What absolute class from Froome, telling Porte to go up front and lead them all onto the Champs Elysees. Brilliant

Ok, I love Paris, but the number of scenic helicopter shots are getting a bit much! Note to French TV: some of us actually want to see the cycling!

David Millar has a go to get away.............Lars Boom and jens are up at the front.............but the peloton is going so fast it's difficult for anyone to go a couple of K faster to get away...........

Millar and Fleche still up the road..............about 10-15 secs ahead

The change in the course, going round the Arc, is making it more difficult for a breakaway as the peloton had to slow down to get round the usual 180 degree bend but they can take the Arc bend at full bore.............

These ads are great
Never worked out why someone goes for a solo with 25k to go. Are they expecting a massive crash behind them, as that's the only way they will win.

It's to make sure they're shown on the telly

Keeps the sponsors happy !
