Shirley and Mick’s sibling camaraderie continues with mona feeling left out as she watches on from the periphery. Zack helps her set up stall of refreshments with all monies going towards the shelter. Mona airs her concerns to him but he advises her to sit tight and wait for him to slip up, otherwise she could be wrong and risk losing her friendship with Shirl.

Also tonight, Mr. Ender’s sexting takes a twisted turn when he accidentally sends a text to Kim, he remains locked in his room unable to face her. Mo Mouse is a slave to Geraldine, still in the doghouse, he’s at her beck and call noon and night. Ian is unhappy that Lucy has gone into business with David against his wishes. Jake is charged with stabbing IanMandy, still professing his innocence. He’s remanded considered a danger to society.

Los.kav is overwhelmed when he enters to see the Square has come out in force to support his new venture. Vald grins from ear to ear, delighted with how it’s all come together. The tears roll down his face as he thanks and hugs her. There’s a big cheer for him as he walks down Bridge Street. Hosting the event, Tracey speaks more than she has in 29 years getting the games underway. Blue, Sez and Priscilla wave their flags, blue saying she can’t wait for Tracey’s commentary.

IanMandy meets Evie outside the café saying she should go home now to his dad. Evie says she’s not going anywhere until he’s well enough to take with her. She begins to fuss over him saying he shouldn’t be out in the cold and that he’ll catch an infection in that tip of a flat. IanMandy tells her to stop mollycoddling him, he’s not a child anymore and she’s only going to drive him further away. Evie walks off in a huff knowing he’s right.

Janine wants to take Scarlett to the fundraiser saying it’ll be nice day out. Dullag spots Gary with Kim unable to believe the brass neck of him, “I find it hard to believe he’s my brother. He’s such a spineless, good-for-nothing, selfish, manipulating little sh1t.” Janine says he wouldn’t believe how thick her brother is, especially considering she’s mentally gifted, “I can outsmart anyone. Ricky would struggle to find his way out of a paper bag.”

The first event of the day gets underway with a chair race between the EastEnders team, its Mormon Girl v Scrabbler in a relay swivel chair race around the Square, down the market and finishing at the offices. Mormon Girl is confident her team (lola_skye and PrincessPerfect) can beat Scrabbler’s (EEFanatic and AngelicPrincess) saying she should be EP when she does. The race begins and the crowd going wild, Mo taking the bets on the sidelines with Alfie, him having to make sure she doesn’t pocket any of it whilst trying to fend off advances from RetroMusicFan. Tracey commentates from the Shirley Gutter roof. As they come to the last straight, it’s Mormon Girl v Scrabbler, who’ll win?

Dullag can’t take seeing Gary having a good time and confronts him when he sees him entering the pub. Following him in, Gary makes his way to the gents. Dullag enters warning him that he’s overstepped the mark saying there’s nowhere to run this time. “No one’s going to come between me and my happiness. This is the best I’ve been in years and I’m not going to let you come along and ruin it! Admit you burgled Janine’s and give back what you’ve stolen and we’ll call it quits.” Gary laughs in his face before pinning him up against the wall, “Remember I’m the older brother. I’m not going to be blackmailed. You’re one to talk, you’ve got just as many skeletons in your closet yet you’re acting like you’re a canonised saint. I don’t NEED to mess it up for you, you’ll do that all by yourself…” Gary goes to leave but dullag isn’t finished. Catching his breath, he says he’s going to find out what mess he ran away from as that’s what he does, makes a mess and leaves it for everyone else to clean up, “People wouldn’t believe you’re Chris Mark on DS, you’re so nasty and selfish in real life.” Gary warns him not to tell their mother about Emily or he’ll have more blood on his hands, “Also I don’t go around using my DS name like some saddo. It’s not real, big deal people don’t know that’s my forum name. What kind of name is dullagj2 anyway? I’m calling you by your real name from now on….” Dullag is left bereft.

