Weird situation at the moment. Hundred k to go, and everyone chatting as if it was the roll out on the final day. Fonseca on his own at the front looks as if he'd like to be back socialising so he's waiting for them but he's still increasing his gap. And Tommy Voeckler's found he can't go slow enough to stay at the back and finds himself up front. Weird.

Thanks for the warning....goes to mobile phone, sets extra recording time on Tivo app. Nothing worse than getting home and getting that sickening feeling mid-dinner that your recording is going to run out with 800m to go.

It's Rob Hatch and Rob Hales doing the radio commentary

Rob Hatch is pretty good when he does races on Eurosport

Quite some names in the ITV4 box, today. Robbie McEwen, now, and the time he won a cow.

Woohoo!!! Great win, Cav! And a great job from Boassen Hagen as well, delivered him to just the right place. Another good run from Froome, thought he might have earned himself a wee gap there, but the refs were generous. Daniel McLay 9th again

Don't forget Cav's final leadout men, Renshaw followed by Greipel!

Following the decision by Rabobank to end all sponsorship of pro cycling after this season, one wonders what would happen to RaboLiv.

Seeing as Boels have signed Anna van der Breggen for 2017/18, the future of RaboLiv seems to be in jeopardy.

Kittel takes today's stage - only just - ahead of Coquard; Sagan (3rd) made top-5 again.

The margin between 1st and 2nd in today's stage was even smaller than yesterday!!

McLay got 7th, just ahead of Cav in 8th.

Today's action wasn't limited to the roads.

Here's a picture of that photofinish.

Too bad for Cav, just got himself boxed to the wall at a couple of crucial moments. Still, even at his absolute peak he only converted 50% of his chances, so plenty of reason for optimism for next week, if he wants to stick around.

Didi the Devil spotted at the Tour of Austria! Seems to have some kind of semi-official status.

Weird things going on in the Tour, breakaway group has been gifted well over 14 minutes with just 70K to go. They're surely going to hang on, and Greg van Avermaat will get yellow.

Gap just dips under 12 minutes with 40K to go...........now another 30 seconds gone since I started posting this

It's falling pretty quickly but there's still some fair downhill section where the breakaway might stabilise the gap

Nibbali falls off early, he usually gets back on the descents but that's not a good sign for the battle of egos with Aru.

Now, pay close attention to the graphics, Carlton!

Think David Millar's right, once again Movistar have endangered Quintana's chances by working for Valverde. He's vulnerable to a sky attack again. van Avermaet goes on his own.

There's another jersey battle going on just now - Adam Yates v Julian Alaphillipe for the White.

And on the subject of unwelcome cycling prizes....stage winners on the Tour of Austria are being given a gigantic salami. (and I mean huge, almost as tall as your typical climber)

After several day of watching highlights of ITV4 I have concluded that I don't like Boulting and Millar. Boulting babbles on too much and not always very clearly - as though commentating on a horses race. Anyway, I am sticking it out for the scenery but the commentary is far too muddled and lacklustre.

Looks like rolling country today........traditionally a day for the breakaway but with a 30K flat run in and no really difficult climbs I think the sprinters teams will fancy this

Should be a good day for BMC........keep any breakaway within reason then sit back and let the sprinters teams reel 'em in

As for telly I much prefer Ned and David to Phil and Paul who I never liked anyway.......but watching live I just switch channels when the ads come on until the ads come on the next channel then switch back. Oh and of course I switch to ITV4 when ES are interrupting coverage for an 'interesting pre-recorded feature'......
