Think we are in for annoying weekend, the two decisive mountain stages on Saturday and Sunday will also be tennis-affected.

Tour of Switzerland is supposed to be live on Sunday followed by Dauphine, all be it not being live.

As it turned out there was still 60K to go when the cycling came on at 3pm......so I don't think it was ever going to start at 1pm as printed in the Radio Times

Someone had a spectacular collision with a concrete wall just before the stage finish

........and there was a split in the peloton at the finish with Froome in the front group getting 9 seconds on Contador and Porte. He now goes into 2nd just 4 seconds behind Bertie. It looks as though it's a deliberate tactic by Sky to keep Froome just behind the sprint lead outs in case there's a split

Good finish today, if you want to look out for the highlights. Sets up two big days for the weekend.

Richie Porte's performance and response after the stage was cringe-worthy. They rightly laid into him on the ITV4 highlights. https://twitter.com/richie_porte/sta...37634639904768

Reminded me of the time, years ago when Riis caught Basso consulting Armstrong. The DS instantly sensed the deference meant any challenge was psychologically a lost cause.

Contador seemed to have problems with his form yesterday. An experienced rider like him does not let those gaps open even for a handful of seconds. He sounded quite rattled immediately after today's stage.

After watching the ES and ITV highlights today, I will definitely be listening to the latter's live commentary team tomorrow.

The officials were having trouble deciding who won Stage 7 of the TdK.

They initially gave it to Kristian House, then changed their minds and said it was Brad Evans...before eventually declaring the result a dead heat! Just after 10am, organisers published the rationale for that decision on Twitter.

That's 4 stage wins for OPC in the past week, with one more to come tomorrow.

Its a shame there are no live pictures from then Dauphine until 3.20 today, sounds quite exciting so far with Contador attacking and Aru on a counter attack.

Last ticker update said Contador was reunited with Froome.

ITV4 coverage underway, but all blethering at the mo. Presumably the ASO air force are grounded, as usual.

Tour de Suisse prologue live on Eurosport Player at the moment. No commentary, which is not ideal for a time trial.

Good news live pics on France 3, so plane is up

Off we go on ITV4, 35.5km to go, which is a bit pathetic for the big stage of the race. Two first cat climbs to come. Eurosport has a tennis match, which looks like it's settling in for the long haul, so thank the lord for ITV.

The Tour de Suisse is only available live online. Velon have live tracking data on their website for the Stage 1 ITT. Thomas is one of today's selected riders. http://www.velon.cc/en/races/2016/1f...de-suisse-2016

You can stream it live here http://www.streaming-hub.com/lequipe-21-live/ I decided to concentrate on the Dauphine, will watch the highlights later

Kicking off now, Landa & Henao piling on the coals for Froome, Bardet off on his own in a bid for either the yellow jersey or the day or both.

Better to stick to the official sites via Steephill or Cyclingfans. The link wants me to disable my pop up ad-blocker.

Bardet is looking good, think the stage is his.

That link is from steephill, works for me with Adblock Latitude. You might want to add the adblock warning list

Sky taking a bit of a risk here, they'll have to put in a move soon.

Not as dramatic as yesterday, but interesting all the same. Froome clearly has Contador and Porte where he wants them, and Adam Yates continues to show promise against the big names.

You feel sorry for the French riders at moments like this, constantly hassled by the press about their prospects for the Tour.

Bardet got the tactically wrong, he was never going to win a sprint with Pinot and could have took 2nd is he didnt play cat and mouse

Pinot and Bardet dodging the manhole covers and potholes on the finishing straight. Bardet's consolation is he is now on the podium.

It was for everyone else to attack the yellow jersey but Sky set the pace strong enough to contain the threat.

After a lousy 2016 classics, EQS is clocking up regular success in Tours.

On TdSuisse, the live telemetry on the Velon site was all flashing lights with little context without continuous video and comparable data.

Well done the old geezer, a great win in very tricky conditions.

Alex Dowsett grounding his pedal going into a turn in the TdSuisse https://youtu.be/m5HVc0_eHBA?t=13s

Could have been serious if he had landed on the kerb.

Contrary to what I said before I see the Dauphine is on live on Eurosport at 12.45, which is when live pictures are due to start, not sure if I missed it or they changed the EPG

Off we go in the Dauphine on ITV4 - Steve Cummings is off on a solo break at the moment, 46k to go, 3:41 of a lead so it could be dramatic.

Eurosport seem to have technical difficulties, since they are showing Watts instead of the Dauphine, glad ITV4 have it on