Mormon Girl is giving it her all but Scrabbler is slightly ahead. Looking back, he sees her face and can’t face seeing her upset at the finish line, he turns the chair over as he turns the final corner falling dramatically to the ground. Sonia runs to help, being a nurse and all (yeah I swear she is, no really she is) but he tells her to get her fooking hands off him, followed by her best worried brow, confused, constipated look. Mormon Girl twirls around the finish line jumping for joy presented with flowers by Max screaming “I’m going to be EP! I’m going to be the new EastEnders EP!” Scrabbler smiles from the ground wondering how he’s going to tell her she ain’t getting her hands on his job. Elsewhere, vaslav’s sad face is glued to the window as he watches the fun from indoors afraid Bomani will be in attendance.

Bevis sees IanMandy and notices his melancholy face. Asking what’s up, IanM says his mother is smothering him and wants him to go back home with her when all this is over. Bevis lets him rest his head on his shoulder and says it’s good to have him back and he’s welcome to stay with them as long as he pleases, he can’t let his mother rule his life.

Mona informs vald of her worries hoping she’ll know what to do. Shirley and Mick continue to laugh as they get drunk on the punch. Vald says that he seems ok to her, Shirley’s not stupid enough to let him con her out of the pub. Mona’s suspicions are aroused when she sees Mick taking a phonecall while Shirl’s inside. She follows him and hears him saying, “It shouldn’t take much longer. Soon it’ll be ours!” Mona’s back falls against the pub, her head laying backwards she looks to the sky.

Tracey invites everyone indoors for the next event, “Shave, dye or wax” People have to sponsor someone £20 quid to either get their head shaved, dyed or get somewhere waxed. IanMandy is heading in when he gets a call from the psychiatrist to say they’re at his door but there’s no one in. He asks Bevis and dan to keep him a seat as he heads home. Seeing a woman like Emily outside Angie’s Den, IanMandy is struck by a flashback of their last encounter which sees him push her down the alley behind the club, out of sight of the CCTV spitting, “You’re poison and one day you’re going to cross the wrong person!”

Duff duff: IanMandy begins to weep and shake as it all becomes too much for him.

EPISODE SEVEN 57/74:

The episode opens with IanMandy in the alleyway, sweating ferociously we can see the terror in his eyes. He grips onto the wall whilst muttering incoherently, “I’m a killer…..that woman…..it was me!........what have I done?..... “ He slowly makes his way around to the flat. In a complete world of his own, the world seems to pass him by as he walks slowly towards the psychiatrist who is waiting patiently at his door.

Vald sees sorcha arrive in the pub for her shift, their eyes meet as she makes her way behind the bar. Priscilla says it’s good to have her back behind the bar and fills her in on what she’s missed. Sorcha puts £20 in the pot for Max to get his chest waxed quipping that she’ll do his crack if he wants. Shirley’s pick hair dye gets a mixed reaction, mona’s glasses fog up in shock.

The psychiatrist remarks IanM’s anxiety as his hand shakes trying to stick the key in the door. She begins to ask him questions but he just sits there mute. She continues to enquire him before asking him what’s wrong? IanM sits there, eyes glazed staring into space, “I think……I think…….I killed!” The psychiatrist calls the local GP around for a second opinion.

Phil tells Sharon that he just has to go for a biopsy on Monday. He assures her it’s nothing but Sharon remains concerned. He tells her to go on to the pub but whatever she does don’t come back with her head shaved, people will mistake her for Grant. On leaving the house, Sharon sees Evie sitting on the pavement outside the B&B with her mascara running. Across the Square, Toni is dressed to impress as she enters the doctor’s surgery for her interview.

Also tonight, Mick tells the other side of the phone that they can move in next week. Maurice struggles to mind Eddy on his own, he goes to call sorcha but stops at the last minute. Mormon Girl’s in tears when she realises she’s not going to be EP and her mum arrives to take her home, Scrabbler feels bad and goes home to drink alone. Vaslav watches him but doesn’t disturb him.

Sorcha wolf whistles as Max takes his top off whilst fanning herself. Vald is happy as the money continues to roll in and thanks sorcha for her support. Sorcha says she’s in a better place and knows that if she and los.kav had caught a glimpse of TK’s killer they’d have helped as much as they could to catch them. Vald asks about her baby saying she must drop something over for him. Sorcha smiles remembering she must text Maurice to see how he’s getting on.

