At least Kenny has the World Champion (Stefan Bötticher) for company in the bronze medal match. Ironically (during the 2013 Track WC in February), Kenny sent him to the 1/8 repechage, then lost in the QF.

Same tactic as before, worked beautifully. Cueff tried to lure Varnish to the front, but she didn't go for it.

Kenney wins bronze on a DQ of his opponent - that is it for tonight, just the sprint medal ceremonies to come.

In the end, both male Germans were relegated in one of their two races.

Dmitriev's manner of victory in the second race against Förstemann was impressive. He now has three European sprint titles.
