Gold no 1 for GB, crushing the Aussies for the men's team pursuit gold.

Silver for GB in the women's team sprint, we're still a bit down on the best at the moment.

Congrats also to Kate Archibald for her silver in the women's scratch race, she was riding as an amateur for the City of Edinburgh club team just this summer.

Great performance from our team. Shame this wasn't advertised as well as it could have been, it must be a growing TV spectator sport.

World Squash on the other hand which followed the track cycling, is the "Cinderella sport" as far as TV is concerned, despite the number of people who play.
Considered "boring" by TV networks as a spectator sport, other than for those who play it.

Becky James on being double world champion. Says she took part in a proper Keirin tournament in Japan after becoming world champ, winning all 9 races she entered.

She'll be up against Mears (and Vogel?) in the Women's Sprint and Keirin this weekend. Filling Queen Vic's shoes very nicely so far.

Don't think there's any racing until 19:00 according to the schedule. BBC timing is wrong.

Supposed to be 6 according to various BBC news articles, but 7 according to red button TV guide.

They're currently showing F1 qualifying highlights on an endless loop. Where's that w@nkers smilie?

It was. On 301 and 303 on my on-screen TV guide, it was scheduled for 6.00pm.

Then I noticed 303 earlier this evening had changed to 7.00pm, then 301, changed to that time too.

I didn't watch last night cos there was too much else on..............90% of the normal telly programmes I want to watch in the course of a week are all squeezed into 2 hours on a Friday evening across five channels

But I'll probably watch it tonight................of course I've discovered that Virgin broadcast the red button programmes on Channel 991 which solves a lot of 'red button rage' when you can't find things that are meant to be on..............and it turns out they're not on normal red button but connected red button. All too complicated for me...............

What a great ride from Katie Archibald for the bronze in the individual pursuit! Polish girl absolutely sprinted out of the blocks, almost got the catch, but died in the last km.

Gold for Jo !

This is good telly sport...........everything contained within a small area, all the action in one frame, mostly easy to follow (except for the long distance races)