Sharon sits down beside Evie inviting her to open up about her problems. Evie says she couldn’t have kids so adopting Ian was like a gift from god, “He was three at the time. His mother was/is bipolar and his dad walked out on them when he found out she was pregnant. I fell in love with him instantly. I’m the only mother he’s known. It broke my heart when he moved her to attend uni but you can’t wrap them up in cotton wool forever, they have to fly the nest at some stage. You just hope for the best but this, this is breaking my heart all over again” she weeps. Sharon tells her, “Even if you’re not here, I’ll always keep an eye out for him!”

IanMandy goes to speak but no sound comes out, his mouth continues to move. Lotty knocks on the door and the psychiatrist lets her in. IanM stutters before he says he wants his mum. IanM doesn’t recognise lotty and starts to get agitated. As she opens her doctor bag, he shouts for her to get away from him lifting his legs onto the sofa as if to make himself smaller so to feel safer. Lotty says she’ll go to get his mother, Ian says she should be at the B&B. The psychiatrist tries to calm him down. She says that they’re going to bring him back to the hospital and make him better. **Mandy tells him not to trust them**

Mona is furious when she finds out Mick was behind the dying of Shirl’s hair. She lambasts him for making her a laughing stock but Mick tells her to lighten up, it’s for a good cause. She says she knows his game to Mick’s amusement. Janine wonders where dullagj has gotten to, she goes home but he’s not there. The camera pans through the B&B to reveal dullag pouching in Gary’s bedroom, what will he find?

Evie rushes round when she hears the news. IanM is happy to see her and she cuddles him tightly. Evie asks what’s wrong, what’s happened, what’s got him in this state? Evie kisses his forehead before telling him that he stinks. IanM cries that he’s done something terrible. **Mandy tells him to stop talking** He continues to mutter. Evie looks at the psychiatrist asking what’s wrong with him. She says let’s just take him to the hospital and not cause him any more distress.

The quiz is about to start in the pub. Dan shows his competitive streak psyching up Bevis, blue and Sez to win. Zack’s at the next table with Lauren, klendathu and Priscilla and proceeds to taunt dan that the trophy will be theirs. Dan says he’s going down. Zack looks around for Toni but doesn’t see her. Vald asks for some hush as she gets the quiz underway.

Dullag continues to pouch through Gary’s room determined to find some dirt on him. When he uncovers Janine’s stolen jewellery next to it is a bracelet with Cindy encrusted on it. Dullag smirks and tidies up before he anyone catches him. On his way out, we see eyes peeking through the living room door, who seen him?

Mick goes upstairs to get some more food for the fundraiser when he spots Mona looking through his phone which was charging. Confronting her, she says she’s seen the messages and is going to tell Shirley everything. Mick professes his innocence saying she’s got the wrong end of the stick, is he lying?

The day’s events are over and los.kav takes the opportunity to thank everyone for supporting his new venture saying that this will be a massive help, “All my life I’ve wanted to be accepted for who I am. My own family shunned me which left me homeless and I turned to drink. **fights back tears** Today I felt the most accepted I ever have……….yous have no idea how much this means to me. Just want to say to all of you, be yourself and change for no one! Here’s to helping the homeless!” As the pub crowd drink to its success, clanging their glasses together, IanMandy, his mother and the psychiatrist gets into her car as they head to the psychiatric hospital. **silence prevails**

Dan looks at his trophy and the packed pub and sees it as the perfect opportunity. Getting down on one knee, he asks Bevis to marry him.

EPISODE EIGHT 58/74: It’s a Sunday, you need no longer worry about what they get up to on a Sunday.


Bevis looks at the ring on his finger as dan lies asleep beside him. He leaves him be wanting to make him breakfast in bed. Opening the adjacent bedroom door, he sees that IanMandy’s bed hasn’t been slept in but assumes that he stayed at the B&B with his mother. Bevis begins to whistle as he puts on the kettle and throws the bacon on the pan.

Scrabbler is taken aback to find vaslav in his silk kimono. A visibly angry Scrabbler tells him that he can’t go round helping himself to whatever he pleases and his clothes are strictly off limits. Vaslav repents saying that he told him to cover up, not his full he was blessed with such a big package. Scrabbler rolls his eyes and enters the bathroom sighing he’ll be late for his Sunday storylining meeting. Vaslav quips that someone’s forgotten to take their happy pills this morning. Scrabbler turns around.

