Saxo have come to the front and are taking up the pulling

Lovely jubbly for Froome and his team...............

I wonder if there someone up the road who Contador thinks is a danger to his 2nd place ?
No, it's about the team competition - no-one up the road is within half an hour of the leaders.

Saxo have baffled me all this tour to be honest. They have had 1 good day. They missed their chance to attack Sky, then Movistar got involved and that was that.

He's scared of Quintana and Rodriguez. They will lose him on the final climb today, and they defiantly will on the final climb tomorrow.

Anyway... Has anyone seen the power data Sky have released? apparently it was released to the French press yesterday, and they have agreed that it all looks normal.

Anyone here seen it.... What do you think?

Can't understand any of this power data stuff... It's all numbers and gibberish to me!

Froome s power was given out for many races this and last year. They are satisfied that he hasnt "suddenly " increased any output so his performance is compliant with his past performances.

Power output is in Wattage. That is the amount of force they apply to the pedals as they push/ pull through the crank. Froome is about 400 watts, scottish TT winner is about 334 watts, I am a dim 9 watt torch bulb LOL

Dont know why , but im getting worried about Chris Froome. He doesnt look comfortable, has dropped back in the peleton a few times and doesnt seem to be " sparky" .

Sky released it to L'Equipe on the basis that they could not publish it or share it with anyone other than an expert, and they could report that expert's findings. The data won't be released publicly.

He and Quintana went for a tinkle.... Movistar/Sky alliance still strong!

So, it will be leaked then... Stuff like this always leaks.

I think you are wrong - he went back to talk to the team car/collect supplies the first time, then to answer a call of nature. And considering Quintana did the same, and no-one's helping Saxo on the front, it's no cause for concern at all. Plus Froome has managed to get lots of food supplies today, which will help. I'm not quite sure how you think he looks uncomfortable - he looks no different to how he's done every day riding in the peleton, despite already having been over two massive climbs!

Froome's still got every single one of his teammates with him (that in itself shows how brilliant Sky's pacemaking has been today), so he's in a pretty decent position right now. Two of Quintana's teammates are about 9 minutes up the road from him, which is too big a gap at the minute to be of any use!

He's only got 3 men to be worried about - Quintana, Rodriguez and Contador - and the latter of those hasn't stayed with him on any big climb late in a stage this year. The first two are now too close together on GC to want to work together. It's almost inevitable that Quintana and Rodriguez will attack, but all Froome has to do is stay within a couple of minutes of them, and Porte will pace him to that.

@fredgrappe
Ai-je une seule fois évoqué le fait qu'il n'est pas dopé ? Les données analysées ne permet pas de le dire. Je dois rester très honnête...

@fredgrappe
La question qu'il faut davantage se poser c'est plutôt de savoir quel était son profil avant 2011 ? Et là, je n'en sait rien...

Translation?
"Have I said one single time that he is not doped? The data analysed do not suffice to reach that conclusion. I must be very honest...

...The question we must ask is: what was his profile before 2011? And I know nothing of that..."

I doubt it. We're talking about a French publication and they take breach of confindence/privacy issues VERY seriously there.

Wow, I'm surprised it's taken them that long to come up with that Some people really won't stop until they find some way of giving their argument a shred of credibility. I think they'll be waiting forever for that.

Yes, I mean, to be fair to the doctor, he was getting attacked by the conspiracy theorists left, right and centre for simply pointing out that there was nothing unusual about Froome's data: no sudden power gains or drops, no significant changes in weight, etc. Quite rightly, he's having to point out that there's no way he can say Froome has never doped. Sad. That lot will never be satisfied.

Saxo still pounding away on the front.................and Sky riders are dropping off the back on the climb

It's up and down for the remainder of the day so they might get back on again

Quite a long descent off the last climb.............I wonder if Contador is planning to have another go on the downhill ?

Absouloutly LOVED that white bike on a zipwire .....

The creativity of the people on route is an art in itself.

Pure french class.

and then you get the nooobheads at the top of Alp de Heuz .

Great to recognise / seeing those two girls flag waving on top of the split screen VW campervan at every stage since start ....

...just realised how much TV time ibe spent watching the Tour ..

It seems very strange to be sitting here in basking hot sunshine, and watching lightning and heavy rain, usually it is the other way round!
