Great final day for the Brits after claiming no fewer than 3 titles. OK, the elimination race isn't usually held as a standalone event; even so, 6 golds and 3 bronzes (including the non-Olympic events) is still a respectable haul.

Whilst some world champions were on the track today, another was producing a demonstration on the roads as Vasil Kiryienka took his first win in the stripes at the CdN; Bialoblocki did himself justice in the Polish colours with second place and James McLaughlin got himself into the top ten.

Amongst the ladies, Tatiana Antoshina took the win; Emma Pooley and Hayley Simmonds finished in sixth and eighth place respectively.

Well done the organisers! Probably will be a bit more behind the scenes stuff on Sky.

Tour de France 2016 Route presentation tomorrow morning 10:30 on Eurosport. Always one of those embarrassingly showbizzy occasions.

It's the kind of thing I would have watched at one time along with Team Presentations before the grand tours........but life's too short !

I've turned the telly on but doesn't look like this will be on SS2 as they're showing a live Spanish football match

According to Radio Times the cycling is due to be on Sky Sports 1 tomorrow night........let's see if that happens !

I can't really get into Madisons......they're pretty dull races and impossible to follow on TV

In fact the double hander elimination races are a lot less watchable then normal elimination races as well

To be honest I'm not taken with this 6 Day Racing..........all that damn racket as well

Tour de France presentation this morning - plenty of long boring speeches from local mayors. I lasted five minutes. Anyway, here's the route. Froome is confident.

Looks a fairly typical course.

the only thing that jumps out to me is the final approach to Paris on the last day......coming in from the North rather than the usual south-east or south-west

London Six-Day continues on Eurosport. It seemed a bit flat on Monday but it looks like the crowds are getting to grips with it now, plenty of people both in the stands and corporate hospitality bit in the pits.

It hasn't been shown on Sky Sports at all despite it appearing in the TV schedule in the Radio Times for every night this week

I guess they must have dumped it after the RT was published

I've given up on it now.........I just find it really boring.......

Great finish to the London 6-day, with young British debutants Latham / Wood almost beating Belgian veterans Ketele / De Pauw in front of a capacity crowd. Literally came down to the final sprint of the 35th race of the week. Hopefully the event will be secure on the calendar for a while.

So the Revolution meeting is on live on Eurosport tonight (6.45 kick off)

I've never seen any of these as they're usually just recorded highlights some time after the event which wouldn't tempt me to watch

So I've no idea what to expect.........I've always assumed them to be some sort of Kerry Packer style circus as a showbiz privatised alternative to World Cup meetings.......

But I've read (on here) that UCI Olympic qualifying points are available tonight so I guess it might suddenly become a bit more serious and watchable.....

Anyway......as Saturday night is the TV equivalent of the Sahara Desert I'll certainly be tuning in........

It's a combination. Some events are formal races in the classic Olympic disciplines, others are fun events, there are junior races etc. Riders are competing for trade teams as well as national teams, there is an over-arching season long competition. Usually attracts international riders as well.

I quite enjoyed the Revolution event........it was a damn sight more watchable than the 6 day

Three more events to come over the next 3 months and all scheduled to be live on Eurosport

Viviani did well in the two events that carried UCI points.........he was also interviewed in English and reminded me of Ossie Ardiles......

Trotty won the Elimination race as she always seems

It was good to see lots of young British riders ........there seems to a good number coming through though it's difficult to gauge how good they are from an event like this

And absolutely the last, final and ultimate road race of the season, the Saitama Criterion in two weeks time.
It's the season that refuses to die! After confidently asserting that road cycling was over for the year, there is still another race to come, this time a full 9-dayer. The Tour of Taihu Lake from China starts this weekend, replacing and extending the classic old late-lamented (ie started about 5 years ago) Tour of Beijing. Taihu Lake sounds a bit cleaner than notoriously smog-bound Beijing.. It's been going for a while, but seems to have to been a pretty low-grade race for Asian and antipodean domestic teams. All live on Eurosport starting on Saturday.

It's all go action for our track riders, all the big names are going to the first World Cup in Cali, Colombia this weekend.

No sign of TV coverage, usually the UCI produce a live session on the last day for YouTube which picks up all the highlights of the meet.

I think I'll give that one a miss......it's on at 5AM !........

There's a Rabobank Development team and the Southeast Team who I think got an invite to the Giro ?......other than that none of the teams or riders mean anything to me

It looks a very low level event

Eurosport are probably running it as a kind of glorified infomercial; like the Tour of Azerbaijan where all the commentators etc are given comp flights & hotels by the organisers. There's not much else on at the moment in the annual gap between summer sports ending and winter ones beginning.

According to Google Maps there's a Taihu Lake near Shanghai so I guess that's where it is. (FWIW there's also another one in the middle of China.)

Not a good night for the Brits in Colombia - only medal was a bronze in the women's team pursuit after Elinor Barker got ill, and the team had to ride the whole race as a trio. Men's team pursuit only fifth! Probably illness as well, that's well down on a fortnight ago. Sprint teams rubbish again.

Final results were one gold - Laura Trott in the omnium as usual - Andy Tennant silver in the non-Olympic Individual pursuit and bronze for the women's team pursuit.

Well, the Tour of Taihu Lake has been pretty dull so far with pancake flat stages, wide boulevards to ride on and everything seemingly taking place in ghost towns after a zombie apocalypse. Things might look up tomorrow with our first mountain stage, though.