Mona is alarmed to see Shirley hasn’t washed out the pink hair dye yet. Shirl tells her to keep her knickers on, it’ll take a while to wash out and she kind of likes it anyway. Shirley looks at her watch and notices the bags under mona’s eyes, “What are you doing round her this early?” she quanders. Mona, “It’s Mick, he’s planning to move his whole clan in here next week and take over the gaff….”

Dullagj sits in the Square Gardens pondering his next move. Holding Cindy’s bracelet in his hand, he stares at the Beale house. Evie storms past him and heads for the market.

Across the Square, Toni has to go for her interview again having had it cancelled yesterday. She notices Lauren looking out Zack’s flat window and enters the surgery. Ian sees Lucy and David on the market talking as he enters the café. Lucy says it’s all over Mates Gate that IanMandy has been admitted to a mental hospital with schizophrenia. David looks like he’s been hit in the gut. Making their way to the car lot he asks if she remembers Joe but she doesn’t. “No, you wouldn’t. You were only little then” David replies before swiftly turning the conversation back onto business.

Evie knocks repeatedly on dan’s door. On hearing it, dan says to Bevis to check who it is, it might be RedHood. Bevis knows that he’s seeing to that and just answers it anyway. Evie storms past him into the living room. As dan enters the living room with his dirty breakfast plate, Evie demands answers “I want to know what happened my son.” A bewildered Dan looks at Bevis.

Dullagj sees Cindy going into the Minute Mart and approaches her. He says he’s found something belonging to her but before he shows it to her, she has to promise not to go mad at him, “I found this in my brother’s possession. Don’t tell him who gave it to you!” dj demands. Cindy gasps as he produces the bracelet, “I’ve been looking for that everywhere. I thought IanMandy took it.”

Shirley laughs telling mona he’s moving to the Square with his family next week. They’ve both the house next door to the Brannings. Mona’s defiant, “But…but…I heard him, I’ve seen the texts. I’ve seen the looks.” Shirley asks if she wants a coke to calm herself down before assuring her that Mick is genuine, “He’s going to help me run the place and I was thinking you could move in and keep me company. No use having this big place all to myself.” Mona is gobsmacked.

Evie fills them in on yesterday’s events, “How did my son get like this? People his age don’t get mental health problems. He thinks he killed someone, has he been seeing someone?” Dan makes the tea while Bevis tries his best to answer Evie’s questions. When she leaves, Bevis breaks down saying it’s all their fault, “IanMandy has got like this because he thinks he killed Emily. It’s all our fault!” Dan tries to make him see that’s only a minor part, “He’s ill. I heard him talking to himself many times as have others. What about the Jake incident? Is that our fault too?” Bevis remains convinced.

Vaslav apologises to Scrabbler who is giving him the silent treatment, “I’m sorry. I just stumbled across them. It was inevitable really, nothing to be ashamed about.” Scrabbler holds back the tears as he recounts the time he tried to stay off them, “I’ve been on them more or less since the car accident. Los.kav wakes up at midday, worn out after yesterday. Vald informs him that there’s one more surprise for him. She’s booked them a trip to Florida before the opening and he has enough to get surgery done, “No more binding!” vald smiles. Los.kav says that money is for his homeless shelter but vald reassures him that they’re only dipping into it as she’s using some of her savings. Los hugs her before stating, “I’m not getting a dick though. I don’t want a dick.” Vald laughs before getting out the baby grows, bibs and vests that she purchased for Little Eddy.

Dullagj watches from Janine’s as Cindy goes over to the B&B to confront Gary aka Chris Mark. The camera then pans indoors to the living room where Kim is lying across his lap while he strokes her hair. Cindy says she knows he stole her £10k on Christmas Day. Gary laughs saying he doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Cindy then produces the bracelet.

Dullag walks towards the B&B trying to earwig on the confrontation. Evie makes her way back in. David sees her and gives her a sympathetic look. Toni is returning from her interview and sees dullag, “I saw you…in there…yesterday. *points at B&B* Don’t worry I won’t say nothing.” Dullag says he has nothing to hide but she’d be best staying away from Gary, he’s bad news!”

As Cindy leaves the B&B, dullag can hear Kim shouting, “Is it true? Is it true?” She pushes Gary out the door before going to his room and throwing his belongings out the window, “This is probably all stolen too. I ain’t having no thief living under my roof. We’re done, finished!" she squeals. Dullagj watches on, Cindy smiles from the Beale garden.

