Dave Brailsford and Shane Sutton are amongst witnesses scheduled to appear before the DCMS Select Committee tomorrow as part of their investigation into Doping In Sport
It's thought they will be questioned on Team Sky's use of TUEs and the alleged suspicious packages delivered to riders during the Tour Scheduled start 11.15 and it will be available live on the Parliament website.......... http://www.parliamentlive.tv/Committees |

Speaking of packages...either someone hacked into Wiggo's instagram account, or the man himself is taking the piss...

The UCI say the Tours of Qatar (M&F)are cancelled due to lack of funds: https://twitter.com/UCI_media/status/814018779705380864
Surprising move after hosting the Road World's this year and the wealth in Doha. Though there was a fair amount of criticism about the heat and the lack of roadside crowds. I suspect it is unlikely to be missed by cycling fans. Or, some riders: http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-n...y-worlds-team/ |

Sir Bradley Wiggins has announced his retirement.
I will never forget those couple of days in 2012, where he won the Tour, then went to London and won the gold medal! Thanks for the memories. |

Happy retirement Sir Wiggo !
Be interesting to see what he des next. I assume he'll carry on managing his own Team Wiggins and probably be involved with the track squad in some capacity |

Here's the retirement statement (and picture of career medals/kit/etc) he posted on his Instagram profile. Quote:
I have been lucky enough to live a dream and fulfil my childhood aspiration of making a living and a career out of the sport I fell in love with at the age of 12. I've met my idols and ridden with and alongside the best for 20 years. I have worked with the world’s best coaches and managers who I will always be grateful to for their support.
What will stick with me forever is the support and love from the public though thick and thin, all as a result of riding a pushbike for a living. 2012 blew my mind and was a gas. Cycling has given me everything and I couldn't have done it without the support of my wonderful wife Cath and our amazing kids. 2016 is the end of the road for this chapter, onwards and upwards, "feet on the ground, head in the clouds" kids from Kilburn don't win Olympic Golds and Tour de Frances'! They do now. |

A great competitor and Olympian - but maybe a shame he is retiring under a bit of a cloud albeit not down to him of course.
