I thought Vardy was wearing that blue wrist bandage to hide a dodgy tattoo or something.

Lineker famously did the same in the '86 World Cup. Wore a cast, not hid a dodgy tattoo.
Is that the tournament he pooped his pants too?

I was thinking yesterday when Froome was initially down a couple of minutes at the end that he'd have a good chance today to make it back up. So it would have kept it closer if they'd not adjusted the times.

Would also have prevented all the boos when Froome was re-collecting yellow on the podium. What was that all about?
The French hate both Sky and Froome. They do not think that Sky's performance's are legitimate, especially Froome's.

Unfortunately one of the most vocal has been France TVs Theirry Adam, who didnt seem happy yesterday at Froome being given the benefit of the decision, he dose seem to have an hatred of Froome.

Dumoulin beat Froome just now, puts Froome in a strong position to win the Tour.

One of these two will win the Gold in Rio , my money is on Dumoulin based on todays time trial. He was 1.03 minutes in front of Froome

Thomas (7th) and Cummings (10th) also made the top-10 in today's ITT - that's excellent depth.

Yates put in a very good ride for 18th, which tightens his grip on the white jersey. The way things are going, he could be top-5 in the GC come Paris.

It would be great to have two British riders in two jerseys come the end of the tour, I so hope that happens.

Looks like Quintana's challenge is over. Valverde's not that far behind him now either so unlikely to give wholehearted support. In fact I think he looked stronger than Quintana yesterday. Quintana nearly 3 minutes down on Chris who's sure to put more time into him in the next TT so Quintana probably needs to find around 4 minutes in the Alps. Barring an injury to Chris I can't see it happening.

Froome just did enough today. He already has a road stage win and there's another TT before Paris. I wouldn't bet against him for Rio - I think everything about 2012 still rankles him.

Hmm coming second in a stage is just doing enough.

Alaphilippe not heading for a comfy landing today: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH5K0IJj6uN/

Hospital photo shows only a plaster on his thumb.

Theuns of Trek-Segafredo was less lucky with a cracked vertebrae needing surgery after being blown off the road by a gust.

Predicted wind speed and direction for today's stage: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CnezjkqXEAQUDn-.jpg

Peloton, understandably, not in the mood for racing with the first hour averaging just 30kph.

Big long straight finish today - you can see the 1km spider from the finishing line.

If the stage keeps going at the current pace, they finish around 5:20pm.

ITV4 has decided the live cycling is too boring. At least there are other options.

Had to laugh at yet another attempt by Dave Brailsford to tap up Adam Yates during that interview.

Just wondering how a Parc des Oiseaux guarantees that all the oiseaux stay within the parc, rather than taking wing for more congenial parts. (OK, penguins I can understand)

Cav gets the win, Kittel moaning!

Kittel;'s own dumb fault, I reckon, once again he served as Cav's lead out man.

Just shows how important tactical awareness is, Kittel used to beat him every time, but Cav's just got him worked out now.

I think Carlton said they have their wings clipped. A bit like Cav's done to Kittel.

He did say that but later on had to admit he was wrong.........the birds are just born there and grow up there and it's their home.......

On a smaller scale we have lots of ducks in Regent's Park near me but they don't all fly away........it's where they live !

Some oiseaux decided to leave, but held another referendum and changed their minds.