Duff duff: Gary lies on the ground surrounded by his stuff.

EPISODE NINE 59/74:

Dullagj and Gary butt heads again as Gary tries to pick his stuff up off the ground and bag it into a bin liner. Gary accuses him of being behind this but dullagj plays the innocent saying Cindy told him everything, “How did you spend £10k in 4 months? Uh? Cos there’s no way you spent it all searching for Emily. What progress did that private investigator even make?” Gary cries that family should stick together. “Yeah like when you all shunned me for doing heroin!” dullag laughs, “Oh and I’ve advised Cindy to tell Ian about the money so if I was you, I’d go back and live with mum and Kitty. I’m sure she’ll welcome you back like the prodigal son.” Gary says he can’t but won’t say why. Dullag walks off. He stops as if to turn back but doesn’t and continues walking.

Inside Evie is comforting a crying Kim, “Another failed relationship. I’m a walking disaster. I thought my sister had a bad track record” she weeps. Gary walks in begging her to let him explain but she screams for him to go away, mascara covering her cheeks. Gary spits, “Fine, you’re like a walking knocking shop anyway with your t!ts hanging out and skyscraper heels.” As Gary turns to leave he’s greeted by Denise.

Denise asks Kim if it’s true that her boyfriend is the one who robbed the Beale house. Kim whimpers. Denise pins Gary up against the wall demanding him to give back everything he stole or she’ll call the police, some of her jewellery was sentimental. Gary pouches through what he has left and hands it over. Denise cries as he gives back her grandmother’s ring. He says he pawned the rest and leaves.

Ian is angry with Cindy for stealing Phil’s money on the camping trip but even angrier that she still didn’t mention it when the house was burgled and it was taken. He then remembers how he treated IanMandy and feels guilty. Cindy whispers that she also stole from Ian’s wallet that time because she thought IanMandy was the mystery robber. Ian threatens to ring Gina to collect her if she steps out of line again.

Also tonight, Scrabbler’s fuming at vaslav for clearing out his drink’s cabinet, he can’t confront him though as he spends all night in the bathroom preening himself. F1Ken’s wife has locked him in the garden shed again and nicnacs worries when she doesn’t hear from him. O…O and Keyser move into the flat above the chippie. Los.kav researches the clinic he’s due to fly out to tomorrow. Mo(hammad) Mouse injects laxative into his apples, hoping to find who’s thieving from his apple tree.

Mick is amused when mona enters the pub gasping for air like she’s about to go on a camping trip. She asks Mick to take her stuff upstairs. Mona laughs that she didn’t realise she had so much stuff and shouts over to Tracey to get her a drink. Upstairs, Mick asks Shirley if she’s sure this is a good idea but Shirley replies that she spends most of her time here anyway. Across the Square, Zack knocks on Dot’s door.

As Gary sits on Arthur’s bench with nowhere to go, he rings his aunt Kitty but she doesn’t answer. In Janine’s, dullagj says he feels awful for betraying his brother “Kim’s thrown him out and the Beales are out for his blood.” Janine says he got his just desserts for all his thieving. Dullag says that he has nowhere to go, “I don’t know what he did before he came here but it must be bad if mum has rejected him. He was always her golden boy.” There’s a knock on the door. Dullag says to leave it, it’s probably just Gary but when Janine pulls back the blind, she sees that it’s Scrabbler…

Blue’s left to collect the glasses since mona is otherwise engaged. When she sees David, she tries not to stare but can’t help it. Her eyes follow him in awe as he walks past her eating a sandwich with his clip clop shoes. Shirley’s heading to Zack’s to get more stuff and says “I would” to blue, blue replies “Hell yeah!” whilst fanning herself. Sharon points out the Beale house to Evie as Lucy returns for lunch. Entering Evie asks Ian if she can ask him some questions about IanMandy who he employs.

Dot asks Zack if he’d like some battenburg but he says he’s on a flying visit. He runs up the stairs to klen who is still lying on Poppy’s bed. Zack says he has a proposition for him, “How do you fancy being my new flatmate?” Klendathu is speechless but says he can’t abandon Dorothy. Zack says that he can’t continue living like this, he needs to get back out there. Klen sighs that he goes to work every day, “What more do you expect?.... I’m not in the mood for partying. I went to that quiz yesterday, didn’t I?” Zack remains determined stating that as long as he stays here, he’ll never get over Poppy.

Scrabbler asks dullag if he can use his loo as vaslav has been in the bathroom for hours. Dullag laughs until he notices Gary sitting on the bench across the way. When he comes back down the stairs, dullag asks if he can ask him a question. Scrabbler says fire away. “You said Gary was working as your bodyguard when he was stalking you, didn’t you? When exactly did you hire him?” Scrabbler ponders before stating that it was dan’s housewarming party, “I wasn’t going to go to that alone!” he laughs. They thank each other as Scrabbler leaves.

Evie asks Ian if he noticed any strange behaviour. Ian assures her he was a great waiter but him and Jake didn’t exactly see eye to eye. Lucy mutters that he lived with them for a while but Ian threw him out. Ian gives Lucy a devil stare before explaining to Evie that it was a misunderstanding and he was only meant to stay a while after his suicide attempt, “I didn’t want him holed up in them block of flats on his own in that mental state.” Evie’s shocked, unaware that he tried to take his own life also having had no idea where he was living. She begins to weep believing she’s let him down.

Klen sits down beside Dot. She begins to natter away. Klen looks for the right moment to tell her but doesn’t find it. As she goes to light another fag, klen just comes out with it and says he’s moving in with Zack. Dot tries to remain unfazed saying that she won’t miss clearing up his mess. But the sadness is visible in her eyes as klen leaves with his stuff. Gary sees all the house swapping and knocks on Dot’s door asking if she has a room for the night. Dot recognises him from the Laundrette, “Oh! You’re that boy what lost his sister.” Gary laughs as she takes him in, “It’s like blaming house swap around here today” Gary laughs. Dot tells him to make himself at home, she’s just about to stick the kettle on.

Mona and Shirl drink to being housemates with Mick looking on. O…O and Keyser arrive in for a drink hoping to get to know the locals. They’re amused to see the landlady has pink hair, “Oh look, its Pinky and the brain” O…O quips looking at Shirley and mona. Mick whispers to Shirl that she can’t replace Carly with mona but Shirley’s had enough and says she was hoping he’d move in but seen as he bought a house instead, she’s asked mona “I’m tired of living alone!” she cries.

Dullag enters the living room telling Janine that Gary arrived on the Square the day Emily was last seen alive, “I think Gary killed Emily!”

Duff duff: Dullagj steals the duff duff.

EPISODE TEN 60/74:

It’s early morning but Dullagj is up and about unable to sleep after yesterday’s events. Janine says she’ll hire her own private detective to work on the case wanting to put his mind at rest. Dullag kisses her and starts searching the web on her laptop to see what he can find. Janine has to dash but says they can sort it all out later.

The sleepless nights are taking their toll on sorcha and maurice. Sorcha states its at times like these she wished their families lived nearby to give them a break. Maurice sighs that she gets a break when she goes to work, doesn’t she. Sorcha looks at him funny, surprised at him she replies “That doesn’t really count, does it? One of us has to earn a wage. I’m not stopping you from going out and finding a job. There’s no point paying for childcare when you’re sat at home.” Maurice leaves the room. Sticking the kettle on, he watches the water boil. Sorcha is grateful when vald pops round with some clothes for the baby before she heads to Florida.

Phil tries to hide his anxiety at the breakfast table as he prepares for his biopsy afraid at what may lie ahead. It doesn’t help that Denny is acting up not wanting to go to school. Sharon reminds him that that’s what the old Denny used to do. Denny replies that the old Denny used to say f*ck, “I don’t say f*ck anymore, do I? Cos f*ck is a bad word although Jay said f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck last week when he banged his toe.” Sharon despairs as she goes to leave him to school, kissing Phil she tells him she’ll be back to accompany him to the hospital. Phil only takes a bite of his toast and leaves the table. Jay takes advantage whilst leaving for work grabbing two of his uneaten slices.

Dan and Bevis are setting up their stalls on the market. Bianca screeches to Peter, “Is it true that that Gary fella robbed your ‘ouse?” Dan’s ears are burning but he’s busy with customers although he still gets the jist of the conversation. Morgan scribbles out the ‘c’ on his coffee to make it ‘Pat Coffee.’ He shows his mum but she’s not happy he’s had coffee before school and shouts at dan not to give her kids coffee. Bevis quips that Foghorn needs a muzzle. With the house out of coffee, Maurice uses the excuse to get some fresh air. He asks dan if Pact gives you wings as he’d like to fly away right now. Dan laughs but he isn’t joking.

Also tonight, Mo Mouse finds revenge sweet when he sees his sunbathing neighbours constantly running to the loo. Vaslav waits until Scrabbler goes to work to get up but still can’t face leaving the house. O…O goes to Ronnie’s the ogle the men working out, HeathyHeath hits on her but is put off when she says she’s in an open relationship. IanMandy receives ECT.

Dan continues to try and entice people to taste Pact Coffee, “The future is bright, the future is Pact Coffee. One cup and you’ll never look back. You’ll wonder where Pact has been all your life!” Dan tells Bevis they might be branching out to in a couple of weeks if all goes well, “The stall on Spring Lane sells Pact Muffs with their coffees for £1.50.” Bevis jokes that Pact has gone to his brain. Ian isn’t happy and warns that it’s only a matter of time before he gets the stall closed down, dan shouts that he really is a weasel and taunts him, “Forget Maxwell House, Forget Costa Fortune, Forget Starb*llocks. Pact is the coffee for you!” Bevis says, “That’s it, you’re going to have to go topless to get more customers!...”

Maurice rushes back with his Pact Coffee. Sorcha frantically watches the clock not wanting to be late for Mick. Sorcha berates him for buying that cheap muck saying he should’ve got some coffee beans in the Minute Mart. Sorcha rushes off donning her red lippy. Maurice goes to grab hold of her buns of steel but she tells him to get off, she’s late as it is. Bored in the house, Maurice decides to take Eddy for a walk.

Sharon and Phil hop into the Range Rover. Sharon notices that he’s still very quiet in himself and tells him to stop thinking the worst, it’s just procedure. Phil can’t help but worry. Over at Dot’s, Gary looks at the jobs page as Dot tries to learn about his past. She sympathises with his family tragedies, recounting her own too “My Nick was addicted to heroin too!”

Dullag thinks he’s found the perfect detective and texts Janine his details. Over at Zack’s, klen says he didn’t realise Lauren would be staying over too stating that he feels like a gooseberry. Zack states that she doesn’t stay over every night, “Sorry if we kept you up last night.” Zack proceeds to thoroughly wipe down everything with Dettol.

Sorcha asks mona how her first night staying at the ‘Shirley Gutter’ was. Mona laughs that it was a bit surreal but Mick is still kipping there until next week, then it’ll be just the two of them. Sorcha goes all red when Mick walks into the bar. He leaves as the brewery arrive with the barrels. Sorcha remarks to mona, “Wow at that package.” Mona says Masood left it for Mick. Sorcha laughs.

Kim’s on the market talking to Kat. Dan asks her if he can interest her in some Pact Coffee. She asks if it’ll mend her broken heart. Dan assures her it has many powers, some say it’s an aphrodisiac. Kim cries that she’s done with men, her last is a thieving liar who has moved onto OAP’s. Dan looks confused. Kim informs him that Gary has moved in with Dot to dan’s dismay.

Gary notices Dot’s doggy doorstop in her living room. Dot tells him that that Masmood Boy gave it to her, it reminds her of her friend, Pauline, who had a similar one. Elsewhere, Zack’s going to the shops for more cleaning products when he sees Toni sitting outside the surgery. He approaches her to see if she’s alright, she cries that she didn’t get the job. Zack assures her there’ll be others but it’s no consolation. Toni states that she won’t even be able to afford to celebrate her birthday next week.

Maurice can’t get Eddy to stop crying and locks himself in the bathroom. The crying is continuous and loud. He begs him to stop crying, “please stop crying.” When he doesn’t, he opens the door and goes into the nursery. He tries to soothe him by bouncing him up and down but it doesn’t work so he proceeds to shout, “Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!”

Duff duff: A weeping Maurice stands at the top of the stairs with a crying baby Eddy.
